New story Im Writing!
Stolen Lives
Chapter 1
The First Demon
It was a cold winter night in Ancorage, Alaska of 1826. Sia, a young girl about 9 years old, was playing outside with their black and white husky, Ein. Her older brother Jase, about 15 years of age, was watching her about 12 feet away on their porch. Their life had been plain, what some of us would actually call boring, but little did they know that their lives would take a dramatic turn.
It was dark outside, the only light allowing them to see was a shabby porch light. Even with that, the wind and snow blinded all who gave in to its mighty blow. "Sia!" Jase called, "It's time to come in, the wind is too strong right now!" There was no answer. Jase was standing on the porch side-rail with his hands shielding his eyes from the winds. The light flickered. "Sia!!" He called one more time. There still was no answer. Jase looked around the house. Still no Sia. Jase looked paniced. Then he noticed a light in the barn. He ran into the barn and slammed the door behind him. There was Sia. Sitting on her knees feeding the sled horse, Jack.
"There you are!" Jase said angrily. "You know to never..." He trailed off. A small narrow head poked around the stall. "I...Is that.." Jase stammered. "Yep!" Sia said happily. "Jack and Kien had a baby!" Jase walked over and sat down next to her. "I thought they were both boys." He said. "I did, too." Said Sia. Sia yawned hard and rubbed her eyes. "Come on Sis, lets go to the house and tell Mom and Rodney. Jase picked Sia up and started toward the house.
About half-way there Jase heard a noise. He squinted and looked over his shoulder. Still holding Sia, asleep, in his arms, he kept on walking. Something wasn't right. It had only taken him about 5 minutes to get to the barn from their porch. Jase looked at his watch. It had been 20 minutes. The storm had picked up since then. It was hard to walk and hold an 80 pound girl at the same time. Jase looked around. All he saw was a swirling white oblivion that seemed to swallow them whole.
Jase was in a panic, he didn't know what to do. "Home should be around here somewhere.." He thought. Jase looked around his shoulder, there was still nothing. Suddenly, out of nowhere, there was a deep voice. "You don't know where you are do you?" the voice said, "You will sleep now!" "What? What are you talking about?!" Jason yelled. There was no answer. Then a large object came at him, it rammed right into his stomach. Jason's eyes filled with pain, and he fell to the snow covered ground. The last thing Jase saw was a dark shadow pick up Sia and walk away. Jase passed out.
The next morning Jase awoke. He was covered in a 1 foot blanket of snow. After he dug his way out he walked into the forest hear him. Sitting on a large fallen log, shivering, he thought about what happened last night, then he shot up. "Sia!!" He yelled. Yet, there was no answer, just the diserted silence he heard before.
Tell me what ya think...k?
