next assignment
We are going to make banners. This was chosen, mainly because my scanner isn't able to be installed due to my old computer. But also because banners would look nice on our sites, including this one. Here are the specs:

Size in pixels: 450 x 80 or less
The subject matter does not have to be original. You can use any other work that is not yours.

Again, please try to stick to the theme of rain ninja when creating these banners.

Please do not worry about making these into links. I will do that once you finish. Just tell me if you absolutely want them to link to a certain page. Otherwise, I'll link it to your myotaku page.

You may make more than one banner, but all we really need is at least one from each member. This way, if you had any good ideas, more than just one, you can submit those too if you like.

Thank you everyone for participating. Next time I post an assignment, I will select one member of the clan to choose our next assignment, so be prepared,,,, HA!!!

you guys are amazing
I had no idea you are so skilled in using graphite. I have to admit, when I saw that the image was gray when it first showed up on my screen, I was surprised you chose such a medium. But you pulled it off so well. Great job guys, and thank you for even participating to begin with. I think next, I'm going to make banners for the clan. If you know how to make them as well, let me know. I think we can turn that into our next assignment. Or if any of you have something else in mind, let me know if you prefer/suggest anything different. I don't want to assign something that no one wants to do. So if you want, we can switch it at any time. Thanks again, and well done.

at the start

My manga sketch I decided to paint with metallic watercolor. The reason for the lack of shade in the coloring. Yes I noticed afterward his arm is oddly straight. I didn't pay attention til after I inked it. Oh well, no excuses for the sketching... Next up will be the other members works when I recieve them. Then I'll post them in the intro section.

Assignment one:
The first event we are participating in will reside under the fan art category. This first assignment is not a contest. It is a chance for all members to participate in the look of our new clan's site.

Here is the first official assignment:
All members will create a piece of art based on the theme: Hidden in the Rain
The artwork should include references and/or symbols that deal with the Rain village from Naruto. For those who have questions about what that is or where to find reference pictures, contact me by pm.

Specifications:
The artwork should be done on white paper that is close to 8 1/2 by 11 inches. It does not have to be that exact measurement, just close to it.

I would prefer the art to be done in the following media:
-Black ink
-graphite is acceptable as well, just not encouraged, as it does not scan well for the layout
-color may be added if desired, yet if you choose to do so, please use cold colors: blue, green violet, etc.

Once again as a reminder, all art that is submitted will be used in some way to decorate this site.

Deadline: FURTHER NOTICE
I EXTENDED THE DEADLINE DUE TO THE FACT THAT NOT ALL MEMBERS SAW THIS POST IN TIME, and if you have any questions, don't assume, just ask first, and of course, I'll be entering my own art as I always will. I'm in this just as much as you all.

Thank you all
Now that thi interest has spread, I've posted h refs in my intro to each of the sites for the first six members of the Amegakure. Please keep in mind that I do not have photoshop to make the winners of the contests any bacgrounds or anything. But if you request a certain theme for a banner, I'm sure I could come up with something for you if you win, only if you want. Also I apologize for not having the corporate coverage for this clan. Meaning, I have no official producer of pictures or any content for the contest winners. But the best I can do is make custom banners or href links to your site. If anyone has any suggestions for anything that has to do with the amegakure, I'd prefer it if you would contact me by private message on this profile, not hishyama shark, which is my general profile. Thanks yet again for your patience. I am grateful to all those who supported my idea for the Amegakure Clan.

The Amegakure
Join me in the uprising of my new clan. An art contest channeling blog where we'll recruit artists into the clan to participate in various drawing contests, under the name of the Amegakure. Uh, yeah, that's just a fancy cover up for this new clan of artists. But seriously, let me know if you are interested. Now by interested, I mean you're not joining, I just need to know how many artists that will get involved in this.
