Finally got Fullmetal Alchemist: Dream Carnival yesterday. Spent a few hours unlocking the first 4 characters, and in general just messing around with it.
I would say, it is an interesting and fun take on a fighter. Most other fighters will put you against everyone else, but here, you are in a team, with 3 lives to split between the two of you.
Currently, without a multitap, half the players are always going to be computer controlled. But once we get true multiplayer action, the actual dynamics of the game should be interesting. I think the worst part of this game so far is when a special is being done, the actual screen is shrunk down to a small box in the upper right corner, making it quite impossible to figure out what is going on.

But its worth it, because in the end, you get to see Al shoot a stream of cats from within, or winry summon RoboEd

More astonomizical things
First off, a cool word. There is, in fact, an explosion even more powerfull than a supernova. They happen when the biggest of stars explode. The end result is an implosion of the star's core into a black hole, and an explosion of the remaining material of the star in what astronomers call a "Hypernova".
Which sounds pretty dang impresssive, really.

Oh yes, I finished my illustration for a class today. I may refine a thing or two tomorrow, but essentially, its done.

Stars are awesome.
Especially the big ones, because they explode into supernovae.

I hope a star in our galaxy explodes into a supernova while I'm alive. Apparently, for about a year, they're so bright you can see them during the day, and at night they cast shadows. That is really awesome.

Terribly sad
Well, here I am, 9 minutes before TMBGs tickets go on sale for Indianpolis, waiting for it to be 10 am.
Then, I look at the rules for the venue.
And it says, "All patrons must be 21 or over."

Sigh, there goes my dream. Heck, of the three of us that wanted to go, I'm furthest from the mythical age of 21.

Well, in better news, YamiSnuffles is coming down today, and while this means I have to clean, it also means lots of fun. We're once again going to try and wrangle Naruto 4 from our friends and have a magical ninja killfest.

It has been a day, so now I can observe fully the effects of my study.
Rin, posted yesterday, has gotten 6 votes, and 0 comments. 1 of those votes was a vote of "no".
One to the left of Rin is a pencil drawing that is barely visible and appears to perhaps include kakashi. This piece got 10 votes and 4 comments.

thus smashing the idea that it is "cute girls" who draw the Otaku in. Now I am just quite confused, for I have no idea what can influence their mind to actually take the time to look, vote, and comment. It's kinda depressing, really.

Well, I originally came back to the otaku to do fanart to see if anyone would like it. I guess I've learned that, compared to Myui and YamiSnuffles, my fanart would be disregarded if we ever got a table at Jafax. Sad.
