After New Years
We haven't done any philosophy yet! Three days of philosophy class and no philosophy! But I did have two days studying Kepler's Law. *twitch* *grr*

I'm currently at Batman's using his computer 'cause ours doesn't want to load up properly anymore.

I do not believe in ignoring the physical aspect of life. I believe that a life should include both the physical and the mental. The body is just as important as the mind. All I've learned is that in ignoring the body one only gains problems in the mind.

Thus it begins again
A new semester is starting this Monday. Huzzah! A new philosophy class to thoroughly enjoy. Modern philosophy, so I get to enjoy studying Descartes again. I'm not all in to reading the stuff from Hume but hopefully this class will be just as good as my last two.

In other news: I spent less than $200 on books!! ^_^ *huzzah!*

Atrocious Acts of Bugger
That actually has nothing what-so-ever to do with this actual post.

To apologize means to defend something or someone. If you think about it, with the exception of saying "sorry" ("sorry" means "feelings of sympathy, pity, or regret") what someone does when they apologize to another is defend themselves. "I didn't mean to do it" or "It was not my intent" or "You see what happened was ...". It's just funny, in an odd way. When people talk like that and others accept their apology what they're really doing is accepting their defense. Not one time does a person truly need to show honest regret or remorse.

Finally Finished Finals!
Huzzah! This semester is officially over! Now I get to work my hands to the bone so I can get money to pay for next semester -_-*

Anyway, I don't have much time but let me reiterate the fact that I think Camus is awesome. I really need to get my own copy of The Myth of Sisyphus so I can re-read his stuff and put it permenately in my mind. The Absurd Hero is an interesting character. I think one day I may try to write a story about him. Who knows. Off to work!

Exams!! O.O
Yep! It's that time of the year again. I got my exams before me. German and history today, and English and logic in the coming days. (No philosophy because my professor loves us). Going to drink tea and study. Camus is awesome. I think I'm going to write my optional philosophy paper on Descartes, though. 'Til next time ...

Ai-yi-yi
It's been awhile. Been kinda busy lately. I'm officially a philosophy major now (took the time to actually inform the university of my intent *heh*), interviewed a couple of friends about the meaning of life, writ two papers (one English et one history), had Thanksgiving, read some books, enjoyed the company of Batman (to my complete and utter delight), and -- of course -- work. Well, got to sleep ... long day tomorrow. I'll be writing more this week, I hope. 'Til next time ...

'Allo There
Five more philosophy classes and then the semester is over. *sigh* We're looking at Nietzsche at the moment. We watched a bit of Fight Club today and applied it to some of his theories that we're studying in Twilight of the Idols. I don't think he was an idiot or crazy (until clinically proven) but I don't think he's right. Of course, this is coming from teh opinion that there -is- a Universal Truth and a belief in souls and morality and what-have-you. I'm a bit sleepy at the moment so I won't really go into his critique on morality. Take too much thought and energy. 'Til next time.

myspace craze
For my German homework tomorrow I need to have created a myspace page. Bloody bells and raizors!! It doesn't help that my bloody internet connection keeps screwing up either. I think I'm going to try again in the morning. After tomorrow, I'm going to delete the bloody site. *grrrr* Now, I'm going to head for bed so I can think about the man I love (code name: Batman).

All Soul's Day
Yesterday was All Saint's Day (and a Holy Day of Obligation for all us Catholics). Mass was pretty good. Also had that philosophy paper due. I wish I had written a better paper because I had so much more that I wanted to say. But considering that it had a 3-4 page limit and I kinda went to 5 already I had to let it go. The ontological argument by Descartes and the teleological argument by Aquinas nearly drove me up the wall. Infinity is a strange thing.

The day before yesterday was the Eve of All Saints / Samhain / All Hallow's Eve / Halloween. I didn't got trick-or-treating as I had a paper to type. However, I was dressed up like Draven from The Crow all day and I scared the kids who came to get candy (not on purpose, but apparently seeing a white head coming out of a dark room with black eyes and black lips is a freaky thing).

Currently getting information about Robert Burns.

Mind and body
The Mind / Body problem is an interesting thing. I would like to look into it further. Basically: if there is spiritual and material, how does the spiritual effect the material? Very watered down about what it is. Today is Id's Halloween Party and I'll be headed to that with Bowie-ite and Batman <3 after work today. Haven't really done much for my paper. Although I have studied for my Asian history exam. Things to do things to do. Discussing the existance of God ... need to do that this weekend so I can get a good grade on the paper. Not to worry about not having a book for German nor worry about English readings and exam on Thursday. Paper, paper, paper.
