peep this
if you didn't catch this in the intro, I started a new clan for manga artists. the specs are not developed yet, but if you are an aspiring manga artist, let me know if you are interested in hearing about what this new clan is all about. I'm not asking you to join, I just want to know who is interested. It's not just to make a name list of artists, I'm going to host categorized manga contests..

try this
can anyone solve this mystery of the month!?!?!?!?
check it:
if a man jumps off of a bridge,
and you hit him with your car just before he touches ground,
is it suicide?
or vehicular manslaughter??
this is a tough one I have been trying to figure out ever since the homies thought it up.
except, I have done absolutely no research on the laws.
let me know what you think of it

new favorite anime
thanks to the fuse channel on satellite, I can watch my new favorite anime, Ergo Proxy. This particular series is another one of those futuristic take on the conspiracy within an investigations bureau and its security branch. Inspector Re-al Mayer (shown on my current background, and yes, she is based off of amy lee) is caught up in a cover-up operation by the investigations bureau(which is led by her grandfather) when she is attacked by a dark unidentified creature, which she later learns is called a proxy. This traumatic event leads her to conduct her own search for the truth behind these monsters and why she was attacked. Now, the setting takes place in Romdo, a futuristic dome city locked away from the outside world, where the proxies are said to inhabit. Yet those who live in the wasteland outside romdo say claim that proxy are not monsters. And that's as far as I got. So if you are interested, at least let me know what you think if you decide to check it out.

trying to locate some anime
Lately, I have been watching anime a lot more than I'm usually able to. That ability comes from satellite movie channels. These titles include mirage of blaze, 10 tokyo warriors, and shinesman. So if you happen to have satellite tv with stars movie channels, check out some of these titles

Thanks e'erbody
I'm really surprised that everyone who posted, and I thank you all, agreed with me on the subject. Mainstream is great and all for the popularization process, but I still think it's more enjoyable when it's an underground type deal, where it's not over done. Compare it to a new song, Mr. Brightside for example, where it's really awesome for a while until it's too cool that everyone plays it all the time. Then you get sick of it. Because it's overplayed! The same goes for anime. Where is all the fun going to go when all of our favorite manga and anime are overplayed like Mr. Brightside? Who will we blame when that time has come when there are no good anime out there anymore? Well I'll tell you folks, we will search. The only comfort I have to offer you all is this edict: There is enough anime out there to always provide for you, and you will always be able to find one you like. Although this is contingency only, we still would like to enjoy naruto and inuyasha before the fun-sucking providers who think they are doing good, take all the glory out of a good show. So until that dark hour comes, enjoy the otaku life, and protect what is rightfully NON-MAINSTREAM!

a test of your faith Mainstream or no?
How many of you have noticed how popular an anime gets once it is aired on cartoon network? Noticeably inuyasha and the current Naruto fad that has been going on here in america. If you're like me, do you ever get pissed off when a manga or anime that you have been reading or watching for a long time gains popularity. It's really wierd, but I get mad when that happens. I'd like to provide an example of one that I have been reading for a long time. 5 Years ago, when I started reading Shonen Jump in eighth grade, I fell in love with the manga Naruto. And have been reading it ever since. And now that cartoon network has popularized it and brought so much attention to it, it's not all that fun. Does anyone else out there agree with me!?!?! I think the majority of good anime is non-mainstream, for some reason it's better because you're one of the only ones who even like it. Although sometimes it sucks because it's hard to find someone to talk to about it. Still, the real anime are the ones that you enjoy and no one else does. No matter how wierd you are for liking it. Agree or no? I have to know. If not, that's cool, just tell me why not.

Long time since I've posted
but I'm going to pretend that I'm always here. Once I fix my laptop and get my internet connection, I'll hopefully update more often. For those who care, I've finally become someone with a profession. Someone who thought out his future, and plans to succeed. Now I know a lot of us here on my otaku are, of course, otaku, and our lives revolve around anime. Now most of us don't even know how to speak japanese, but how many of you actually plan on a career that has to do with anime? If so, would you need to go to japan in order to fulfill these aspirations? Of course I need to, I want to work for sunrise( producing studio for gundam etc.) But I have no idea if I need to speak the native language in order to work on the board for an anime. Since I've been a member of my otaku, I have gotten a lot better at drawing, and now design many subjects for numerous clients. Hopefully, someday you will see my designs animated on a new anime when we are all older. Keep living the otaku dream kids, and never give up on your dreams. til next time..
