The Shinobi
god what a day.my mom is going crazy with cleaning and shes driving me nuts! i ended up having an asthma
attack because of all the dust.if you missed out on earlier chapters just check out my archives or scroll down.suggestions are welcome if youve got any ideas.

chapter 3- the Shinobi code

Jade stood frozen watching him
ride down the street.There eyes met.
She stood transfixed as his blue eyes bore into hers.(oh my kami...)
Then she snapped out of his trance and bolted away into the crowd.She ran blindy into the main street knocking over various people and carts of goods.Then very strong hands grabbed her waist and held on tight."youre not escaping this time Jade."one of her fathers samurais growled."Let me go!!"she shrieked,
thrashing around wildly."Hes coming to get me!!!!"LET GO!" Jade bit his hand as hard as she could and tore away from him.In shock and surprise
he dropped her."Fuck..."he cursed and surveyed his bleeding hand."Why are you just standing there?! GO GET HER!" he barked to the other samurai.They sprung into action
and took off down the street after her.They didnt stand a chance.Jade had already left the gates of Edo and was searching wildly for Raylana
in the fields.She brought her fingers to her mouth and whistled loudly.Immediately she heard pounding hoofbeats and a familiar whinny."Good girl Raylana!,lets go"
Jade swiftly swung onto her back
and kicked her into a dead run.(gotta get home.gotta get home.
gotta get home.)They left the city in the dust and sped home.Jade didnt ease Raylanas pace until they were a good 5 miles away."easy girl,easy.."
she said to the panting horse.(im sorry Raylana....im just so scared....)She shivered at the memory of the blue eyes.(Why did he look at me that way?it was like he knew me....)Jade spotted the familar
towers of her home and sighed.Her father was going to kill her.(if im lucky)She sighed and put a very tired Raylana into her stable.The horse plunged her head into the waterbucket and drank vigorously.
Jade giggled."rest up girl.."
She made her way slowly twords the front door and sighed.(well...gotta face him someday)She silently slid
the thin door open and peaked inside.Her father was at the table drinking sake and staring out the window."Hello Father.."she whispered
He stood up so fast sake went spilling everywhere and the table fell over."Jade?Is that you?..." He was obviously drunk,he couldnt stand up straight and he was staggering.
"Yes...." She looked down at the floor.Seeing him like this was unnerving."Oh i was so worried.."he mumbled."I thought that warlord had gotten you..."He staggered forward to hug her but passed out in her arms instead.Jade slowly let him drop to the floor and stepped over
him.She wandered to the back porch
and spotted a familar falcon sitting
in one of the trees."Sherack!oh i
missed you!here boy."she called out to him happily.Sherack glided gracefully from his perch to her shoulder and nuzzled her hair.Jade loved animals,and they loved her right back.Shed been walking in the forest one day and found him all alone in the bushes,she raised him and they had been friends ever since.Strangely her and Sherack
could understand eachother somehow,
they had there own language.Jade remembered the strange shinobi
and told him the whole story,the falcon listening intently the whole time."Go find him Sherack....and tell me who he is."With that he took off and dissapeared into the darkening sky.

The castle guards waved Feore in as he galloped past the tall castle
walls.The Shoguns castle was beautifull but he was in no mood to appreciate beauty.Hed finally spotted the girl who had been haunting his dreams but shed escaped
before he could talk to her.His sensai came riding up behind him
and scoffed at him for such nonsense."Wasting your time on a commoner....how foolish.." Feore grit his teeth and bit his tounge.
A young servant girl came running to him.She bowed respectivly and said
"Master Shogun is awaiting your arrival,come quickly now or he will become angry."Feore tied up Jumiyo
and ignored her.He patted Jumiyos head and made sure to loosen the uncomfortable saddle."Lead the way then stupid girl...hurry now!"his sensai growled to her.She nodded and scurried off beckoning them to follow.Feore followed behind her begrudingly,he wanted to look for the girl....Not humble the Shogun.
(be patient....ill find her soon enough.)The girl pointed them to a pair of thick maple doors then ran off down the corridor.He wished he could run away too but his sensai was blocking his escape.Feore opened the doors and entered an elaborately
decorated room.The Shogun was a fat old man,with impatient eyes and a permanent frown.Feore and his sensai bowed respectively then sat down before him."Are you the new Shinobi at my service?"he boomed at Feore.
"Yes master Shogun.."he replied looking down at the floor."Then i have your orders ready"he paused and took a gulp of sake."There is a merchant family that has been profiting off my land for many generations without my consent.They have ignored all warnings to clear out so action must be taken.You alone young Shinobi must assasinate
the merchants only family heir.Bring me their head,and you will be rewarded greatly.If you fail....I will make sure you wont forget it..You have 3 days."(oh my kami! is he serious?i really have to kill someone?!!!)Feore quickly regained his composure."Yes master Shogun,I will not fail you."
He then bowed and exited the room,his mind racing.Could he really kill a human being?He had too.His families honor depended on it.His sensais reputation depended on it.
His future depended on it....(gods...what will i do?)He quickly exited the castle and refastened Jumiyos saddle."Sensai,
i will meet you at home.I have business to attend to."He kicked Jumiyo into a gallop and began to
searh Edo for the strange girl.Feore carefully scanned the crowd but her sad green eyes were nowhere to be seen.He rode each street 3 times before giving up."comon Jumiyo...
lets go home.." Feore couldnt help but feel dissapointed.The girl had
slipped through his fingers like water.(oh well....i shall find her one day)He took one last look at the great city before galloping off twords home.

