back from Israel
So, I'm back from Israel and have a 10 page paper that I need to do on the trip that's due ASAP (translation: soon, but have no idea when). Right now I'm procrastinating and not getting any work done on any particular project. I broke down and joined facebook, which is making things easy to keep tabs on my family members, but other than that just serving as a further distraction. ;-P Not that I mind, I get more posts from Batman =^_^=

Okay, that's going to be all for now 'cause I really need to eat and I need to get some kind of work done before my ecumenical theology class.

   exam time
Oy. That pretty much sums it up. I'm about to fix something to eat and then commense more studying. I thought my fiance was going to come see me tonight, but apparently not ...
*sigh* Oh well. I did watch two episodes of Kaleido Star, so that was fun ^_^ And I did very well on my theology paper.

*on verge of head exploding*
Holy cow, there is so much to do and so little time to do it in! I'm with Neil Gaiman in thinking that time is stretchy, but it's being a really weird stretchy right now. Early in the week I tend to be fine, and then all of a sudden I get a back log of work and I can't seem to get out from under it! *sigh* Oh well. I will get everything done and I will do well in my classes! Even with the heavy work load (which is only heavy because I'm working part time as well as being a full time student), I'm really loving this semester. I am enjoying seminary life and the people here are very kind. Batman and I are also working on wedding plans, although they have taken to falling in the periphery now that classes are in full swing. Speaking of which: gotta run, got theology in a few moments.

   just reading through things
I'm up to 10 April of Neil's blog. And by sheer force of will I have stopped my reading so that I can actually eat lunch before I head off to work. It always makes me happy and somewhat sad to read his blogs. Happy: 'cause he's my favorite author. Sad: because I haven't gotten anywhere near the amount of writing done that I would like to get done. And then I think: *hmmm* I'll go on to MyO and read everyone's blogs there. Only to re-discover that most of the people whose blogs I became addicted to (no offense to those who I enjoy reading on occasion) are no longer posting. *sigh* And in two cases, the 'no new posts' has me worried that 'well, maybe they're not [i]here[/i] anymore.' Meaning, of course, not that they don't care enough to up-date, but that they have no physical vessel for their essences anymore. Saddening. I guess I'm in a rather contemplative mood right now. Either that or the fact that I've decided to revisit my suicide story (originally posted here ages ago) and realizing that it needs some tweeking so that readers know as much as I do, but still keeping my main character ignorant. It's a sad story and it puts me in a rather introverted, sad mood. As obvious about the way I keep repeating that word multiple time already in this rather short post *chuckles* But on the good note: I have a fresh-out-of-the-oven blueberry muffin waiting on me right now. So I'm going to go much it down.

   Happy Independence Day!
Well, it's been ages since I've been on, so let's do a really quick recap of what's been going on.

1st: Window Pane Thought!

2nd: Batman is off in WA working on becoming an officer. He's doing pretty well and wishes everyone a "hello." He'll be heading off to Seoul around the 11th.

3rd: I went on a pretty awesome road trip. The highlights were Mammoth Cave National Park (KY)and Sliding Rock (Pisgah National Forest, NC). Oh, and while in the Smoky Mountains, my sister and I were nearly struck by lightening while on top of a mountain. My sister freaked, but thought it was funny because I thought we were being bombed and was doing a duck and cover and trying to figure out who was shooting at us ~_~* I've seen way, [i]way[/i] too many war movies. Went down Sliding Rock three times and nearly froze to death, I did a fairly good impression of a corpse while in the car on the way to Boy's lake house.

4th: I'm another year older! Haven't really done anything for my birthday, but my family gave me this really delicious chocolate pie with whipped cream and oreo cookie crust that was positively scrumptious! And I got letters from Batman, a really cool Inigo Montoya shirt, and some DCFC cds are in route to my front door.

But the Most Important thing is:

I'M ENGAGED!!! Yes, Batman proposed on 6 June and we're looking at a year long engagement. I'm incredibly happy. My sister and a close friend of mine are going to be my Maids of Honor, and my other two sisters are going to be bride's maids. Still have to get in contact with the priest, but I'm not in too much of a rush. I just sit around and admire my ring =^_^=

Hope y'all are having as good a summer as I am (or better).

   headachy
Wearing a headband all day isn't always a good idea. Sometimes it gives me a terrible headache.

I graduated and all was well with the world (I made straight A's this final semester!).

Then I found out that Id is going to move back home and I was happy for her. But then I got to thinking and realized that the main reason why I was happy was because she wouldn't be going broke any longer and that she would be close to her boyfriend. I consider her a friend, but no longer a close friend. And that makes me a bit sad, but more than that is the realization that I'm not really sorry about it that makes me feel sad and guilty. We've grown apart, and that's the way of the world. Oh well.

But the big thing is the doctor's appointment I had yesterday. I have to wait for test results to come back and I'm either in the pink of health or I'm headed for trouble. I'll not go into specifics because I don't want to jinx anything. But it does have me worried. I've been feeling like I've had a gray cloud over my head all day. I cried some last night with Batman and we're just hoping for the best. I'm probably making it sound more traumatic than it actually is, but sometimes you're just more down than anything else. My doctor doesn't think it will be as bad as the worse case scenario, I have age on my side at the moment so I may be able to make it out without even needing medication if I do have a problem. We'll see.

Rest of Exams
So, I made an 81 on one exam and a B+ on another ^_^ Both grades are better than I expected. (I can't remember what my grade was for the other exam, either an A or B). I now have to work on doing all of my papers 'cause I didn't get any of that work done over the break. But I believe I can do it and be on top of things. Although procrastinating really needs to stop. Okay, now to bed.

   first exam
So, my first exam was today. I didn't get a good quality of sleep last night *grr* but I think I did pretty well on it anyway. I'm upset about a book excerpt because I think the main character does stuff with someone who will eventually betray her and a character I loathe. *sigh* But I've gotten to spend time with Batman ^_^ So everything's all well and good. I should probably write a longer post, but I need to head off.

*hmmm*
I need to check and see if I ever put up the window pane thought. I don't think I did. Oh well, I'll worry about that for later tonight. Now is a quick write up before heading into work.

Nothing much is going on. I have come to terms -- for the most part -- with the fact that I no longer consider someone my friend. I have lost trust and faith, that means I could not honestly consider her my friend. The saddest part now seems that I must also bid ado to the friends we have in common, because I seem to be in a "bad guy" role. *sigh* Oh well.

School is going well and work is passing much faster now that I don't have to be there all the time. I've been okayed for a religion project which involves two of my favorite things: Neil Gaiman and manga. *wheee* I'll probably be doing a presentation instead of a paper since I have other papers for other classes.

Happy Late Chinese New Year everyone! This is the year of the rat, all hail Prince Yuki!

Okay, my tea is ready and I still have to get dressed for work.
