   still trying to learn kanji...
well, as the subject implies, I'm trying to learn all the kanji I couldn't learn last week now and well, it's quite...impossible. ah...but I have to. Even if the sun is shining so brightly that I wonder what I do in a room...it's really warm outside, some 20 degrees or so, really hot for this season in Switzerland. But well, otherwise I'll have some problems at the exam. Tomorrow is kanji lesson and everytime the lesson begins our teacher makes dictations (you do not really receive marks, but if you have many faults - bette said, if you have faults - you have to correct them and write it down like in primary school (hehe)). It's not really that bad, in contrary, it really helps you memorize all this stuff, but well...there is so much to do that you often don't have the time to practize really. And if you have to correct it all the time it gets annyoing too. So I often have the knaji sheets she gives to us for leeanring somewhere near me...I know, it's cheating, but since you don't get any mark, I don't have that much a bad feeling about it, hehe. Nonetheless I want to learn the ones we had lately. The ones we had last semester won't be such a problem since I learned them once, so it won't take that long to recognize and rememorize them.

A collegue of mine - she's working now, saving some money for studying time... a really good idea, I'm broke at the moment...should search something for the semester holiday - has birthday this Sunday. I don't know if she will do anything, a party or God knows what, but at least I did buy a present. The only thing left to do for me is the birthday card. I've got no idea what card I should do (I always make them by myself - ok, usually...). Have to think about something original...ah. Hope she will do something at Sunday, so I can visit her (it's been a long time now since I could visit her, because I'm studying and she's working...).

This monday was bank holiday (easter monday) so we did not have to go to university. Unfortunately we had to visit grammar class we would have had at monday on tuesday and it was horrible. I kinda dislike the teacher because you enter the class thinking, ok, now I will learn japanese grammar and finally understand these difficult and complicated verb or whatever patterns. But then you are in this lesson and you think: is this really a grammar lesson? Sometimes you think you're in physics or maths because of the teacher's way of explaining the patterns. With all these A gives to B some stuff but B gives it to C and when A is someone you know good it's passive and if you give it to B, who is still near, but not so near to you like A, you do not use passive but active or just another verb...ah. Horrible. Usually the book does explain it better, and when you see the examples you most often understand the essence of the unit. You make a summary and everything is clear again (but double work anyway). I hope I understand everything until I have to write the exams. Another thing she does constatly, she does not explain the whole lesson. Or she tries to finish some lesson we had last semester...and naturally, you understand even less then before because she's mixing everything so you got no idea what topic you're dealing with. Grammar is really terrible, you see. Today we had grammar lesson (because next monday is another bank holiday, but only in Zürich: it's because of Sechseläuten: some people will wear traditional clothes and go on the streets with their cows so you can't do anything in the city). I'm very grateful this time was not the teacher I dislike but one we have for translating class. He has some humour - he always makes us laugh - and he explains really good. it could partly be because he's Swiss and does not have to think in Japanese and translate it into German for explaining everything. But well, at least what we had today I really could understand it.

Hm...well. As monday will be free for me, I wanna visit a friend of mine and see some movies (the same guy from last time with the movies). I hope he has free time! ^-^ It's really cool, he likes mostly the same movies I like (I remember we talked many lunch breaks about some movies at the school I went before going to university).

We have some problems at home with our internet connection. It's really annoying, I hope my father could do anything about it, so I won't have to do everything at university. It's because we're now changing from ISDN to ADSL (it's a shame having a computer scientist (my father) at home and we still have ISDN...It's two years now, I think, that I always insist on my father to buy it. Finally he decided to do it - don't ask me why, I'm only happy he finally DID decide to do it). Nah, it'll take some time for it, but I hope that at weekend's time I'll have internet connection (sorry I didn't post or comment anything lately, as you see, it has to do with this ISDN to ADSL change). I made some pics and will scan some and if I'm lucky I can upload them soon. I made a picture I like very much of the main caracter I uploaded now sometimes and another of the dark elf (but this one isn't finished yet). Then there are many other sketches, but these are not finished, so it will take some time to finish them.

So---I wrote more then usually (probably because of the lack of connecting to the internet lately).
i hope you guys are doing fine and see you around!!!
