Merry Christmas!
Merry Chrismahannakwanzakuh everyone!

Last night, I had to sing in my church's Christmas Candlelight Service. I had to sing a duet with my friend Rachel, and three other songs in a group of 6. It was entirely nerve-wracking, but our church's choir director was so impressed he asked Rachel, me, and a few other girls to sing in the Easter choir with the adults. 0_0; Of course everyone is going to say "Oh you did such a good job!" even if you sucked, but our choir director is really picky and hard to please, so umm... yeah. o.o;

This morning started out uber-crappy. Everyone was in a terrible mood, mainly because my mom was yelling at everyone because she wants everything to be perfect. So I freaked out on her because she put me in charge of the camcorder and then everything I did was wrong (according to her) so I turned it off and walked out. Came back a few minutes later and she told me to stop listening to 'satan music' because I was playing the new My Chemical Romance CD overnight. Then I was all "Huh? I dunno what was playing overnight, I just fell asleep as soon I hit laid down. Maybe I accidentally turned on the radio instead of a CD." She bought it, so I was off the hook. xD

Then everything calmed down and we opened presents. The only kool things I got were POTC 2, Memoirs of a Geisha, and a cute pair of Vans (I picked them out a few weeks ago and tried them on so my mom knew what to buy) I got a couple other things like an art set (which, outside of the nice wooden case, sucks) a calendar, and the game Fact or Crap. We played the game after we opened presents and I lost wicked bad. xD

Then we drove to my grandparent's house, where I am now, and ate dinner and opened more presents. I didn't get the iPod Shuffle I'd ask for- Grandma said she'd been looking for weeks and couldnt find any because they were always out of stock. But she got me a different mp3 player, which I guess is kool because it holds more songs and the battery lasts longer, and its still pretty tiny. The package says it can store other files too for transport too, like photos and presentations, which might be handy because I have to burn powerpoint presentations onto a CD every week for church because I run the projector that has the weekly announcements and stuff. So, so far so good I guess.

I wish Christmas was more fulfilling though... I remember how Christmas used to be so exciting, and I would count down the days and the hours, and it didn't matter what I got because I was so easily pleased. Now it's like the only point of Christmas is getting a week off from school. The presents aren't exciting because every time I open a present I feel like "I saw a better one at the mall" or "I already have one that's nicer than this." I hate it, it's like, I want to be happy and appreciative, but I just can't, and I don't know why. I mean, I'm not unhappy... I'm just not feeling the Christmas spirit.
