This week royally kicked my arse
In other words this past week threw me to the ground, kicked my ribs ‘til they cracked, left me bashed and bruised, cringing, covered with dirt, and before it left…spat on me for good measure. The one thing that kept me going was the knowledge that today I would be able to go to Adrianna’s and have a nice cup of coffee with Batman to moan, whine, and complain and then get cheered up listening about The Really Cute Girl from the bowling alley. *sarcastic “ha”* So much for that idea. No, instead my parents went out of town all day and I got to watch my sisters.
Actually, wasn’t that bad. It’s just that…well, I really wanted to go out for coffee. Got a 42 oz. Dr. Pepper instead. My sister was cool and got it for me.
Did household chores. *blargh*
Put up the window pane thought (two posts down), straightened my room, and I’m either going to revise a paper, finish a short story, or do some other sort of writing.
Yesterday was one of my multiple relation’s wedding and so I got to enjoy a delicious reception. Friday I went on saw OKLAHOMA at me old high school. Went with Batman, Peck, Peck’s Best Friend, the person who formally was going to be a Marine but has now joined the Air Force. I got to see B. E. and someone who I was really wasn’t expecting to be in the play but later found out he had the part because the person who was suppose to play the part got caught with Ecstacy in his possession. *shakes head* Idiot.
On the brighter side, I was able to redo the entire annotated bibliography and turn it in on Friday, no points removed. Failed my second Latin test (haven't gotten the grade back yet, but I know I did).
I suppose I could write more, but I really don’t have much else to say at the moment…

Ever so Not so Slightly Random Rantings
1) No, I will not tell anybody who I voted for for 'tis my right as an American citizen to keep my voting private. (That and all it ever seems to do is tick people off into a screaming match resulting in a more educated form of yelling "F$%^ You" at each other).
2) I'm getting to hate my computer/modem/internet provider because I can not download the information I need to complete my homework assignment. *argh*
4) My mom rocks because she got me salmon for lunch tomorrow! ^_^ *chi*
5) My rant about election day:
I had no idea that there were going to be three state amendments I was going to be voting on. I knew about two, but did not know about the third one. No one really told me about them. All people wanted to do was talk about the bleeding presidential candidates. Didn't want to inform us of the mini bottle amendment, the penny tax amendment, and the tax relief amendment for farmers. *hiss*
Never knew that there were people to be voted on for Soil and Agriculture and what not. Never heard of it before in my life. Had no idea what I was suppose to be voting on...neither did either of my parents who have been voting far longer than I have.
What is with the language used in the amendments and to explain them? They make no sense to the common man, I swear. I'm a bloody college student and had never heard of some of the words and couldn't make a lick of sense of the way they were put together.
Why does the coroner have a political affiliation? I mean, come on, why? Unless I'm wrong, doesn't the coroner proclaim the body dead? Why do we care what his affiliation is?
Another thing, getting upset about having your candidate lose and complain and go on and on about how we aren't "making the vote count" and then going "That's why I don't vote" really seems to undermine everything you just said. It's one thing to not be able to vote and complain about it, but it is another thing entire when you complain about it, have the capability to and yet do not vote. *argh*
6) C. S. Lewis rocks.
7) I have a window pane thought, no one else use it because it's the title for a piece of prose that I am working on.
8) I have an obsessive nature.
9) I am a sinner.
10) I really, really want/need to go out for coffee with Batman on Sunday and am going to be so happy when it happens 'cause I gotta unwind.
Going out for coffee with friends is the greatest thing in the world. Gotta love it.
Probably not going to do anything more than listen to him and work on my own writings. Stuff I've been needing to do for a while.
11) Going to submit to a magazine and see if I can be published.
12) My beloved "Heads and Tails" got into the political mix. However, it was forgivable because the heading was "What Happens When You Make a Comic Before the Results are In" and has a picture of Chuck waving a small American flag with signs saying "Nader Wins!" decorating the rest of the box. *quirky grin* So there you have it.

