I think something teeny, tiny, and utterly insignificant just got reflipped to
Know what pisses me off? And I mean really, really makes me want to run through the House of Commons with a chainsaw?

When people type things along the lines of this:

It's as though they have invented some new profanity so unbelievably obscene and longwinded, the censors just know to black it out without any one's prior knowledge of its existance.

Either that or they can't fucking spell the word ASS.
For the love of all things sincere in this world--swearing being one of them--why must you add so many god-damned asterisks?! They are completely and utterly unnecessary, and it makes it painfully obvious that you're such a frigging pansy that you can't choose to type without curse words, or simply type them and see if they get filtered or not.
It's one of the most n00b-tastic things any one can do. I mean, it's as though they're doing this kind of thing on purpose.

Which brings me to another question...

How can these people live with themselves, knowing that the most intelligent thing they've ever contributed to a heated debate is "omfgz duds that iz soooo narsty lolzorz!!!!!!11one" or "no, i dun think thas gud couse some pplz are all flippy and dun no how respect me man".
And don't tell me you could understand either of those any better than I, being the one to let them roll, pitifully, off my fingers, could.
And don't tell me you've never seen blatant, blistering, in-your-face (thanks for the expression, Sammie-chan, despite its originally being applied to propaganda in the US) crap like that on OB, because you know it's out there...!!!!

How can some one make a pattern of posting such utter drivel where it will rub shoulders with at least half-decent replies to things worth reading?? How can they expect any one to take them seriously? And how can the complain when a mod threatens to ban them?
They can't. But they do, anyway, which means they ought to be lined up and shot.

And back to the bit about the ********************'s.

Another thing I can't stand is "fake" swearing (barring the words "frick" and "frig", because they're that much fun). Words like "shite" (*stabs Senny*) and "dang".

Words that have no purpose but to give losers who lack either the balls or readily-applicable-to-females-expression to actually say the word "fuck", or "shit", or "damn".

It reminds me of those god-awful Chicken Soup for the Soul books, all of which ought to be piled up and, if not burned, as that would be too Nazi-like, locked away forever, because they are just that useless and lame.
No, I don't care about how you saved your little sister's life by praying to god and how you recovered from bullimia because Jesus came to you in a dream and told you he loved you anyway.
And I don't care about the time you were enough of a loser to by one of those books after not your tenth, but twentieth birthday, because you're too much of an uber-loser to find anything intelligent or substance-having to read.

Morons, all of 'em. They can go boil 'eir 'eads in vats of camel fat, for all I care. 'Twould be doing the world a favour, as far as I, or any one else of consequence (yes, I am an individual of consequence, you supreme loser : P), ought to be concerned.

And that is why punctuation is an integral part of any post, on OB or elsewhere.
