Sympathy for the Devil
Originally done by The Rolling Stones, it has since been remade multiple times. I also like the Guns N Roses version which can be heard when Lestat changes from the tape player to the radio at the end of INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (starring Christian Slater, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Antonio Bandares, Stephen Rea, and Kirsten Dunce).
Sympathy For The Devil
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)
Yo!..... Yo!...... Yo!
Woo Good!....
Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith
And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game
I stuck around at St. Petersburg
When I saw it was a-time for a change
Killed the czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain
I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, ah yeah
(whoo whoo, whoo whoo)
I watched with glee
While your kings and queens (whoo whoo)
Fought for ten decades (whoo whoo)
For the gods they made (whoo whoo)
I shouted out, (whoo whoo)
"Who killed the Kennedys?" (whoo whoo)
When after all (whoo whoo)
It was you and me (whoo whoo)
Let me please introduce myself (whoo whoo)
I'm a man of wealth and taste (whoo whoo)
And I laid traps for troubadours (whoo whoo)
Who get killed before they reached Bombay (whoo whoo, whoo whoo)
Pleased to meet you (whoo whoo)
Hope you guessed my name, (whoo whoo) oh yeah (whoo whoo)
But what's puzzling you (whoo whoo)
Is the nature of my game(whoo whoo), oh yeah, get down, baby (whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo, whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo) ..........
Pleased to meet you (whoo whoo)
Hope you guessed my name, (whoo whoo) oh yeah (whoo whoo)
But what's confusing you (whoo whoo)
Is just the nature of my game (whoo whoo) um yeah (whoo whoo)
Just as every cop is a criminal (whoo whoo)
And all the sinners saints (whoo whoo)
As heads is tails (whoo whoo)
Just call me Lucifer (whoo whoo)
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint (whoo whoo)
So if you meet me (whoo whoo)
Have some courtesy (whoo whoo)
Have some sympathy, (whoo whoo) and some taste (whoo whoo)
Use all your well-learned politesse (whoo whoo)
Or I'll lay your(whoo whoo) soul to waste,(whoo whoo), um yeah (whoo whoo)
Pleased to meet you (whoo whoo)
Hope you guessed my name, (whoo whoo) um yeah (whoo, whoo)
But what's puzzling you (whoo whoo)
Is the nature of my game, (whoo whoo) um mean it, (whoo whoo) get down
(whoo whoo) (whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo) (whoo whoo)
Woo, who (whoo whoo)
Oh yeah, get on down (whoo whoo)
Oh yeah (whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo, whoo whoo)
(whoo whoo, whoo whoo)........
Oh yeah! (whoo, whoo)
Tell me baby,(whoo whoo) what's my name(whoo whoo)
Tell me honey,(whoo whoo) can ya guess my name (whoo whoo)
Tell me baby, (whoo whoo) what's my name (whoo whoo)
I tell you one time, (whoo whoo) you're to blame (whoo whoo)
Woo Who (whoo whoo)
Woo Who (whoo whoo)
Woo (whoo whoo) alright (whoo whoo)
Oh, who who, oh, who who, (whoo whoo) oh, who who
Oh Yeah (whoo whoo)
Woo, who who (whoo whoo) Woo, who who (whoo whoo)
Ah yeah, a-what's my name (whoo whoo)
Tell me, baby, (whoo whoo) what's my name (whoo whoo)
Tell me, sweetie, (whoo whoo) what's my name (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Oh, who, who (whoo whoo)
Woo, who, who (whoo whoo)
Ah, yeah!
Whoo whoo
Woo Who Who

what the heck? I had a post yesterday that isn't here anymore!
*Aaaaaaargh!*
I took the time to type out my entire weekend, and the post was not updated! *hiss*
Here we go again.
Friday: Had gotten COWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE KNOCKIN' ON HEAVEN'S DOOR the day before and watched it during orchestra class. Long live Spike!
Lupis Gurl's piano recital. She was very good. She wore her prom dress and looked absolutely lovely and glowing.
After the recital went with Lupis to Sakura's, a delicious lightly sushi restaurant. Terriaki salmon is absolutely divine.
Got back home and worked on inventations to graduation until after midnight. Got terribly stressed and upset, and it didn't help that my sister was having her birthday party and her friends were sleeping over and would not go to sleep!
Wrote to God (in my journal, I find that easier for the long prayers than simply thinking in my head) and begged for help, felt much more calm afterwards.
Saturday: got up at seven to go babysit. Checked my e-mail...I got an e-mail from Guitar! After about two months of initially writing him! It was very nice and he offered his prayers to whatever troubles that I'm in the middle of. *ha!*
Watched four hours of cartoons while at work (at a nursery). Gotta love DIGIMON.
Lupis's b-day party! We went and saw VAN HELSING, good movie. CGI was obvious and had a Disney-esq ending, but I enjoyed. Then we went back to her house, her parents made dinner (hamburger and/or grilled chicken) and was very tasty. We watched KILL BILL VOL. 1 (kicked butt, need to figure out how to watch the second one) and BEDAZZLED. I stayed the night.
Sunday: went home, went to Mass.
Worked on inventations some more.
Gave Mom her Mother's Day present (lavender prim roses) and went to my grandmother's with my dad and siblings.
Spent the rest of the day hanging out with the family and working on an essay for English.
Final exams start tomorrow. That would be my math and Latin exams. My English exam is due on Thursday (and my ROTC exam) which consists of three essays and three projects. A year's worth of work, and has my little procrastinating self started? Nooooo.
Have a physics test next block that I didn't study for. Oh well. I Think I know the material.
Only nine days left until graduation! *whoo-hoo*

