The game is done; I've won! I've won!
You know that boiling anger that builds up within your gut when your math teacher deducts 2% from your term report on the second day of school because your calculator's batteries run out half-way through class? I despise my math teacher already (which doesn't help, as she's also my homeroom teacher) and it's only the second day of school. Something tells me this is going to be a long, long year.
The giftie class received the same lecture on the new grading system, recently fangled by THE BOARD, *counts on fingers* four times today, leaving us rather twitchy by the time math rolled around (during which we received another mini-lecture on the same thing as the day before), possible resulting in the spiteful deduction of marks not only off my own report card, but also those of a few of my friends.
Luckily, however, all of my electives are art and I learned today that the first term of English will be spent entirely on writing short stories. Yay! *does a dance* (I made a moneyless bet with Sammie-chan that I could work ninjas into every single one of them in one way or another. That means I don't lose anything if I fail, aside from my pride.)
My geography teacher is infinately cooler than last year's, which comes as a great relief. He's the coolest guy: he has an earing, plays Greenday during school hours, and he keeps his motorcycle helmet on his desk?
Art class, of course, is great fun, as I am in there with two friends, one of which is also trying to learn Japanese. We had fun compiling a list of "What Art Means to Us". We finally settled on the caption for our project, 1337 15 4r7, y0|_| f1ng n00b. My friend drew a picture of Teh Dewy (xD--this reminds me of a convo with Azure a while back..."How the fuck do you spell dewy?") Eyes Moose, and presented it to the whole class, which is mostly female and half ESL. Unfortunately, we are stuck with several posers. Damn.
I am in the best gym class that has ever been. A third of it is giftie, another third is made up of not-obnoxious-non-gifties, and the other third is...ESL. No posers there. Nope. *sigh of relief*

Watched an episode of Phantom Memory Kurau, and love everything about it, barring the ending theme. Perhaps, one day, I shall come to love that, too, but not now. Alas.
I still need to get Sammie-chan a birthday present =_=, but have my other friend's (Gil's birthday = Sept 11th) present sitting on my shelf. I finally know what to do with that volume of Get Backers. Haha... I tried to sell it to him and that didn't work, so I'll just unload it on him and not spend extra money on a gift. Works. Sammie-chan's present requires thought, though, because she's that much cooler than that other guy.xD Which means I need to hop on the subway and make my way down to the Hairy T to buy it... Soon, soon. >_>
Oh yeah, and my mom said she'd order me a MegaTokyo shirt but they don't ship to Canada, so I guess I'll order a Stinko Man one instead. : )
Ninjas are so frigging cool. |
