Today is a day for remembering...
I'm serious; today is a day for remembering. I don't know how many people remembered, but I found out today was that the one of the victims was a Holocaust surviver professor, who held the door shut while the gunman was shooting his way through the door. The students were able to flee by jumping out the window, but the professor was shot dead, for an act of heroism and bravery.
When I heard that this morning, I felt terrible; we had studied over the Holocaust in English, and I felt that he had suffered enough; why couldn't he live a peaceful life to the rest of his days? ;_;
I found out this afternoon that he was also a Romanian. Liviu Librescu.
That made me even MORE miserable! ;_;
One of my own people from my ancestors' land, shot dead, doing a brave deed. *sniff*
I salute you, Liviu Librescu! May God watch over your soul! (sorry for sounding formal, but I do feel that it is neccessary. I just feel sad right now; for all those people...)
It turns out that the gunman was a Korean-immigrant student who was a loner and chose violence to lead his life--and ultimately, his death. Even if he did do this terrible deed, I have to sympathize his parents, since I heard that there were kind, outgoing, smiling people.
I hope God shows mercy on his soul...
Today was the Math TAKS test.
So...hard! ><
I was the last one who finished, but, I guess that means that I just took my time, and worked very carefully.
Now that I think about it, I'm ALWAYS the last one who finishes in the Math TAKS test! LOL! :D
I think I did OK, but I'm always nervous with the results of my math test...O_O
PLEASE, LET ME PASS, JESUS! ;_;
Thank You for listening. +
In English, we did a run-ons sheet.
In Computer Lit. I typed in Mavis Beacon. HA!
I am on 54 words per minute now! XD
My goal is 58, and I WILL achieve it! XD
In American History, we presented our projects.
I presented mine, too, but we didn't get to everyone. My American History teacher said she was going to video tape us and put the vid on the Internet.
O_O
I'm scared.
Tommorow is the Reading TAKS test, which should be easier (and shorter) than today's test.
Good luck (to me, too)!
