   I live!

Oi... Well, it's been something of a long time since I've been here to post anything. Mer, uh, sorry about that as well. ^.^; College homework is becoming something of a bug lately *cough*arthistory*cough*

Interesting things are going on though. Currently, I'm awaiting my order from Adobe to ship out soon so I can get started with making more and more digital artwork (plus the addition of being able to do the work for some classes at home.)
I also have been recruited for something of a new job. The church I attend wants to have a photo directory of all their members created, and of course, they've gone to Olan Mills for the photo's and printing of the directories. But, being the only graphic designer in church, I've been volunteered to layout the design and look of the directory (which I don't mind really.) Only problem is, I can't use Adobe Indesign to make it, because Olan Mills uses QuarkXpress. *hits head against wall* So, I'm looking for a way to get around this little issue of ours, and not have to resort to the cutting and pasting method that most other churches use (Olan Mills sends a couple of sheets of paper with grids layed out on them, and then you're supposed to cut and paste where you want certain objects like type and photos to go... Yes, very annoying.) I wasn't too happy to read that they use QuarkXpress, since the program is now going downhill in the industry. *sighs* Ah well... As long as there's some sort of paycheck attached to the job.

Ah yes, as you might have noticed, my page is going through something of a change design wise. The blues were getting to me, but now that means I have to figure something out for the background. So, that might take a little while now (there are midterms next week, so I don't really have much time right now. ^.^; )

Until next time though...