   The Shinobi
hello again,

chapter 2- Trouble in Edo

The sun was begining to burn through the fog as Jade entered the outskirts of Edo.She urged Raylana into a gallop as they passed some traveling acrobats and beggars.They made her uneasy and could become reckless.Jade tried to forget her troubles and enjoyed the wind rippling through her black hair.She loved riding with Raylana,it made her feel free and powerfull.A shout jerked Jade out of her thoughts.
(oh crap....)It was her fathers samurai.He had found her bed empty
and Raylana gone from her stable
earlier,and sent his men to retreive her.She wasnt going home without a fight."YAH!!!"she screamed and Raylana sped of down the road.The samurai followed behind closely
but little by little they were losing them.The samurais horses were built for battle,Raylana was built for speed.A few moments later they were only specks in the horizen."easy
girl,easy" Jade cooed as she slowed the poor horse to a trot.She spotted
the gates to Edo just ahead and stopped.She turned Raylana loose to graze,she could walk from here.Jade
hid her face with her scarf and trotted into the main street of Edo.
She inhaled happily and began to wander the streets taking it all in.
She loved the countryside but the city would always be her favorite place.Jade watched the acrobats shed seen earlier perform for coins.They were really good.Jumping and leaping
and twirling all around.If she had brought coins they wouldove definetly gotten some.(i love Edo.)
Jade smiled a rare smile and continued to happily watch the acrobats.But happiness never lasted long for Jade,she spotted her fathers men parting the crowd looking for her.(dont they ever give up?)She sadly slinked away into a less crowded street and began to look for something else to do.Then she saw the scariest looking man
shed ever seen riding down the street twords the Shoguns castle.

"Hurry up Feore" his sensai called to him,"the Shogun hates to wait."
(im coming you old bat...)Feore sighed and wandered tword his room to dawn his armor.He secretly loved the way it looked and made him feel.The blacksmith had done a good job.His favorite part was the mask.
In candle light the 4 blue eyes seemed to glow with a alien light.
He quickly grabbed his katana and made his way to the stables.His sensai was already there looking at him with approval."Quckly now Feore,
we have a long ride to Edo." Feore didnt answer,his sensai often annoyed him but it was extremely dishonorable to talk back to your sensai.He sighed again and clucked to his favorite horse Jumiyo.He was an amazing animal,not at all like the stubby battle horses but tall and elegant.Fast too.His grey coat shimmered in the shadows while he whinned softly to Feore."comon boy,
lets get going" he mounted Jumiyo
then started off down the road to Edo.The rain had stopped leaving the sky washed and clean.He smiled to himself,he did that often....It was looked down upon for shinobis to show emotion."lets go Jumiyo" As if
understanding his words Jumiyo galloped off down the road twoards the great city.A few hours later they began to see the gates to Edo far off down the road."we made good time Feore,let that poor horse rest." Jumiyo was panting heavily
and his head was down low.(sorry buddy.)Feore eased his grip on the
reins and looked up to the sky.He noticed that in a nearby field a magnificent black horse was grazing alone.(thats odd...such a valuble horse wouldnt be left unattended.i wonder where the owner is?)They slowly entered the city gates
and rode twords the shoguns palace.
Feore really liked the city.It always smelt like cooking food and
interesting things were always happening.(ahhh...its been to long.)
He inhaled deeply and let himself relax.They turned onto a less crowded street and lazily made their way tword the castle.Feores mind drifted back to the mysterious girl again.(who could she be?....)He suddenly froze, there she was.Their eyes locked for a moment but then she darted away....dissapearing into the crowd.He was already halfway off his horse ready to give chase when he heard his sensai snap at him
"stop it Feore!!! its just a commener! if we dont hurry well be late!" Feore ignored him and scanned
the crowd for her face....her eyes..
anything..."FEORE!!!" He cursed to himself softly and remounted Jumiyo.
(ill find her later)"comon..."Feore kicked Jumiyo into a gallop and they sped twords the Shoguns castle.

