Hyde
Looks like a lot of people don't know who hyde is, ne? Well for those of you who don't, he's the vocalist for L'arc~en~ciel, but he also does solo work. He is 5'2'', so he is pretty short, even for an asian guy ^^' (but then... i'm 5' so i'm pretty short, even for an asian girl xD) Hyde also starred in a movie with another famous singer named Gackt. This movie is called "Moon Child" (and although i haven't seen it i am sure it is good). Hyde is married (T^T) to a woman named Megumi. They now have a son who is a little over a year old (i want a picture of him)... for more info..... ummm i dunno a good link, but i could find one xD

Pura
haha if i have a post about hyde, i need one about pura too, just to be fair xD so... today i was listening to another song besides tsumetai hikari (although i still listen to that one a lot) and... i could understand an entire verse by itself! lol it was cool. i like the feeling~ i feel not so "un-fluent" even tho i am xD

my sister told me (again) that if i wanted to feel like i understand things, i should just listen to american music. haha.... shows how much she understands. pura is too awesome for me to give up.

Art [Poll]
Ok, well i've been debating a lot on this so... what should i do with my art?

(a) concentrate more on anime
(b) concentrate more on realistic style

yeah... i'm not particularly better at one than the other, so i don't know what to do... ^^; i can find as many flaws in my anime styled work as in my realistic style work... so i don't know ^^;

Magazines
On thursday i went to the japanese book store and outside they had all of these clearance magazines! and... they were all for 1/3 price! n_nv i found a shoxx, a fool's mate, and an issue of what's in..... total value was $35 and i ended up only paying $10 hehe. even tho they're kind of old, it's ok because i can't read it anyway lol.

Short post... i don't seem to have ANY energy left lately, so i'm simply copying from what was on my dA journal today:

we (me and julie and peter) are having a big discussion that all came from drinking soda o_O;;;;

ummm julie was drinking a soda and peter said that she shouldn't because it makes life shorter and drinking it is like killing yourself XD

so............ then something came up with it's your destiny to die so you may as well just drink the soda and enjoy yourself. but peter says that you should try to make your life longer. julie says that your destiny is set so it doesn't really matter WHAT you do, because either way you're gonna die when your time comes.

then we started talking about "do you really control your own destiny?" and peter says yes and julie says no and i'm just lost because i don't know what i think of the matter. x_X;

according to peter, you control your own destiny, so it's like if someone hands you a gun and you shoot yourself then you CHOOSE to shoot yourself. but julie says that if you shoot yourself then it means that it was your DESTINY to shoot yourself X_x;

now we're talking about... if you do something, you do it by choice but the outcome is the destiny (julie) and peter says... everything in your life is like a book and you can't control it xD

as all of us are some version of Christian, there's always the whole... "God controls what happens" edge, but of course we also have free will.... this is really confusing me now.

if you can't control your life then... is there a reason for living? since what you're going to do is already planned then.... yeah i dunno.

so.........

what do you think?? do we control our own destiny? i'm curious to know what everyone thinks.

EDIT: I'm thinking of redoing the layout... maybe i'll make it a 1 year anniversary layout, since that will be coming up in March.. right now i like the idea of monochrome...

DDR
i've decided to take a break from heavy levels (even tho i only started yesterday xD) i played for an hour and a half today and i'm kind of like... dead xD;; i need some more stamina... so until i can consitently get A's on ALL of the standard songs, i think i'll stop attempting heavy ^^' haha.

ddr is really addicting. even after like... 2 hours of it, i'd still want to play xD;; oh well, at least it's good for you. Since i bought the game (ummm about two and a half weeks ago) i've lost 5 pounds. O___ov

Party
So today was my friend's birthday party. I don't really know her that well, but she invited me anyway haha. It was at some park. we ate chinese food and then she started music and wanted us ALL to dance o_o; and do karaoke o_o;; the only problem was... i don't sing and the most dance i've ever done is ddr xD and i didn't really know anyone there either, except for one xD;; so i hung out with her and watched all the CAMS students play on the playground and what not. haha. this is supposed to be the future engineers and mathematicians of america, and they're going down little kiddie slides and riding on horse-shaped seesaws xD; keep in mind that they're like 16 and 17 lol. we were all joking about that and this one girl took pictures for yearbook.

Gothic Lolita
haha i REALLY want a gosurori outfit... or at least to cosplay as a jrocker in gosurori... haha.

10 things i need to do before i can get a gosurori outfit

1. learn to sew without bleeding xD
2. figure out what outfits my parents would kill me for wearing (this might be a problem... ^^')
3. learn to read japanese so i can read the pattern books
4. get enough money to buy a pattern book AND fabric
5. get a little taller so that the patterns actually FIT me
6. decide on a pattern book to buy
7. find time to actually MAKE the outfit (between school work and volunteer hours and such)
8. get some shoes to go with the outfit (all i have are tennis shoes, and that just doesn't work xD)
9. learn to pose (XD j/k)
10. get my own digital camera so i can show all of you the completed work! ^.^

Cube
I've got my average time down to 5 min 19 seconds! hahaha. my mom thinks i'm obsessed with it... just because i take it everywhere i go doesn't mean i'm obsessed o_O; she's afraid i'm gonna be antisocial and only concentrate on the cube i guess. haha.

