Why is it that men wish to remember the "rebels". Most people have the idea that we are supressing the African Americans and put our heritage in the same place a discrimination, and racism. This is far from the truth. Slavery was the last thing on the southerners mind when he marched to war. The cause of secession and the war were a direct result of the removal of some of the states rights. The southern states beleived that they could govern themselves, and wished for the Federal Government to be weaker, and wanted the states to have more rights. Most common men did not understand polotics at the time. They only had one thought on their mind when the trouble broke out, their state. Most men who fought for the Confederate Army did so in defense of thier state. They were defending their home. The people at this time in American history had a strong patriotic feeling toward their home state, so strong that they would fight and even die to protect her soil.
So why do we do it? Why do we march out onto the field and remeber the 'rebels'. The answer is clear...
Although the outcome of the war is well known, the so called "winners" should not get all the glory and leave the Confederacy fogotten and shamed.
"The men of the Confederacy shall always be remembered as defenders of hearth and home."

Wish I was on the pitch
My life has sunk to a new low. Problems left and right and no solution in sight. Of course it gets this way evey now and then.
Life sucks, of course I'm used to it by now. Well, the end of the year is about here, and theres a battle coming up in january, so I may be able to have some happiness in the near future...
