School starts in five days, and I still have summer homework to do. I am such a horrible procrastinator.

I still need to buy a backpack too.

I made a nice pasta salad earlier, with curly noodles, grilled vegetables, tomatoes and Italian dressing. It’s pretty good.

I’m not completely moved out to the guest house either. I still have a bunch of stuff in my old room. I can’t call the guest house the guest house any more either. Should I call it “My House”? Or does that just sound odd for a 14 year old to say?

So that was my day pretty much. Just dull dull dull.

Sure enough, an hour after making that last post, my sister moved out with me. But, it’s alright I guess.

My picture turned out bad-ish. I’m squinting. Wooo.

I got my schedule and locker assignments. My locker is in a far off corner of the campus and is near only one of my classes. And I have this locker for all four years. Almost all of my classes are across campus from each other. It’s a far way to run in three minutes too. Damn it.

I got all honors classes too. I am going to die

I'm back
Music: Auf Der Mar - Followed the Waves

Well, I’ve finally decided to stop being such a lazy idiot and actually post in this thing.

After months of planning and organizing and cleaning, I have finally moved out into the guest house. It’s great. I have been out there for several days already. It’s wonderful to be out there, it gives me a sense of independence. I love to be out there, just reading or watching TV. I even enjoy doing my homework out there.

My sister should be moving out there, but she doesn’t want to. I’m hoping she decides to stay in the main house, but knowing my luck, she’ll be coming out.

School starts in eight days, on August 30th. (I think the math is correct, but correct me if I am wrong) I’m excited, as it is my first year of high school, but a week in, I know that I’m probably going to want out.

Tomorrow is registration and picture day. I think I’m going to wear this red lace top that I found while thrifting and a pair of black pants. I don’t know if I should wear my hair up or down.

I just really want this picture to turn out. Ever since about fifth grade, my school pictures have sucked major ass, and this is not an understatement.

In fifth grade, I looked like I was grimacing, the look on my face plainly said “Is this done yet?!?”

In sixth grade, I looked like a chipmunk. My head was cocked to the side and a smile stretching from chubby cheek to chubby cheek. I still had a “when is this going to be over smile.”

My seventh grade picture wasn’t all that bad actually. I had concert clothes on, so I looked all spiffy.

Last years picture was really bad. I had horrible acne, my hair was messy and it looked dirty and I picked the worst outfit. I had a red little jacket-ey thing on over a tan cami. The red jacket would have looked alright if I wore it over a black or white cami, but I had to be stupid and pick the tan one. Tan. What the fuck was I thinking. It looked absolutely horrible. And I had another grimace-smiles again. That was probably the worst school picture of me ever.

But this year, I hope the picture looks good. I’m starting to think I shouldn’t even try to smile. Because of how bad attempting to smile has turned out in the past. But we’ll just have to wait and see how it turns out. Yay for horrible school pictures.

back
I am back from camp! And I have been since Sunday. I was just way too lazy to actually post though. Camp was lots of fun. It was at a Seventh Day Adventist camp place so they didn't serve meat. We got all sorts of "delicious" soy goodies while we were there. We played all sorts of fun music. In the small chamber ensamble thing, we played the Vivaldi Concerto for four violins in b minor. I played second violin for that. The little solo bit in the middle was kinda hard though, I had to jump strings and just play so fast. But it was fun. For full orchestra we played the Corale and March from the 1812 overture. That was fun. And for string orchestra we played this one Irish fiddle piece. It rocked. I got first violin for the orchestras. Lots of fun.

On Sunday at the concert, my digital camera got stolen, along with all the pictures I took. My dad was pissed, but now he's over it. We're going to get a new one soon. I hope.

Now that I'm back from camp, the days are long and boring. Mabey I should practice.

On Tuseday, I went down to my high school to get my regestration packet with all the paper work that I have to fill out. After that, I went to the library and got Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat. It is one hell of a good book. Go read it. I went to Whole foods, got a smoothie from Jamba Juice and sat out infront of the store at the tables they have, reading, listening to music and drinking my smoothie for an hour and a half. That was fun. But now, I am bored. I think I might go do stuff now. Later.

Music: Avenged Sevenfold - Eternal Rest

Arg. I have been procrastinating in the “write down what happens daily” department. Bad Kathryn. >_< Here goes the past couple of days.

On Wednesday I got my braces tightened. I have had them on for two years as of this month. I hate them so much, but my treatment is almost over. Next month I’m going in for “evaluation.” I hope I get them off before school starts. But we’ll see. My teeth are still sore. Goddamn things.

After the pain of having my braces tightened, my father took me on a belated trip to tower records for cd’s. I got Atreyu- The Curse and Avenged Sevenfold- Waking the Fallen. They’re both really good cd’s. My favorite songs from The Curse are The Crimson, Corseting, Bleeding Mascara and Right Side of the Bed; hell, I like the whole cd! Really pretty lyrics and good guitar work. The Curse came with a demo disc from Victory Records for three bands: Perfect Murder, Matyr Ad and Darkest Hour. They’re all good bands. It looks I have three new cd’s on my to buy list. Well anyways, my favorite songs from Waking the Fallen are: Unholy Confessions, Eternal Rest and Desecrate Through Reverance. I love Avenged Sevenfold, their songs are all over four minutes. The drum work in all their songs is excellent. The guitar and lyrics rock. Great band.

On Thursday, I went to the optometrist for my yearly check up. I have the exact same prescription again. For the second year in a row. My vision isn’t getting any better, but it isn’t getting any worse, which is a good thing. I still have enough contacts left for two more months, so I didn’t have to stick around to fill a prescription while my sister was in having her eyes checked. So I went and wandered around the mall. It was lovely, but seeing as I had no money, it wasn’t as lovely as it could have been.

Today, I went to the mall. It was lovely, as I had some money. ^_^ I wandered around quite a bit, and bought some shit. I had some extra time to burn, so I went down to the place in the mall where they have a Barnes and Noble and an FYE, right next to each other. But today, I learned that they closed the Barnes and noble to put something *new* there. I was so pissed off! But I rarely actually buy anything from there, so it doesn’t really matter.

After the lovely trip to the mall, I went to this violin theory workshop that my teacher put on. She does these workshops every couple of months. Today we learned about composers and musical periods. Fun fun fun.

See you all tomorrow, I’m going to go put on some AFI and cry. ^_^

Today, while messing around on the internet, I found a wonderful little internet cartoon, Neurotically Yours. Go watch them all. They're quite funny.

I suggest watching 5 more minutes, Nuts to you, Foamy's Card Cult, Squirrel Banter, Small, medium, large, Dating Advice, Sitcom Silliness, Fat-kins diet and the kavorkian scarf. Those are the ones i suggest if you can't watch them all. If you can watch them all, please do so.

Just a warning though, Foamy cusses *alot*. So proceed with caution.
