   CAMP!
Das right, man!
I'm going to camp! Today!
For a WEEK. Like, a sleep-away thing.
I've never been away from my people that long. But I'll be fine! I'm rooming with my friend...
let's call her <3m<3-chan. She likes hearts.
Yeah.
But- but- but! Here's the bestest part: It's a MUSIC camp!
Music-music-music! Like, 12 hours a day! Theory class and sectionals and orchestra rehearsal and concerts... and if we're lucky, new friends!
Oki-doki! That's all! Just wanted to say buh-bye!

   So I'm Eating Dinner and then My Mom says...
"I know you put violinist/novelist on your school forms

[i'm entering 9th and there was a bunch of career stuff we had to fill out- i would've put manga-ka but A) i'm not that good and B) Mom threatened a ban on the library if i did that. anyhoo...]

"but you really need to start thinking about how your gonna support urself in the future." Right-o then. I can see she's not overly supportive of the bohemian lyfestyle. But anyway...

That reminded me I should probably get back to work on my novel [does it even deserve to be called that?] if I want to get the electric violin. And subsquently become a *rock star*. So-o-o-o
I read through my novel.
I realized it sucked.
I remember I have no idea how the story ends.
I recognized my lack of love for the story.
I started over.
Yeah. Wow. Your probably thinking *gee, she's such a loser. can't even write a story*
Well I'm NOT a loser! So there! *sticks out toungue at you*
But- but I REALLY think I got it this time. New story, full plot, nice characters, element of surprise, Kristina did tarot for it...

So. Would anyone care to read the first scribblings? Particularly anyone with an acute case of insomnia. I think the beginning (all I have) is boring. But that's what I want you to tell me. If you don't fall asleep.

Please?

   GOOD MORNING!
Hey. Guess who's in a great mood today? ME! *i put whipped cream on my breakfast waffles* So... right. It's been a-g-e-s since m put some drawings on. Some of you may be wondering why.
No. I was not eaten by lemmings, despite popular rumours.

ACTUALLY, the real reason is that - yes, I've been drawing- but Mandi-chan and I haven't seen each other since the last day of school.

And- as oui all know- I use her scanner. So y'all will just hafta wait. Muhahaha!

   Who Knew There Was So Much More...
...To manga than just being able to draw anime-istic. I didn't. There's a lot more - dare I say it - work!

Like, with Chakki-chan I just draw whatever comes to mind and hope for the best. But it would seem real manga-kas plan the story. I want to try that.

I drew some characters and thought about a plot. And drew the first page of a story board. Then I got bored/distracted.

So today I have a poem. And then I'll try some more story- wah! a bird just flew into my window- some more storyboarding.
*ahem*

Manga, oh manga!
Filled with hidden secrets!
Like plot and storyboard!
Panels and depth!
It takes a while to draw
But every pencil and brush stroke
Provides great delight!
Manga continues to amaze!
(repeat last line 2 times)

   Reinvention?
So. The story goes like this.
I was drawing. And I realized a terrible thing: I felt cocky.

Like, I was all "Yeah. I can draw manga. Yeah. I'm cool."

Then I realized that I've still got a loooooong way to go. For one, I can only draw one person in a picture. Add two and I get confusifyed. For another, I can only draw simple poses. So I whipped out my handy-dandy how-to-draw manga (overdue) library book.

And started at the beginning.

Step One. Start out by copying the drawings of your favorite artists.

"Huh. My favourite artists..." Well I just started reading Host Club, but... I LOVE the style!

So... I'm thinking that over the summer I'll start at the beginning of the how-to-draw book (Shojo Beat's Manga Artist Academy) and work my way to the end. Sort of like a reinvention. I hope to get a bunch better. And get a Host Club-like style. Because I really like that.

But I'll have to renew the book... or buy my own copy.... hmmm...

   Updates on Stuff:
You may have noticed that I deleted CM. Why? I, ah, ...well I just didn't like it anymore. *short attention span, mebbe*

Anyway, I started a different story that I like much more: Chakki-Chan! It's more chibi than manga, but I like it. Hopefully anyone who has read it likes it too. I'm on page 9! Wow, I feel proud!

Today was the LAST day of MIDDLE SCHOOL. Finally! All the preteens who acted like little kids acting like they were sixteen really got on my nerves. Let's hope there are nicer people at the high school I'm going to.

But... sad news. My !awesome! violin teacher can't give lessons over the summer... she just had an operation to remove a tumour from her brain. So she'll be in recovery for the rest of the summmer. Which sucks in itself, and I have to get a new teacher for the summer. NOT cool.

Wowee... this was a long post. I guess that's all I have to say. Oh, I'd like to mention a really interesting web page. It's worth checking it out, expecially if you've always been interested in the occult - www.werelist.com

   I SOLVED MY TECH ISSUES!
So now I can post all my stuff!
Wowee, it's been sooo long. In the past months I drew the next couple pages of CM, and started a new (but plot-less) manga called Chaki-Chan<3. Soooo... I started posting!

But.... if I try to upload too many things at the same time I get confused. *nods* uh-huh. Like, I accidently posted page 3 of CC<3 twice.

So. I guess I'll log on tomorrow and fix my mistakes!!! And post some more manga. ...That's all, for now. Thanks for reading everyone! (Or is that anyone...? lol.)

   Technical Difficulties Have Arisen.
So, I've had the first 2 pages of CM scanned, but then I messed up submitting them and had to delete everything b/c it was confusifying and start over. Grr.

On the brighter side, I'm almost finished page 3... and I'm thinking that everything will be back to normal by... Friday or Saturday. Something like that.

Anyway, if anyone was wondering... (which I doubt) I have dispelled any fears.

SO, what's new with me? Nothing much... just subitted some stuff, so the first two pages of CM should be up w/in 48 hours. Mebbe you'll wanna take a peek, leave a comment?

Question... since coffee is considered one of the most caffineated drinks, and caffine is a drug... is it drug abuse to inhale coffe grinds?
