In My Grave
A poem I made up about two months ago or so. I found it last night in my documents and posted it somewhere else, and then today LiquidSilver put up one of her poems, so I figured, why not?

I smiled, to cover up the pain.
I laughed, to hide away my tears.
I wanted you to know the real me,
My strength, my weakness, my fears.

Though my outer shell was cheerful and bright,
You didn’t know that I cried each night,
I tried to wish the world away.
I’d lie in bed, and I’d scream and I’d pray.

Deep inside I was confused and scared,
Wondering if anyone truly cared.
No one seemed to worry about me,
So I wished to die, and be set free.

I decided to go,
When I should’ve stayed.
Now I lie in my grave,
And I cry and I pray.