clear, neon green, Nalgene water bottle with blue lid
*heh heh heh* Today is the Field Meet for my ROTC class! Whoo-hoo!
This means that I get to miss two classes, id est, three hours of school to play outside in the wonderful sunshine! :) *doink*
Fifteen days 'til graduation (ten in the morning at Carolina Colisium if anyone finds themselves Columbia ways), only twelve days of school left. This week I basically miss two days of school (today for Field Meet and Friday for Senior Day). Next week is exams, and after I'm done with the exams I don't have to go back to class! *happy dance* So all I have to do is write some essays for my English class and do three projects, no problem. *psyked*
Awesomeness! Magistra just gave me a copy of HOW TO GET A DATE WITH A VAMPIRE! Looks hilarious, and I could use some pointers anyway. So, as soon as I'm done with this, off to read this really interesting little book.
Have fun today peoples! Summer is right around the corner! ^__^

*does manic spaz happy dance*
*muyahahahahahahaha* Finally was able to get a picture up! And look! It's Folken! *Folken, Folken, Folken, Folken, Folken (ect. repeats for duration of typing until fading into silence)*
You know that:
^God has a major since of humor when an obsessive friend just "happens" to find your webpage (see 'the plaid one' on left)
^you are major obsessed when every guy with messy hair reminds you of the guy you really like and have been day dreaming about for the past month who lives in Minnesota
^no one else has any faith anymore because they keep telling you that you can't marry Lord Folken (see uber cool picture) or that you're insane because you think you will
Window Pane Thought for the Month:
Just a thought:
As long as you are alive, there is always a chance for things to get better. - Nobody
It was Lupis Gurl's birthday yesterday! Everyone go wish her many happy returns!
The Plaid Avenger whom I have talked about has managed to find this site and now has his own page, everyone feel free to torment him and get him off his sorry depressed buttocks. *rolls eyes* He needs some cheering up...bloody cynic.
I finally managed to get a picture uploaded! *Folken, Folken, Folken, Folken...*
I had a really awesome time at the 3rd Annual Aiken Scottish Country Dance and Games. We did several sets. It rained some. I discovered the tastiness that is potatoes baked over a peat grill. I also discovered the wonder that is Whirlygig. A Celtic band that plays traditional style music and has some really awesome songs on the self-entitled CD that I have. "The Way Young Lovers Do" is one I keep listening to over and over, eventually I'll have the lyrics memorized. Oooh, here's a quote from the song Liam wrote (just because I get a kick outta it), can't remember the title at the moment:
"You were dancing a polka you leaped like a fish
Strident not graceful, a whirling dervish
But that only made me want you more"
Fun stuff!
*FOLKEN!!! Folken, Folken, Folken, Folken*
My sister now has a copy of Billy Boyd singing, which I'm going to record onto my tape of special stuff (i.e.: Folken whistling, his last words, and "Real Folk Blues")
Hmmm, I guess that's enough for the moment. Talk to y'all later.
Cheers!
*Folken, Folken, Folken, Folken...*

*melancholy*
Whenever people start talking about money, I get terribly depressed. I've yet to see money bring out the good of anyone. People look down on those without it, showing how absolutely blind they are. Yeah, just got out of econ class.
Then I go read the up-dated post on Death Knight, doesn't make me feel any better. Bad enough my being cynical and misanthropic during econ to see someone feeling just as down and pessimistic later.
*sigh*
Activism versus liberalism. I have to write a paper on that due yesterday (quite literally) so I need to do that this weekend.
Yet, Death Knight has a point. In today's world it is very hard to find people who won't just offer words and pity. Both are those are crap. With my social circles I'm lucky enough to be able to get in touch with people who take action and don't just offer words.
*muyah* Class is fixin to start and I need to eat lunch. So I'll complete this thought later if I get around to it.
*sigh*

