Hey y'all! Sup? This here page is hinaru's myOtaku, make yourself comfortable and enjoy your stay, lol. Anyway, I'm a 22 year old college student, currently living in NZ for, well, college actually. I obviously like anime and manga and also video games. I play guitar and draw too, I'm not too bad either, lol. And that's pretty much all there's to know... for now.
Anime series I like include Hellsing, Bleach, Naruto, Trinity Blood, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop... and more.
Video games I like include the Final Fantasy series, Devil May Cry series, Onimusha series, Metal Gear Solid series, Guilty Gear, Kingdom Hearts... and some others

Hey y'all! Wassup? I'm alright... except I think I'm a bit sick, oh well. I havent posted all week cos I had to finish my report among other things... and yes, I finished it.
Anyway, as to what happened this week... monday I went to class... we got back the test we did before the break and well... not so good... ah, screw it heh. We also got a project back which was better, I did pretty good. But the best part monday was, of course, the Korn concert! [If you didnt know, I went to a Korn concert monday night] I'll get back to that later on.
Other than that, the other days were alright, nothing much going... went to class... worked on that project some more. The weather was switching from sunny to rainy back and forth. Wednesday night, I watched Lost which was good. And that's a quick view of my week so far.
Anyway, now let's get back to the main event of the week, the concert!! Okay, here's how it went:
[I'll use some approximate times] 5:30 pm. I arrived (I took a cab) and there was already a lot of people waiting. Everyone was wearing black (mostly) and they all had band shirts, mostly Korn but also some others like Slipknot, marylin Manson or Nirvana. I was wearing all black too, with my Metallica shirt. 6:15 pm. The doors opened. 6:30 pm. I got in. I bought me a KoRn "Tour 2006" shirt. Front side features the See You On The Other Side album cover (pic above) and back features a list of all the places they're touring in this year. I put it on immediatly, over my other shirt lol. 6:45 pm. Dawn Of Azazel (NZ band) started playing. I found myself a nice spot with a nice view of the stage. Too bad I wasnt in the mosh pit area. Anyway, they play a few songs... it was alright. 7:15 pm. It was 8 Foot Sativa (another NZ band)'s turn. It was pretty good... better than Dawn Of Azazel I thought. Again, a few songs and that was it. 8:00 pm. After a 10-15 minute set up, Blindspott arrives on stage... and the place starts to fill up. Now, things started to get interesting. And yes, it was great. They kicked things off with 'Yours Truly', which some of you know, and everyone was singing along... awesome... they played some other cool songs like 'Nil By Mouth' or 'S.U.I.T'. The crowd was going crazy and jumping around lol. Then they played some new songs that will feature on the new album (that's gonna come out on may 29th... cant wait!) so we got a nice preview. 8:40 pm. Blindspott left the stage. Final preparation before Korn started 9:15 pm. Yep, it took over half an hour -_- seems they had troubles with the audio. Anyway, it was worth the wait. They (Korn) started with 'It's On!' and man, what better song to start with? Oh, but the stage was empty, except for the mic, and all you hear is that sound at the beginning of the song. Everyone recognized it and started screaming. The curtains then start to open but just in the middle part... and all you see is the drum set and David (drummer) started playing. [It helps if you've heard the song before lol]. Then the rest of the band arrives in front of the curtains and Jonathan kicked off "COME ON!! IT'S ON!!" and the crowd jumped like mad, it was awesome! After that song, the curtain opened completely and you could see the whole set... oh, the characters from the booklet of the album were there, the horse and the rabbit (from pic) along with the pig and a fourth one (not sure which one it was... the cat maybe? Yeah, let's just say it was). The horse was playing keyboard, the pig was the second drummer, the rabbit had percussions and the cat was the second guitar... cool stuff.
They played all the cool songs! Hits like 'Counting On Me', 'Falling Away From Me', 'Here To Stay', 'Got The Life', 'Freak On A leash', 'A.D.I.D.A.S' to name a few. As well as new songs like 'Twisted Transistors', 'Coming Undone' and 'Throw Me Away'. Everyone in the crowd was singing along, it was awesome.
Oh, one thing I liked was the guitar solo Munky did at one point (like half way through) while the horse was playing a nice and calm piano tune. Some people in the crowd were lighting their lighters up in the air... it was... beautiful lol XD.
The last song they played was 'Blind' and as it WAS the last one, everyone made sure to go even crazier, heh. 10:50 pm. Concert ended. I was soaked... like I jumped in a pool or something... and no it wasnt rain or anything... let's just say it was hot in there, lol. Well, it was crazy... everyone jumping and pushing like mad, I was so tired and sore afterwards heh... ah but it was all worth it. Oh, and I almost lost a shoe again in all the action, haha. It started coming off but I managed to keep at least my toes in XP.
Anyway, after the concert I had to wait for a cab to pass by. It was cold, my clothes were wet, my legs hurt and I was tired... that wasnt very pleasant. 12:20 am. I finally got a ride home. Yes, I waited a pretty long time before I could finally get a cab -_-. I got home, took a hot shower then went straight to bed.
Annnd that's how it went... that was one awesome concert, worth every dollar I spent that day, yep. Heh, I've been listening to Korn all week after that.
And shit that's a long post lol... if you read it all, congrats... if not, well that's just too bad now, isnt it? Lol, j/k it's okay if you didnt.
