Uberness
heyllo my pretties, miss me much?!?! so i'm just gonna give a bit of an update, cuz a couple people have been asking where i am. sorry to make anyone worry...

the past two weeks i've been training for a new job (same place, new position), it has eaten up a lot of my time, and all of my energy. i'm just not used to the schedule yet. but it's getting better. this week i started working the job on my own, which has been stressful, but productive. i like the job. it's a bit hectic, and there's a lot of pressure to get everything right, but all the other employees are super cool and understanding and forgive me when i screw up. Things at home have been non-existant since everytime i'm at home, i'm trying to sleep. consequently, the five mintues i see my mom every day consist of her yelling at me for not getting any schoolwork done. she's the one that told me to get more hours working anyway. >_> but whatevs, i'm ususally too exhausted to care.

college things are going well. to anyone that doesn't know, i was accepted to Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and plan to go there in the fall. i had no idea how i was going to pay for it (Hope's cost is about $33,000 every year), and things were looking bleak for a time. i knew i was eligible for a scholarship, but it wouldn't be much. i got news of my scholarship award a week or two ago, it totalled $7,000, a fair amount, but still not enough to get me there. thus i had to endure Mom yelling at me to try and get scholarships off websites (those of which are basically impossible to get), but once, again, i was too exhausted to care. then, about a week ago, Hope sent a letter of their financial aid report to me, stating that due to my family's circumstances (meaning we are way super poor) Hope is willing to award me $30,100 a year (including my scholarship) in financial aid. well hell yes. i guess i'm going to college next year. the last $3,000 i can pay on my own with the money i'm earning right now with this new job. so suck on that mom. no loans for me.

yeah, so i'm looking forward to the college life. i've got a lot of books to write, a lot of manga to read and anime to watch, and a lot of tatoos to get. finally.

i'm sorry i haven't been around lately to see/talk with anyone. the only reason i can post this right now is because i'm at work waiting for a shitload of papers to print, and i've got five minutes of downtime. soon my schedule will be more consistent again, and i'll have to start making some plans.

and so i leave you with my current favorite quote:

Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
~Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