The Shinobi
hello again,

This is my fan fic ive been trying to work on.I wasnt gifted with writing so its kinda hard for me.If you like it great!If you dont, i dont give a crap so dont e-mail me about it!It takes place in ancient
Japan.

(thoughts) ~~~~~~~~~ = scene change

chapter 1- The assignment

Feore arose from his deep sleep
to the sun peeking over the horizan.
Strange dreams had been bothering him lately.He kept dreaming of a strange girl with sad green eyes.
(stop it! your meeting the shogun today for your first assignment!
dont screw it up!!!)He sighed and got out of bed to do his warm ups.
Feore had been training since he was very young to be a Shinobi.An
extremely dangerous and skilled assasin who worked personally for the Shogun.(A/N-i dont know if this is true but in my story it is)He was 16 now,and his training was almost complete. Muscles rippled over his young body as he jogged around the countryside.His peircing blue eyes taking in everything.The strange girl wandered into his mind again.Who was she?and why did she look so sad?Feore felt like he knew her somehow but couldnt place it.He mentally slapped himself.Today he had to concentrate.His Sensai was counting on him.The Shogun had declared him ready for his first assignment.Feore shivered with excitement.He wondered what he would have to do.He smiled to himself
and finished his jog.It was starting to rain softly.To him it was a sign of good luck.(today is going to be a great day)or so he thought..

Jade opened her green eyes to her
kitten Shadow lying on her chest sleeping.He opened one amber eye
and yawned in her face.Giggling softly she rose from her bed and quickly dressed in commeners clothes.Quietly she began to sneek out her window.She made sure to glare at the white makeup on her dresser.That stuff was horrible and she hated wearing it.Her rich father was snoring in the next room loudly and his samurais were sleeping at their posts.(good.....no ones going to stop me from going to the city today.)Jade was forbidden to go to the city without proper protection and supervision.Her father had heared rumors of a an angry war lord who was out to ruin the family.But did that stop her?no way.She quickly sneaked twords the stables using the shadows to her advantage."Raylana?here girl"
she called quietly into the morning fog.A pure black horse nickered softly and trotted to her."Good girl" Swiftly she hopped onto Raylana's elegant back and rode away
into the fog twords Edo.

   rain rain..........

   hello,

hope you all had a good christmas.
i did.i got a cam corder!oooh!
now i can finally record all the crazy crap that comes my way.guess what....
today im actually wearing stylish clothes!(i know...GASP)i usually go
for comfort,not style.but, hey
tis the season.i hate to admit it..
but i look pretty good.my friend was shocked.the clothes were a little...
uh.....tight.i dont think in gonna were um anymore.im so tired.i had to keep my gramma entertained so we played cards...and boredgames....
all.....day.its a good thing i love her.god im bored.....i need a boyfriend.

   The Spirit of Christmas
She wandered through the icy streets,
Cold,tired,and alone,
She searched for somewhere safe to sleep,
For this girl had no home,

She walked past a brightly lit window,
And stopped to peer inside,
A couple danced and laughed with glee,
Their feet just seemed to glide,

The girl trudged on through the snow,
Her sad eyes brimmed with tears,
With sunset she walked a little faster,
For her darkness brought nothing but fear,

Down the street she found a small alley,
She curled up and tried to sleep,
She cursed at the twinkling Christmas lights,
Then sadly started to weep,

The next morning she awoke with a start,
And saw a rich man standing before her,
He smiled and said "Merry Christmas",
If he meant it she wasnt sure,

The man reached into his coat pocket,
And pulled out a brightly wrapped box,
"here,take it"he said softly,
But she only stared in shock,

She took it with trembling hands,
And whispered a gratefull thankyou,
He walked away singing carols,
Who he was she never knew.
