Twist and Shout???
Yesterday after class, like I usually do, I went to Lance's house. It had been raining off and on all day, and it seemed like nothing to worry about. Later on in the day, a tornado warning was issued. I was gonna go home at about 6:45, so that I could be home at about 7. Well it was raining pretty bad when I was leaving. I made it out the subvision and down the road to the first set of street lights. Its raining even harder. The traffic lights cut off. The wind picks up a little more. The tahoe in front of me decided to keep on driving, and he was almost hit by a car that was coming towards his left side. Lance calls me to see if I'm ok. I look up and a car door is coming towards me. It hit the front end of my truck and kept on flying down the road. After that, I was like "fuck it. Home can wait. I'm going back to Lance's. Much, much closer." I'm panicking cause cars are going every which way cause southerns I.Q.'s drop while driving in the rain. Trying to make the 3 minute drive by to Lance's was horrible. Huge trees are covering the road, and you have to navigate around them like a maze, along with the oncoming cars. I made it back to Lance's in one piece, but the whole event was a little scary. But now that I think about it...I was in the heart of a tornado!!! hahahaha! That is awesome! But once the weather got better, I drove home. Lance followed me about halfway home to make sure that I'd be ok. Then after that, he drove around town to see all the damage that was done. Going home all there was were ambulances, fire trucks, and squad cars. It took forever to get home cause there was no traffic lights anywhere in town there were working. But yeah, I had and interesting day. While I was driving home, I called Lance and told him that today was a very interesting way to start our 6th month together. I got mad at him about something that he said on AIM last night, was pissed at him until about lunch time, and then got stuck in the middle of a tornado. Exactly how many couples are as lucky as us? lol. But yeah, that's my day.