fishnet pantyhose and shower thoughts
So today is picture day for orchestra and have to wear all black (which I was going to save to go all freaky and scare people the last week of school, oh well...I'll make it happen anyway) and am wearing my uber cool fishnet hose. Getting lots of random complements and "those are cool." Yes, fishnets are fun and enjoyable.
While taking a shower the other day:
In today's world the word "homophobe" means one who is afraid of homosexuals.
However, the word "homo" in Greek means "same", thus, a "homophobe" should be a person afraid of someone else the same as them or of their same gender, not someone who is afraid of someone with a sexual orientation towards own gender.
In Latin, "homo" means "man". So, if one was to use the term "homophobe" with the Latin word as base, it would be one who is afraid of mankind, thus being of a like mind to misanthopists than anyone else.
So that was the bizarro thought. My weirdest thoughts almost always happen in the shower for some reason...maybe because I don't milk cows *shrug*.
Ooooh, yes. *heh...heh...heh* I've forgotten to post the window pane thought for the month. I've had it on my window for three weeks now and still haven't posted it. *feels like half-eaten jelly doughnut* So, there's that as well.
Window pane thought for April:
Just a thought:
There are many Beautiful people if we just allow our eyes to see.
- Nobody
Yeah, Nobody would be yours truly by-the-by. Need to start thinking of a quote for May. Need to figure out how to get the picuter thingy to work, I keep giving it a GIF file and then it tells me that it needs a GIF file, so I'm like: "*aaaargh!* It is a stupid GIF file! Work for Pete's sake! *mmmmaggghhhhc!*"

*skizit*
Due to intense personal problems involving me going temporary insane do not expect any good posts in a decent amount of time, and if there are posts they are most likely going to be random.
I'm spoiling for a fight right now because of stress that does not involve school has been placed upon my slim shoulders. I do not like mean and rude people who act that way towards people they don't even know.
My life is fixin' to be screwed over by someone I know and have talked about for a fourth time. This weekend was the third. I'm figuring sometime in the near future I'll either be screwed over for the fourth time, or everything will finally be out on the table and I shall collect on my Royal Flush. *heh heh heh* Be prepared all you evil people.
I finally finished the second sketch of a four series piece of work. It took three days and me bashing my head against the wall and almost killing myself emotionally as well as mentally. I'm going to scan and send it to my entire buddy list tonight (hopefully). So be prepared writerashley, because you're also going to get a low down on my current situation.
Going to go eat lunch now.

Hmmm, all my HTML stuff is gone too...
But that's neither here nor there (although I want my Century Gothic and seagreen back!)
Right now I have a request to make of any and all COWBOY BEBOP fanatics:
Does anyone have access to a place where I can find all of Ed's lines?
If you do, that'd be great if you could tell me where I could find them! I have a new plan that I would like to implement on a paranoid, misanthropic friend of mine. *heh heh heh*
Cheers.

Artist: Relient K
Album: Two Lefts Don't Make A Right...But Three Do
Song: In Love With The 80's (Pink Tux To The Prom)
So it was jeremy in 1983,
In his ocean pacific t,
Who got a bloody knee,
On his skateboard,
In the halfpipe,
In the backyard,
That tuesday night.
And I'm only gonna pierce my left ear,
And I've been working on this mustache all summer long,
And my favorite band will always be tears for fears,
And I'm gonna to wear a pink tux to the prom, a pink tux to the prom.
Cuttin class through the next four window,
He's drivin fast cause he never did a thing slow,
And I look up to my big bro cuz in the eighties all the ladies grabbed his
hands and couldn't let go.
And I'm only gonna pierce my left ear,
And I've been working on this mustache all summer long,
And my favorite band will always be tears for fears,
And I'm gonna to wear a pink tux to the prom, a pink tux to the prom.
Do, do, do-do, do, do, Pink tux to the prom, [x2]
I am going to wear, a pink tux to the prom,
Live without a care, what can possibly go wrong.
When you're the president of the breakfast club,
And you're not hesitant to fall in love,
To fall in love with the eighties, to throw it away,
To fall in love with the eighties.
I am going to wear, a pink tux to the prom,
Live without a care, what can possibly go wrong,
I am going to wear a pink tux to the prom,
Live without a care cause you threw it away to fall in love, with the eighties..
Do, do, do-do, do, do [x2]
Yeah, had to put it all in pink seeing as that was in the chorus. Relient K is awesome. Yet another obsession for me to worry about. Tah. My obsessive behavior...don't worry I'm not too terribly crazy.
Goal for the day:
Watch "Jupiter Jazz Pt. 2" of COWBOY BEBOP
