stupid site...
bleh remember when i was talking a lot about my friend and everything? well this is like the only place i can talk about him and yesterday the site SHUT DOWN shortly after he got depressed.
>.
well i still think he is depressed, but he assured me that he wouldn't be able to kill himself because of his fear of pain. "no, i'm not afraid of death, i'd welcome it, but i am afraid of pain" is what he said. so if it's his fear of pain that's keeping him from killing himself, i hope he fears pain forever.
at least he knows that there are people who care about him, but he still is depressed and wants to die (before he would be like... 'i have no friends' and stuff like that)
so now he's not really on a "i want to kill myself" thing, but instead he thinks that no one will remember him if he dies. "a week or two of mourning... and then everyone will forget about me" he says. and everyone is telling him that he will not be forgotten, but he doesn't believe us. he said something about how it's so easy to forget things, that there is no chance he will be remembered.
;_;
i hate it when he says things like that, it makes me so sad to think that he wants to die or that he doesn't think anyone will remember him or anything else like that. if only i could see him then maybe i could convince him...
but that's impossible since we're not even in the same continent and we both have no money.
i don't think i've ever been so worried about anyone before...

Preparing for the wedding...
well... my cousin is getting married this saturday, so i'll be gone next weekend. ;_; i'll miss you even if it's only for 3 days!!
a couple of days ago my mom took me and my sister shopping for stuff to wear. i already had a dress but "let's just go and see what we can find"
for those of you who don't know me (meaning all of you ^^;) i almost never go shopping for clothes. i get my t-shirts from the craft store because they are plain and i can get them oversized... and when i need jeans i go to the mall and get the same type every time. it's just less effort that way.
don't ask me how i turned out that way, i just don't like shopping. for clothes that is. i'm perfectly fine when it comes to manga and anime and gothic lolita mooks and FRUiTS magazines... and jpop and jrock, and basically all that stuff... but when it comes to clothes... let me put it this way for those of you who read my last entry:
I WOULD RATHER SPEND 24 CONSECUTIVE HOURS IN MY ENGINEERING CLASS THAN GO SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES FOR 4 HOURS.
clothes as in the "girlie" clothes i guess you could call them. like the fitted t-shirts and the low cut jeans and whatever else people call clothes now.
but... ask me to dress up as a gothic lolita, and i MIGHT do it, depending on how frilly it is. maybe like that riku pic i keep showing, the one where he is in his bat hat? ^_^ that one is nice and plain... and of course i could be like the kodana gothic lolita and wear gothic suits and top hats... oooh top hats *has a strange obsession with top hats*
and i do wear my fuku... sometimes.
but that's about it. other than that it's baggy t-shirts and jeans... good thing i'm thin enough (and short enough) to buy from the children's section where they're not like skin tight XDDD
oh... this just turned into a rant. i'm sorry i'll go back to the wedding topic now ^^;
the wedding is on saturday, but on sunday and monday our family will be sight-seeing. we might even get to go to jtown ^^ but then again it is a bad area so we might not XD i forgot where else my dad wants to take us... yeah... that's about it for now.

High School....
Here is a description of life at high school, in order of the classes i have.
Just a short note, our class travels together, so like... the classmates i have in period 1 are the same i have in 2, 3, 4... etc. except for foreign language and elective. but i'll get to that later.
1 [english]: This class is ok, not that hard, but a lot of reading, which is time consuming. but overall, i think i might like it. the teacher is nice, explains things well... um... yeah that's all i have to say about this one.
