Last Day of School
Currently I'm on Hadrian so I can't comment on anybody's posts, but as soon as the chic next to me is off Antinovus I'll get on him and add some comments. Or go off to some other classroom.
Yeah, Magistra (that's "female teacher" in Latin, and consiquently my Latin teacher) has named her computers. I shan't explain why those two names. Maybe some other time.
So anyway, I'm at school for eight hours to take one exam that I've already taken today. Whatever. No more physics for me. ^_^ *chi!*
I've read some awesome posts and I want to comment but I can't and it is annoying me because I want to talk to you guys on a more one on one level per statement instead of general to everybody who visits me. *tah*
So, how did my weekend go? Here is a brief over view:
Friday: sleep over at youth leaders house for the girls. About forty girls said they wanted to come and the youth leader is "that's cool, as many can come come. Just let me know if you aren't able to make it so I don't have too much food." I get there late, there are definately only four other girls their plus the other three female youth leaders. And enough spagetti for about forty people. No body called to cancel. Our youth group has gone down the tubes this year, mostly because we weren't able to go on our usual beach retreat. *sigh* So we watched UPTOWN GIRLS and enjoyed it and they enjoyed my comments. I talk through movies or to the characters. We then watched the deleted scenes, *great googily-moogily*, those scenes where Trash! Heavens! So much crap, ruined the movie for us. Swore we'd never watch them again. *Gaaaaa* Then we talked (actually we talked through the whole slumber party sans when actually asleep) and watched some "While You Were Gone." Ah, I'm going to make a request at the end of this post.
Saturday: went to sleep at 1:37am. Woke up at six from the sunlight through the windows and went back to bed. At seven I got up and got dressed and went down to breakfast which my youth leader was cooking. Had four delicious pancakes with orange juice. After breakfast she took me to work (last day is May 29th)and I got to watch little kiddies for four hours. *sigh* During this time I watched: POWER RANGERS, DIGIMON, SPIDERMAN, and GARGOYLES. I love cartoons (not PR so much, but the kids like it and it keeps them quite and it's an excuse to keep it on the channel so I can see the exploits of Takuya and the others). During this time I also got a migraine. At twelve I changed into my dance clothes and went to the Fair Grounds to do some dancing in benefit of the Children's Hospital. I did two dances, felt nauseated, and didn't eat any BBQ because I felt that I would throw it back up. My sisters then went to church because they were serving at a wedding and I went home to change, yet again. Picked up my bathing suit and went over to Col.'s for the senior BBQ. There were only two other people there, and I didn't go swimming because the food was almost ready. I had taken an Excedrin at home so my migraine was gone and I was able to enjoy so BBQ spare ribs that are as good as my dad's! *large grin* We talked a lot, Col. has the most adorable grandchildren, found out my Plt Cmdr from freshman year is in town and that I might get to see him on graduation!!!!! *happy dance* Was picked up at five (got there around one thirty), stopped by Target with Dad and then went home. I was soooo exhausted at this point that it was amazing that I could speak coherently. My mom and littlest sister were back from the GS camping trip and lounging around the house. I just tried to stay awake. Did some surfing on the internet and watched "In the Shadows" by The Rasmus (awesome song, go listen to it). Mom woke up and told me that Boy called and that I needed to call him back and I then promptly forgot. At seven thirty when I was sitting down to eat my dad's homemade chicken noodle soup I remembered to call him. So I called and chatted for a bit, he needed to get out of the house, so I told him to come on over (don't forget, I'm about to pass out from exhaustion). So he comes over and we talk on the porch some, find out he's never gone backpacking and promise to tie him in a gunnysack and take him with me the next time I go to Pisgah or something. Go inside and start talking. Mom wants to watch a movie, so we ask Boy what he'd like to watch, come to find out he had never Ever seen as single INDIANA JONES movie. I freak. A bunch. So we pop in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and I all but fall asleep on the couch and make the wonderful comment at the end of the movie, when the ark first starts glowing before the spirits come out, "Ha-ham *weird noise mixture of thought and funniness*. It's just like the refrigerator from GHOSTBUSTERS." Which of course, ruined the whole awe. After the movie Boy left feeling much better since he was able to get away and I went to bed thinking it was one in the morning and having my eyes bug out when I realized it was only eleven thirty-seven. I say my prayers and go to bed.
Sunday: Sleep in until ten. Go to noon Mass a little late and spend the day cleaning. Went to the youth group BBQ and lounged on the park bench wishing there was a public bathroom with an unlocked door (what's the point of a public bathroom when you keep the doors locked and won't let anybody use them!?) I watch MASTER AND COMMANDER (Paul Bettany! Billy Boyd!) and work on Magistra's in the of the year gift. One of my cousin's came over for a bit and his girlfriend. Had homemade beefstew (Dad is the best cook in the world). Wrapped Col.'s Harley Mug and Master Chief's copy of MASTER AND COMMANDER (the book is just as good as the movie, better of course) and my former math teacher's tie (he's the sponser for the Distinctive Tie Club at my school). Am nowhere near completeing Magistra's gift, just hope that it's done before June 7th.
So that was my weekend. Basically, just a really long Saturday.
Prayer Request: a friend of mine from youth group, Eric (yes, that is his real name), has a very malignant form of soft tissue cancer. The doctors say that his situation is very grim and does not look good at all. He is going to be doing 45 Weeks of kemo soon. So, for all of you who pray, could you say one for Eric? For all you who don't, but believe in something, could you wish on a star? For those of you who don't believe in anything, just hope. Please.
Well, that's all for the time being. Hopefully I'll be able to leave some comments later today.
