   presentation for the vacant chair...
so, today was the second day with people presenting for the vacant chair. Yesterday and today was really tough, but yesterday we at least had a long midday pause īcause one of the candidates cancelled the presentation. Hm, in general, the most of the presentations just were BORING. But some were interesting, e.g. the one of the candidate who presented "mummy as medicine in Japan of the Edo period"...was kinda scary, but really interesting. Also interesting was the presentation about connections of Indian Religion to Japan (mostly because of Buddhism), and how the people themself saw that in the middle age in Japan (Well, itīs kinda difficult to really sum up this presentation...I totally forgot what the question was the candidate made).
My faves are the one with the mummy and the Buddhism candidate. Although the first one had such a monotone voice that I slept the second part of his presentation...you have to imagine, you only slept for 2 hours, then you had to get up at 5:30 and two hours until you get to university, then a boring presentation, one hour pause, then a trial lesson...then a long midday pause (some three hours) until you finally got to hear this presentation. God, who wouldnīt be tired??? and then...such a monotone voice...nah, couldnīt be helped. Anyway, I was in the back row, so I presume people didnīt notice - and I probably wasnīt the only one...
the presentation I really liked was the Buddhism one of today. The candidate is Italian, so he made the presenation in English. He was really charismatic, I really just enjoyed the way he teached (and I love his accent, really :D). The trial lesson he did was cool too (I didnīt like the trial lesson of the mummy-guy so much). But the problem is, that the Buddhism guy has to improve his German, probably people wonīt vote for him because of that. The problem is, the university has someone doing this job which is vacant at the moment ad iterim. And we students would have theoretically one voice. But as the ones who are leading the students are probably voting for the one already there, the Italian one will prabably have NO chance :(
hmmmm...anyway. I didnīt expect much from this voting thing to begin with. The vote of the students will be one of 8...ah. Well, if theyīll chose the guy who was doing this ad iterim for some time now, I think it wouldnīt be that bad. I donīt really love the way he makes his presentations, but heīs not so bad either and he has good connections and thatīs important, since we studentīs want to go to Japan and so on and so forth...well. Weīll see how itīll end... (Iīll surely tell, when we know the result lol).

for the birthday party, I just figured I canīt do it. Iīm busy on Saturday and donīt have enough time to really prepare it, so I probably only will celebrating with my familiy. Then, maybe Iīll go to the cinema...Iīd really like to see Spiderman 3, as it starts at my Birthday here in Switzerland, (not that I have seen 300 yet...ah...Iīve got so less time...itīs really sad T_____T
But Iīll do a party or something in May anyway, wanna invite some people to where I live (you could describe it as countryside...a really reaaaaally tiny village...).

Hm, the weather is really strange, we have sun all the time...Iīve never experienced such a warm april...23° C...and this in april...wow... this may be not so much for you but for the place I live itīs really high...some 5 or even more degrees more than normal...I remember last year we even had SNOW at the beginning of april.
It is the first time I hear, that the Kanton (you could say "state") I live in (itīs called Schwyz...if you wanna know more, just type it in wikipedia ^-^) had to prohibit any fires in the kanton so that the forest donīt burn, and itīs not the only Kanton...ah. Really bad.

Well...hope your guys are doing well (and that I somehow will survive this week) and see ya around!