2 [phys ed]: well i only get this class twice a week since we're on block schedule, and we rotate teachers every 3 weeks. currently we are doing golfing. which is kind of... interesting. i can't help but predict that someone is going to be hit in the head by a random golf ball and get a concussion or something. but that's just my paranoid nature. the one problem i have with this class is our rotation schedule. we get swimming at the end of the sememster, meaning that it will be winter. and thus, it will be cold. not to mention that the pool is outside, and doesn't have a heater. we're all going to freeze to death, but that's ok, because i already warned everyone that i'm not going to survive high school ^^ the locker room is ok, but it's hard to tell the different lockers apart so i had to use one of my smile stickers on it ^^; yeah, if you don't remember i made laruku stickers with my friend a couple of weeks ago. i'm not looking forward to the showers... XDDDDDDD
3 [science]: so far science is my favorite class. well it was during orientation. i'm not sure now. our teacher is funny and explains everything, but he got sick so we're having a sub for the next couple of weeks. i'm worried about the finals that we get in the class at the end of each semester. the upperclassmen have told us that he gives us a 300+ question final with not a lot of time to finish, and one girl told me that she finished about half of the questions and then time was up. the other thing is that i have to do a science fair ALL FOUR YEARS. i thought i would be done with that in middle school, but i guess not. at least they are more lenient with science fair topics, but he warned us not to use anything with a backbone in our experiments, otherwise we might get in trouble with some animal rights people. snails, however, are great science fair animals, according to him. but i think i'll stay out of biology for my project XP
4 [math]: we have a strange math program. the stuff we learn seems kind of random, like brainteaser type things. last week we were doing stuff i had to do last year in geometry, but i guess some of the students are coming from like algebra 1 or something. the good thing is i got a good grade on the diagnostic test, and my teacher thinks i will do well in the class. he encourages us to talk to each other while doing our assignments, something that nobody in our class is used to. we always have a "problem of the week" which seems more like an essay on how to solve a brainteaser than anything else. but it's only been a couple of weeks of school, maybe things will change.
5 [engineering]: i don't really like this class. it's nothing against engineering, in fact i was looking forward to the class until i got there. our teacher talks. a lot. and for a long time. (our classes are 2 hours long) and usually it would be easy to pay attention, but when he starts talking about how he doesn't like australians because he's from new zealand or whatever, it gets hard. not to mention that the upperclassmen say koreans have an advantage in his class. (his wife is korean-american) isn't there something illegal about that? like... prejudice or something? i don't know. but it doesn't really seem fair. he goes through his powerpoints just a little too quickly so i have trouble taking notes, but he RARELY uses powerpoint, i think he did once during orientation, and once during school, but only so he wouldn't have to write the solutions to the answers on the board. he likes to talk about past students, such as the guy who's afraid of his wife, the girl who is smart but lazy, and of course the people who mess everything up. so everyone is on edge, trying to make it so that he doesn't talk about them later to future freshmen. he also will throw in a piece of information that doesn't seem like we will use it at the time, but a few days later, "oh, i mentioned that a couple of days ago, weren't you listening?" but we are listening, we just don't know what to listen for. XP if not from p.e., this will be the cause of my death. i'm starting to use the class as a comparison... "i'd rather spend a full month in engineering than go shopping" (oh, yeah, if you don't know i hate shopping... XD more about that later)
6 [study skills]: at first everyone was afraid of our study skills teacher because she seemed so strict. and she is. but now she's starting to be nicer... even though she still takes off points for bad posture and she still wants us to have our planners a specific way. but she's not really as bad as i thought she would be. ^^ i'm not quite sure what we do in this class, because so far all we have been doing is writing journals and reading "the 7 habits of highly effective teens". the first week and a half was reviewing rules and procedures, so we haven't really been doing that much. once we had a sub who was about 40 minutes late though... that was about the most interesting part of it i guess...
7 [japanese]: this class is pretty cool, and for those of you who don't know, all my japanese lessons come from here. i do not change them in any way. just what the teacher writes on the board and what she gives us on worksheets. she is an interesting teacher. she has a really heavy japanese accent, and she has a hard time with all of our names. so we get to adopt japanese names, i think i'll just go with my given japanese name, but i'm not sure... ^^; it's a fun class, very relaxed.
8 [computer applications]: omg this class is BORING. we don't have our accounts yet so every day he has to go to each of our computers (there are about 25 of us) and log us in, one by one. and then he goes over things even kindergarteners know. on the second day of class (the first day was all logging in and then we ran out of time because it was a shorter day) our teacher taught us: What is the taskbar? and then we went into powerpoint and he taught us what the title bar is, and what the toolbar is. i knew this from, oh, say... kindergarten XD maybe even before. and then he asks us, "Who knows what a font is?" >.
well that's about it. hope i didn't bore you.
