These blast of pain
are as thick as
the aura about me
I keep on trying
just to get you
to accept me
I'm in too deep

from this beating in my chest

but

that way
kiss my cheek

All alone in a corner

All alone in a corner
piled by shelves and books
in the deepest cranny
filled with nooks
all alone in a corner
waiting to leap out
these feelings on paper
I wish to shout
all alone in a corner
sitting there is me
waiting for you
to set me free

Stepstairs

I had fallen once or twice
as a child
but those were small scrapes
and I had still smiled
But this time
My body had flung itself
down the stairs
my nana was frightened
and tore out her hair
I felt a pain in my waist
and saw the twisted look
on her face
and then I had felt a tad scared

Rose

I pluck your pretty petals
I stroke your many leaves
I get pricked by your stem
I smell your face and begin to dream
I pluck another petal feeling alive
and then I realize another rose has died

You say things you cannot possibly mean
your words have begun to haunt me
in my dreams
pretty isn't always what it seems
once you know what's inside of me