Day of the Dead / All Souls Day
And what a day to have elections. Thank goodness after today I don't have to hear about anymore bloody political ads. It's really been ticking me off lately. Picked up Friday's addition of THE GAMECOCK (the on-campus newspaper) and every flippin article was about politics. Thank goodness "Heads and Tails" wasn't doing anything like that (my fave comic strip).
Oh, need to cut this short now and go vote!

Poe rocks.
Needless to say I'm feeling a wee bit better now. Sorry that this isn't a major post or anything. Instead of writing I was annoying my friends with poetry.
"Odi et amo. Quare id faciam fortasse requiris.
Nescio, sed fieri sentio et excrucior." - Gaius Valerius Catullus
Good comic from Dark Horse Comics: The Last Temptation. By Neil Gaiman, of course. It's a comic that goes with Alice Cooper's album Lost In America. In short: it is awesomeness.
Um, thingamajig. Yes, Batman has a page here now! His name is ArmyWolf, but no posts up yet.
I'll try and come back again later so I can actually say something because my mind has just left me.

*migraine headache time*
I have some of the best friends in the world. Why, you ask, do I say this after such an inaspicious subject line? Because my friends help me go to sleep in a good mood although I still had to deal with the physical ramifications of being in a bad mood ten minutes before going to bed. That being, I wake up with a migraine the next morning.
Yes, y'all missed out on a vile, self-depricating, depressing post last night because my stupid home computer would not stop bloody freezing up. Not that y'all truly missed anything, just me being depressed and writing f*** out repeatedly.
On the brighter side of life: Batman and Homeboy rule. ... But I've already said that, okay something else.
Brian Froud (who helped work on the conceptual design of the goblins in LABYRINTH and the characters in THE DARK CRYSTAL and who has several faerie books out) is going to be at Happy Bookseller here in Columbia today signing his new book, GOBLINS, for anyone who is a Brian Froud fan who will be in the area. I, alas, shall be at work (yes!), so I bought my copy yesterday and left it there and the nice lady behind the register will make sure he signs it for me.
That's all for now, need to actually get ready for class and such, especially seeing as I'm going to be meeting with my scene partner this morning. Dollars to doughnuts I'll be back this afternoon at my usual time to respond to the comments and such. Cheers.