Gaia
I got a GaiaOnline account today. My friends from church have one and they said that it's really fun. I'm still kind of new, but if you want to visit me, my username is kurage chan

i'm back
yeah sorry for being gone for so long. i'll get back into the habit of daily updates soon. ^^;

DDR
Today i spent an entire HOUR on DDR. by the time the hour was over, i could play a heavy song and consitently get a C (two B's but i just got lucky xD) of course i was playing the same song for the whole hour so i have no idea how well i would do on the other songs (i was playing Dive [more deep & deeper style])...

hopefully i will get to learn to play heavy well... because it looks fun... hehe.

i didn't plan on starting to learn heavy, but today when my cousins came over i accidentally set it on heavy and started playing. i was doing alright and then i thought "hey this is harder than i remember it" and all of a sudden i looked down and "OMG I'M ON HEAVY MODE!!" and i failed. haha. my cousin told me "until you realized you were on heavy, you were doing pretty well" (at this time i was playing D2R btw). so i thought that if i didn't think too much about "it's heavy so i can't do it" then maybe i could try heavy levels. and it turns out i was wrong. but after that hour of practice i had gotten a C ^_^

and it was worth the effort, but i think i overdid it. by the end of that hour, i think i looked like a corpse that just happened to be moving to the dance steps xD;; haha but yeah.... it was fun.

ddr club was friday but i was too shy to play in front of people. i mean... there were those guys who get like AAA on challenge levels... it was kind of embarrassing. mike, who pretty much runs the club, tried to get me to play, but i used my rubiks cube as an excuse. i was like "but i want to solve my cube faster! as soon as i can consistently solve it in under 4 minutes i'll play" and of course i didn't finish that quickly so i didn't have to go up in front of people xD;

Rubiks Cube
yeah so as i was saying, i would like to learn to solve it faster. just for fun. so far i'm kind of slow (average of 5 min 21 sec) but i guess to other people i'm not. as mike would say "watching you solve that cube is like you watching me play ddr" haha. so i guess he must think it's pretty amazing xD;;

i need to get a new cube though. since the cube i use is old, whenever i try to solve it faster, it falls apart! o_O;;

Xanga
I'm having a small contest. i am switching xangas soon and whoever guesses my new name correctly gets a wallpaper or avatar! go to my xanga for details.

Grades
so friday was the last day of the semester. and i found out in science i have an 89.8%!! i like died x_X; i mean, it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so close to the A... by 0.2%!! gahhhhhh...... hopefully the grade on my final will bring it up. so long as i get a good grade on the final... i can get my 0.2% back and what not.

speaking of which, finals were actually kind of easy. english was so easy compared to the other tests she gives us... maybe she thought we would all fail and made it easier on us ^^' science was LONG but it wasn't as bad as all the upperclassmen said it would be. engineering was alright. and it was open notes so that was good. math was SO easy. i bet even someone 3 years younger than me could do it. japanese was pretty easy, mostly because whe haven't learned a lot yet ^^;

Bookstore
Today my mom took me to the japanese bookstore ^_^ it was fun. i wanted to get a glb but i was afraid my mom would get mad at me for liking dark things so i didn't o_O; well next time i go i'll try to get it. i was ready to ask for the pattern book, but they didn't have the right one T.T so instead i got the next issue of shoxx. Fanatic Crisis was on the cover, and it had a big poster of them. (but i still like my pura poster best lol) And this issue came with a CD sample. The group was called "phantasmagoria" and the CD featured their first maxi single, "material pain". It was pretty good, the music was cool and they had cute guitarists too... one is named Jun and one is named... well i don't know his name because i can't read the kanji. xD; One day i will get access to a scanner and show you all a picture of them.

Zeus
I recently completed downloading a manga called "zeus". it's really good, and if you want to download it go here ^_^ the art is really nice, i'd like to be able to draw like that... hehe

Finals
Tomorrow I have an English final and an Engineering final. I hope i do well. I'm more worried about the English one, because mr. williams told me that even if i didn't take the final i would still have an A ^.^ But i really want to do well on my science final since i'm not sure how my grade will turn out >_>;;

i don't think i explained that here yet?

on friday we got a progress report if we had less than a 75%. and he gave one to me! o_o i was like... crying o_O; *ahem* but anyway after i looked at the progress report i found out i should have gotten credit for a lot of things that i didn't. including an assignment worth *cough* 50 points. so this week i have to go in and sort things out, but i think my grades will be ok. and if not then um... well i'll worry about that later >_>;;;

Yearbook
I miss my old school xD so today i looked through my yearbook and such. some people had really funny things they signed... hehe. i'll put them up here, but i'm replacing my name with Sou-chan xD;
