"I do believe in faeries! I do! I do!"
Yeah, so I just saw PETER PAN for the first time last night. So I've been singing that chant ever since.
Okay, it's been awhile. What've I been up to?
July 4th weekend I was up in North Carolina in Pisgah National Forest backpacking. It rained everyday and made it impossible to get up a good bed of coals for roasted vegetables. However, we did have the parafin stove so Dad was able to fix his ultra tasty homemade beef stew. We found a new ice cream place too, since the old one was turned into a TCBY *blech*
I've started cleaning my room, so now it is a complete mess. Things scattered every which a ways from cleaning my shelves. I've actually thrown some things away. As soon as it's clean, time for rearranging. Going to move the dresser from under my bed and put in my great grandfather's art board so I can draw without having my shadow in the way. Put in some new bookshelves, maybe give away my traveler's trunk.
The 18th anniversary of LABYRINTH came and went without too much fuss. Batman and the Bowie-ite came over after my family left (showing them my Greece scrapbook) and we watched MUSIC FROM ANOTHER ROOM. Fun stuff.
We have a new pool in the backyard, haven't swam in it yet but the rest of the family (sans Daddy) have and enjoyed it. Probably will get in sometime this week.
Finished reading THE SHELTERING SKY, a good read. Nearly drove me crazy come the end, but I got through it. Wrote some more, finished a sketch. Nothing anime, just a copy of a picture I had lying around of my best friend on the whole planet.
Next week: Fencing! *whee* (none this week for nationals in Charlotte) The plan: I've been called predicatable, so I'm going to negate that illusion.
What else has happened? Our computer sorta went cablooey and we just got it fixed yesterday (after fiddling with it for three or two days.) I am now sure that our computer itself is a virus because it is fine until you try to put a virus protector on and then it goes on the fritz and refuses to work.
That's all for now. Until next time, whenever that is.