*euphoric*
Okay, so I haven't posted in forever and I really need to fill y'all in on what's been going on in my life.
In no particular order (so don't try to follow chronologically) here is my life sorta at the moment:
I MADE AN 86 ON MY LATIN QUIZ!!!! Right, that's the highest grade in the class I've made all year and it is making me extremely happy. I'm just glad that my studying is finally paying off...writing the chapter out three times every bloody day.
I made a B+ on my midterm in religion and passed (strictly pass or fail) on my journal assignment. We had to keep a journal for five weeks, which was, of course, easy for me to do. I have so much writing stuff...
I don't want to talk about how the Carolina game went.
Alright, gamecocks aren't dangerous? For one thing, gamecocks are not roosters. You can look at them and tell the difference. Ever heard of a "cock fight", they're illegal in most states now. The phrase came from the cocks fights people used to have where the gamecocks would rip each other to shreds. Not only do they have their own viscious, sharp spurs on their feet, but the trainers would also attatch metal spurs (or razor blades) to them. If you have ever seen a rooster spitting mad, multiply it by about ten. The ferocity these critters have in comparison to their size is astounding. If a gamecock and a tiger were put in a pen together and the tiger tried to kill/eat/whatever the gamecock, the tiger would have a bloody face by the end of it, and if it were lucky its eyes would not be plucked out. I guess you could say the gamecock motto could be: "Judge me by my size do you?"
Ah! That reminds me! I need to tell y'all all about seeing Star Commander this weekend! Well, she called on Sunday after I was home from church while I was waiting for a call back from Super Ego to see if she wanted to go to Adriana's with me. Well, I was all happy to be getting a call when S. C. (Star Commander) told me that she was in Columbia!! Talk about a total spaz right then and there. So she's at Dutch Square Mall and I have no way to get there unless Dad gives me a ride, but my sisters were home and they were going to go to the fair with my cousin as soon as he got there but he wasn't there yet. Follow so far? Good. So I waited for about an hour and then Dad was: "Okay, we're going anyway." I get to the mall and I walk to Waldenbooks (the only decent place where you can get manga in Columbia) and I walk in and the cashier says hello and wants to know if I need anything while I'm thinking "shhhhh, need to find S. C. and say hello!!" Turns out S. C. didn't hear me at all. *heh heh heh* I charge past her aunt and clobber her in this uber big gigantic hug that scares the bejeezez outta her! It was absolutely bloody brilliant mates! We hung out in the store a little longer, she picked up a CHRONO CRUSADE and TRIGUN manga and I got my third volumne of THE SANDMAN library and a collection of short stories written based off of THE SANDMAN which was edited by Neil Gaiman. Afterward we went and saw SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW.
If I were to ever have an affair it would be with Neil Gaiman.
I watched INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE on big screen at the campus theatre on Monday with the Bowie-ite. Tom Cruise is such an amazing Lestat, I had forgotten. That movie is only just about fifty times cooler on the big screen.
Oh! I have a job! Just doing piddly things really at a jewelry store down the street from my house, but it's a job. First day they forgot that I was there and nearly locked me in because I was being so quiet! *smile*
I actually talked to a stranger last week. He works at Adriana's and promised me a free cup of coffee. He was playing violin and I commented on the appearence of his instrument (very pretty) and we got to talking and I *beats 24 because he's a dirty minded bastard* .... *forgot what was saying* Anyways, so I actually made a new friend instead of staring shyly at somebody for an indeterminate amount of time.
I wore a newspaper hat to my English class on Tuesday.
Theatre was really good today. Spent about five minutes doing nothing but laughing, much to my enjoyment. *doink*
Window pane thought: (that actually isn't on my window pane because I've been too bleeding lazy to write it up)
"Logic is irrational."
-Nobody & the guy who sits next to me in logic class (can't think of a nickname for him at the moment)
Did anybody hear about the Red Sox? There were some pretty peeved Yankee fans in my theatre class this morning, and my logic teacher is probably feeling quite euphoric.
Yesterday I finished reading THE SANDMAN anthology. Dream is the greatest thing since sliced bread...but y'all already knew that.
What other randomness can I write about?
English teacher liked my first paper and I need to revise it now.
I've made up with the Baby Penguin. Very, very good. So that friendship is back on course now.
My room is absolutely filthy because I'm in the middle of washing all my clothes and so there are piles of dirty clothes piled all over the floor. In theory I'm going to finish and clean it all up on Saturday.
*makes random noises*
I need to hurry up and read the Qur'an. And I haven't been to dance in forever.
This Saturday is the Halloween party ID is throwing. Fun stuff! That's going to be fun. Something to look forward to this weekend. As well as trying to go to Adriana's and meeting with my scene partner.
Well, need to go now so that I can get to my English class on time.
Cheers!

*sleepy*
Well, I'm over her at Boy's at a fairly late time of the morning (eight thirty-six) because we're all gathering before we go pile up in the cars to go TAILGATING because the GAME is today and we're going to KICK THEIR ARSES!! Carolina vs Ole Miss and it's homecoming for us!
Boy's room mates are currently watching "Dora the Explorer" for which I scorn them.
Why am I sleepy at this late an hour? Because last night I was at the State Fair. Went with Epee, met up with Lupis Gurl, and Ghondi (no, not his real name). I had a lot of fun, and was able to get to bed at a halfway decent hour...but my mind hates my body and started going a mile a minute and would not let my body go to sleep 'til about two a.m.
We spent a lot of time in the Cantey Building looking at the paintings, drawings, and photographs. And then, the Food!
Food: (I ate something of everything with one exception) Elephant ear with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar, a honking big turkey leg, French fries with vinegar, some Pepsi, some ice cream, fried Oreos (no! I did not eat those, Epee was the only one to eat those, I absolutely refused...however, I did lick all the powdered sugar off them), a candy apple (which got all over my face), and strawberry lemonade.
Okay, the guys (Boy and 24) are pulling me away from the computer to play Frisbee in a vain attempt to wake me up. Cheers!
