Best. Page of Megatokyo. Ever. (And if you haven't read it--assumptions will be your downfall one day, I swear. >:^O)

Well, after a few days, I think I'm pretty much back to being my old, (insert appropriate descriptive term here) self.
We're heading down to the city she lived in for most of her life on Wednesday and having a memorial service. I guess I'll be staying with my aunt, who is then coming to...stay with us? I am not sure why or how the plans after and including that point are going to go, but I'll be sure to keep you posted [as if you cared].

I shall have to sacrifice my room for guests to sleep in, so I shall shotgun the den (room with computer in it) for my own sleeping purposes. Heh.

My English teacher brought to light the details of three writing competitions that are to take place this year. I hope to enter all of them, especially since one is American, which means the prize money is in US dollars.
You can read the potential success of a group of students according to how quickly they perk up when presented with an oppertunity to win a nice sum of money. It's made all the more nice by the fact that we wont need to use it to buy food, clothes, or other such trifles.

Did I ever mention how much I love comic books?

*big grin*

Speaking of which, Samm, we really do need to go manga shopping within the next few weeks.
Since my mother spontaneously decided to increase my allowance by 25% (I'm still trying to figure out why she did this, seeing as I don't do chores or anything. O_o Not that I'm complaining, mind you.^^"), I am actually able to accumulate enough money to...buy stuff within a couple of weeks.

If you're thinking I ought to get a job, check my birth year. Pft.

Loser. xP

Speaking of accumulation, it occurs to me how many French dictionaries I must have. You know how it goes: French is mandatory for so long, you just sort of lose them every couple of years, and your parents feel obligated to buy you a new one. Then you find them again, in the most unlikley places (underneath one of the bunks on the boat O_o"").
Let's count 'em:

-the Larose one
-the Webster one
-the Webster one my dad bought for himself, then gave to me upon giving up on French for a time
-the Oxford one
-the Oxford mini one
-the other Oxford mini one

O_o"" Or maybe I'm just a horrible person who can't keep track of her French dictionaries.

Bah! Ils pouvent manger le merde! (Unless my conjunctions are messed up, however. In that case, forget about the dictionaries; screw French in its entirety!

I have to start that French project that requires a web page of me. Heh. I can't wait to get started on the GIFs.

We ought to compile the best 100 blog entries ever and publish a book, therein making lots of money.

Because so many people would be interested in reading what we had to bitch about. xD

Well, then again, you see enough books subtitled A book of musings that it's always a possibility.

Joined Narutofan.com's forums yesterday, and some of the things I read up there really got me thinking...

...OB is so infinately superior to everything, it's not even funny.

Edit:

One of the prizes on Narutofan is a Naruto wallscroll. Wow. I totally can't just go to the mall and pick one up from a large selection, at any of several stores, for less than fifteen Canadian dollars, whenever the urge overcomes me.

Heh.
