The return of the Indie Rock Child
DEAR FAITHFUL FANS AND RIGHTEOUS READERS OF INDIE ROCK CHILD (and those who just happened upon this marvelous site),

Your subscription has NOT been cancelled, nor has it expired. It was delayed due to lack of internet. However, we here at Indie Rock Child – Nashville are pleased to inform you that daily editions are now available!!! The first five comments posted will receive a FREE picture of the Indie Rock Child, never before released onto any public domain! (Subject to me actually wanting to do that)

Such a dork.

ANYWAY, back to reality!

Returning from a long summer of short, pathetic diary entries, I first would like to say how ecstatically happy I am that I am returning to school. I got a glimpse of what the rest of like would be like after formal education, and, to be honest, I am not too crazy about it. You’re on a constant schedule, sometimes varying from week to week, and, maybe it’s just me, but you’re always worrying about when you need to go to work.

My sister turned 21 yesterday.

I feel increasingly optimistic about my chances with boys this year. So far, all I’ve met are boys I just think are cool, and when I see a hot guy at work, he’s normally pushing a pram, or holding a purse, which I sincerely hope means he has a wife.

I’m looking for a happy Conor Oberst. Calling all single indie boys with positive outlook on own lives.

I’m not asking for much.

I can’t remember if I’ve told you all that I’ve moved into a new room. It’s like I live in an apartment now. I love it. I will make a note to take pictures. Yes. I shall.

Old Navy rocks. Shop there and support my next check. HA! (In actuality, when you shop at Old Navy, you do not contribute to my paycheck. You only contribute to the company, who in turn pays me $8 American for each hour of hard labor I perform. Yes, my dears. I am imprisoned! And YES, I exaggerated a great deal!)

Aren’t you glad to have me back?

Until the next great interesting thing happens in my life, I will leave you to your thoughts, hopes, and prayers.

I love you and I also love that you love me.

-SUSAN (I think I should have a cool title at the end of my name, don’t you?)
