   *hee hee hee*
We won't go into the reasons why my day started wonderful and ended wonderful. The halo is held up by my horns.

At work I find myself realizing the impermanence of life a lot. I also think about materialism. It's hard not to with the amount of free time I wind up having and the inability to do other than sit and think. I'm not so sure if I would think about it as much if I was at just a run-of-the-mill retail store, but I'm in an upper end jewelery store. Don't get me wrong, owning jewelery isn't bad ... but there are some other things to be done with the amount of money some people spend (like going on a cruise or taking an expensive vacation at a five star hotel). Women come in all the time complaining how hard it is to get something for their husbands. I want to hit them over the head with a cataloge or something. Guys don't want jewelery. Yes, there are some pieces that they like, but other than that there are much better places to go spend a lot of money for them. I'm pretty sure each of their husbands has an interest that would allow them to spend money on. Maybe they like cars, maybe they like carpentry, maybe they like sailing. All I know is: other than a watch and a pair of cufflinks, my hypothetical husband probably doesn't want me going in a jewelery store to buy him a present. Oh well. Enough thinking about that.

'Til next time ...

I love you Batman @}--',--
