Greetings and Salutations.
It's been awhile, but I'm back. For those of you who don't know me, a discription: Roman Catholic, sinner, theologian, and bibliophile.
I must make a warning that my posts may change from how they normally have been. Past posts have been in a journal style and story posts. As my interests have increasingly turned towards moral theology and trying to figure out some things, my posts will relfect that, although at times I may return to my former style.
Oh, and I love anime and manga. That's the reason why I first came here. I've never talked about it much, so don't be surprised if you don't read many posts concerning my obsession with Folken de Fenal or Spike Spiegal.
"[...] he has a vague feeling like the shadow that saying of the great Christian philosophy, St. Thomas Aquinas, 'Every existence, as such, is good.' On the other hand, something else tells him that it is unmanly and debased and even diseased to minimise evil to a dot or even a blot. He realises that optimism is morbid. It is if possible even more morbid than pessimism. These vague but healthy feelings, if he followed them out, would result in the idea that evil is in some way an exception but an enormous exception; and ultimately that evil is an invasion or yet more truly a rebellion." - G. K. Chesterton, "The Everlasting Man"

deletion
Well, it seems that I have come to a conclusion of sorts: I shall be quasi-deleting this account. What does that mean? Well, all but one of the folks who I used to follow have ceased posting and I don't really up-date much myself. I am going to commence the quasi-deletion by going back to my first posts and deleting them, but keeping my account. Why? Because if I ever do start posting on a regular basis it probably won't be in a quasi-diary format and so I'm removing all my pseudo-diary entries from high school and undergrad.

gray day
I wish the weather would decide what it wants to do and stay that way. And as much as I usually love gray days, I'm tired of them being gray. Well, I wouldn't mind it so much if I didn't have all this school work left to do. Translations, lesson plans, and theological queries. Right now it's a perfect day to just curl up with the new book that came in. I've re-read the first chapter; once was to myself and then out loud. I think that I'll try to do that for the entire book. It's not that long, and it'll take longer to finish it, but it'll give me practice. It's a good book for reading out loud thus far. I don't know how it'll go later, but right now it's just right. Although the author's way of writing is different from my way of thinking (surprise, surprise) and it always is a jolt to be reading along and then realizing that the sentence is structured differently than expected and stumble through when the pace and clip was previously steady. Oh well.

MegaCon
It was awesome!! I got a lot of good pictures and got my picture taken several times. Much fun was had. Although the ones in charge of the anime costume contest had poor logistics skills. It's not that hard to form a line or to make sure a line is formed properly, and they managed to thoroughly botch it. I will never try to get in to see the contest again. It's not worth it. I also got some great some more "Sandman" to add to my collection XD

*coos*
I just ordered a new book. Hard cover. It'll be here next week XD I'm so excited! I actually don't intend to read 'til after the semester is over and done (or so I say now) but wanted to get it before it was sold out and then had to wait for the paperback. *trills* I am now much happier and more awake than I was a just a little bit ago and can now commence studying for that little bit more before eating supper instead of finding ways to procrastinate.

It should be considered a crime against humanity to have me translate the Psalms. I am butchering this.

long day
Tuesdays are long days for me, this one made even longer due to the woman who tried to run me off the road instead of paying attention to what she was doing (trying to merge into a lane whilst another car is right beside you is Not A Good Idea).
Prayers go out to one of my dorm mates whose grandfather passed away this past weekend, she's off to be with family tomorrow as soon as classes are done.
I have Hebrew to finish, two questions to write for theology, and then I can start on next week's homework. Thursday I'm off to MegaCon!!
And yesterday evening was a very good evening. I think I am starting to feel better and am getting back to me that I know and love instead of the one I was ashamed of and pitied.

*large grin* Well, I wouldn't say I was pre-occupied with my past, but life is but a dream after all.
I guess that means I get Setsuna.
*hmmm* I'll have to go through the series again to find that song.
