   NaNoWriMo
I hadn't actually planned on getting 50,000 words with one story, but that's the way it may go. I'm not sure, but it's looking that way. I am having fun with it, though. It's fun because it's a freewrite, meaning I have no plan, no idea where I'm going, but I'm having fun with it. I get to make snarky commentary in it, too :D Wheeeee....Random insanity and rediculous euphemisms are fun, aren't they?

Watashi wa hentai ja nai, shikashi, anata wa fushinja desu.

ja mata ne ;)

   Who?
I'm just kind of wondering who it is I have to do and what exactly they want done to them in order to get reviews on my stories? I have a grand total of 3 reviews on my most recent work...out of 279 hits...that means that about 99 out of 100 people who read don't bother to say anything to me. Is it bad? Is it good? Did I leave in a dangling partical? or...or...or...I don't know! Am I bad writer? I am a bit frustrated, I tell you!...just in case you couldn't tell. *sigh* Oh well...I guess it doesn't do much to gripe about it...does it? *pout* Makes me feel a little better, I guess...until I look at the 3 reviews again...I mean they're wonderful reviews, but...it took 9 days to write the story and it's got pictures courtesy of the wonderous Shadow Jaganshi...and 3 reviews! *grumbles*

Oh, yeah, I learned how to deny things in Japanese :D I can now say "watashi wa hentai jenai!" ;D I'm so obnoxious ;D lol and...lesse..."watashi no aoe saru wa tabemashite watashi no ramen futon no ue jenai." would be "my blue monkey ate my ramen not on the futon" or something like that...

   Randomness...
As if you expect anything else...

For those who wonder...polylingual means I can communicate in many languages. I speak English, I can sign, I took three years of German in college, can fake enough Spanish to get by (Spanglish, anyone?) and am learning Japanese. I also can understand a fair bit of Latin, but can't really speak it, and have sung in Hebrew, so I know a few words. My favorite words are: sensual (relating to or affecting any of the senses or a sense organ; sensory), kirikirimai (Japanese for a whirl, going round and round, or rushing a person off his feet) v'rotznim (I can't remember exactly, but it's Hebrew and either means to take council or kings of the earth), and sed quid in infernos dict? (more than one word, I know, but Latin for "but what in the hell does it say?").

I really love language and words. I love to listen to people speak and hear how everyone talks differently. I work with a lot of people from the Philipenes and they speak Tagalog a lot and it's interesting to me to hear the rhythm of the language, and how their cadence in English is different from a native speaker. I also work with a lady from India and her cadence is different as well. I can almost pick out where people are from by how they speak English, even if they don't have much of an accent. It's kinda neat. There are nice things about working in an airport :D

Well...I guess that covers it :D Ja

   Music and Muses
...and frosting. I'm eating frosting for breakfast...and why you ask...we're pretending you care, right...anyways...the answer is mostly because it's there...sad answer.

Music: Currently listening to Orange Range...I'm not sure what my favorite song is...Either Viva Rock~Ryukyudisco mix or maybe Kirikirimai...or...*~Asterisk~. I got teased the other day because I had a Lorenna McKennitt song come up and I was asked if I was allowed to listen to music that wasn't in Japanese or by Japanese singers...*sigh* lol

Muses: Why is it my muse insists on dropping words into my head for a new story that has nothing to do with the fandom I normally write and then give me the end of the story I want to write? Okay, let's clarify that...I normally write YYH fanfic...my new story is Naruto...I want to write a Kurama/Kuronue, which I'm getting the end of, but not the beginning...and I have the feeling I won't have the beginning until I finish the Naruto story...my muse believes in carrots...*sigh* Anyways...I should get back to writing Naruto so I can get the beginning of my story! :D

   Writing writing writing
I do so love when my characters go and do stuff and it's not what I thought they were going to do. Here, I thought I was gonna write a major seduction piece, but no-o-o-o, it's a we both want this but one of us is unsure if the other is okay with it thing...if that makes any sense at all...
And then...I think I finish one story, and as I'm sleeping the same night, a sequal pops into my head...I hate having to hold a story while I write one out...It's confusing at times...and I worry a bit that I'm gonna loose the one I've got on hold, but I can't write them out at the same time because they have a character in common and I'd get too confused trying to follow both of them. I'm pretty sure I won't loose the second story...I mean the one I'm working on didn't get lost when I had it on hold. We'll see...I hope it goes well...and then, I have a challenge piece to write (two of them, maybe) and two essays (one to explain probability waves and one to explain why I'm so wonderful and should be chosen to be in the JET program)...Someone wanna borrow my brain and get all this out for me? lol Or figure a way to get them out more quickly? I mean, I already type 50-70 words per minute, but I average only 500 words or so of fiction per hour...partially because I do things like this while I'm writing. When I'm really flowing, though, I can get 1500 words per hour, but not really much more than that. With my stories typically being well over 10000 words, that's a bit of time...The one I just finished is almost 19000 words...*sigh*...I think I'm just a gluton for punishment and a review whore ;)

Gotta love it when a plan comes together
As some of you know, I'm writing a story that follows cannon for YYH (I don't know who all reads this...I know those who comment know I'm writing this...) and I had an idea of how to add my little twists and turns to the story...and then I went and reread the sections of the manga that relate...and my twistedness fits in perfectly with cannon!!! Can I tell you how happy I am? It works so well ;D Now, I just need a damn title for the story!

I did find my trash can...as for how I lost it...I live with three other people...one was taking a wireless card that didn't work in my computer out of it...they moved my trashcan...but, now it's back ;D (I get excited over weird things)

I've been watching the fansubbed version of Naruto...I'm on episode 20. I like it...I can see how writers see so much slashability in it...especially after the episodes with Haku and Zanzuba.

Another series that's really good...I can't remember if I mentioned it here...is Kimi wa Petto (You are a Pet), which is based on the manga published under the title "Tramps Like Us" It's a 10 episode series (most series in Japan have a set arc they cover, so they're more like mini-series to Americans). I think there may be 10 volumes to the manga, too. Synopsis: Woman finds this boy (he's 20, she's 28) in a box in front of her apartment. He's been beaten up and she takes him in and takes care of his injuries. When she asks him where he lives, he says "Here." She says he can only live there if he will be her pet, no human rights, having to obey her, and so on. He agrees and asks her to name him. She calls him Momo (which means "peaches" and is a girl name). Momo is a famous and talented dancer (and really very adorable!) who left home when he was 16 and had been drifting around. Sumire (the woman) starts dating this guy at work she had a crush on before he left to work overseas, but feels uncomfortable around him, but with Momo, she can be herself. I won't say any more, but if you can find it, I highly reccomend either the show or the manga. Oh, and it's a live action series.

Just a random thought...does perception make things real? If you can touch, taste, see, smell, hear something, does that give it reality it may have otherwise lacked?

   Oh...wow..
I just looked up the application requirements for the JET Programme...I am qualified, but it seems so intimidating... JET Programme Official Website (USA) It's a bit mind boggling looking at the application requirements all spelled out. But, it's also something I really want to do, so I'm gonna do it. :D

On a random tangent...If a story warns about "shonen ai" in the summary...does it make sense to complain about the shonen ai in the story? I mean, c'mon, people, get with the program.

Totally completely random...my trash can vanished from by my computer...I should go find it.
