Hey y'all! How's it going? I had quite a good day... we built towers! Well, model towers... we had to get in groups of three ppl... each group was given the same amount of material and we had to come up with a design and build it within two hours. The only thing tho, was that my "group" consisted of me and another guy, only two of us. We went for something simple, 4 legs with pieces in between to hold them together, kinda like those water tower thing. What's cool is that I got to play with a cutter (cut all the pieces of wood) and the glue gun (stick the pieces together)... dont worry, no one got injured, LOL. Oh yeah, there were requirements, such as it had to be at least 60 cm (=about 2 feet) tall and the top had to be 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm (7.5 cm= about 3 inches). The rest was up to us... it could be any shape as long as you dont run out of material... some groups had some very fancy looking tower while ours was like plain, LOL. So yeah, that was kinda cool... better than write for 2 hours anyway. And next week, we get to break our towers! See, the aim was to see if we could build a strong structure and we're gonna see just how much weight it can take before breaking. The group with the strongest tower gets highest mark... I wonder how our tower's gonna do.
No class on friday, weekend! 8 more weeks to go... *sigh* Okay, that's enough of that... glad you like the new layout by the way! Shutting up...
