I just bought The Conte of Monte Cristo, White Fang, Call of the Wild, and (for me) Essays and Poems of Ralph Waldo Emerson. The other books I got mainly got for school. I hope you all don't mind if I get something off my consious. I'm really behind in Algebra 1. I never took the Pre-algebra class nor the placement test, but my algebra teacher let me in anyway. My math teacher also doesn't teach Algebra very well. It's making me depressed because I don't understand the material and mainly because my bad grade might keep me from taking the honor classes i want in high school next year.
Urgh. It's extremely frustrating, and the pressure of my future makes it worse. It's not that I can't/won't try, its just that I'm so far behind already. And tutoring a bit of an awkward thing for me, but I suppose it's the best option. Any advice? Suggestions?
