Hey...
Just a little past eleven tonight but I'm feeling unusually tired. Himura on his front is sporting a cold and current situations and relationships between myself and teachers at school have been distrustful.
Not surprisingly this week has been tiring due to recent events. Only highlight (if you can call it that) was a Halloween dress-up day at school last Thursday. The entire sword class that goes to my highschool wore their uniforms and entered a contest in an attempt to win a free yearbook.
Lately an increased effort has been put forth in order to bring up my physical fitness. I've recently did an inventory check on the number of push-ups and sit-ups I can do and my results were way below my minimums. This can be potentially dangerous once I enter phys ed next semester.
Naturally, due to my tiredness I have this strange habit of pushing myself even more during a lack of energy. I plan on waking in the morning when the mist is still around and practice with my sword alone. Hopefully if Danny is feeling better and my weekend is unbooked I will be calling the sword buddies over for some sparring.

I'm back
Hey...
My computer is suffering and was suffering since my last post of some spyware that got into my computer. I've just now recently gotten some anti-spyware stuff to block the ads but my browser still crashes at certain sites.
I'm up in Orlando right now riding out Hurricane Jeanne. Taking the chance to check my site and was surprised to see all the links still work with the exception of the Kenshin Animation.
I most likely won't be updating again for a long time.

Back
- 6:53pm est time
I'm back from the last dives. This time we were only able to catch a small one. My father poked it out of the nest and it shot away about 15 feet. I swam after it. That was a really interesting chase considering that I could only swim 5 mphs and the lobster could swim short bursts with it's tail at 60 mph each shot.
The tail fired twice and then it stopped. I caught up with it and somehow managed to ctach it with a hand net. Must've been divine intervention that helped me.
Anyways, here's the interesting part of this trip. I was gearing up on the beach ready to walk off and then a man stopped me. He asked us if we were the guys in the newspaper from yesterday.
It turns out that the nice lady with the big camera from yesterday who wanted some pictures of us worked for the paper and used those pics for the article about the lobster season. I'll try and get that shot up here.
Never would've expected myself on the front page of sports section. Maybe imaginable somewhere else but not the sports section...
Oh yeah we borrowed someone else's lobster (really big) and took pictures of it to fool my mom, sister and relatives coming down this week.

I appear to have slept in today. My father and his friend left without me to get the tanks refilled and woke me when they returned to load up the car.
I'm not sure of what we are about to do and when we're leaving the house. I was only briefed for our first two dives the first day.
I hope there are lobsters till left.

Back from first two dives
- 11:26pm est time
We got to the dive site at 6:30 am and walked off the beach into the water at 7:00am. The dive boats out for lobster season covered the horizon abd there were many others out there as well.
During the first dive there were not many lobsters out and visibility was poor. Sea uchins seemed to have overpopulated the area and I accidentally rammed the palm of my hand into one while reaching to the sand floor for support. That hurt.
Eventually (still on the first dive, first three tanks) we spot 5 lobsters in a small crevice. My father used a tickle stick (fancy name for a long pokey stick) and pestered the lobsters out of there while my dad's friend caught them.
Three got away but we caught two. They looked really big underwater (but things look 25% bigger underwater).
Eventually after running out of air we surfaced, and landed to measure the lobbies. It turned out that they looked 25% smaller above water and were under the legal minimum to keep and eat.
They looked like large crawfish or, as my father's friend skillfully gestured in one of the pictures we took, they were about the size of a large man's genitals....
...I dun think we kept that picture.
During the second dive I took up a quater of my air but had to surface ahead of time due to the cold down there. My father and his friend continued on.
We eventually got home at around 4:30 in the afternoon with three hours to spare before sword class.
Departure time tomorrow is 9:00am. We need to refill our tanks at the dive shop.
I'm tired now. Three hours of sleep, two one-hour dives, scuba equipment and a sword class.
Time for sleep.

Gearing up
- 4:51am est time
I wasn't able to sleep until 1:00am this morning. Sleep hasn't been coming easily to me lately. It turns out that I had my times screwed up; I had to wake at 4:00am, not leave the house.
So now we are making last preperations and checks with me 30 mins ahead of schedule. It feels like I will still be able to dive well regardless of trhe loss of sleep. I just hope I will have strength enough for the third and fourth dives tomorrow.
It's now 4:53am and my father wants to be able to leave early. We've never been able to do that with me sleeping in all the time. Me waking early has been a rare advantage to us, saving us from very possibly being late, and maybe getting to the dive site before the other divers.
Time to go, I'll keep you posted.

Lobsters
9:21 pm, est time
- Have to wake at at least 4:00am tomorrow. I dive at first light. Lobster season opens tomorrow for two days. My father and I plan to catch some (I'm not getting my hopes up).
We will be diving with a friend of my father's. There will be six air tanks altogether to use giving each of us two tanks each.
The time that each tank gives us varies with the depth at which we're diving. It's estimated we'll be at average 30-60 feet, 300 yards from shore. I'm guessing I'll get an hour out of each tank.
Now the lobsters we're trying to catch aren't the ones with large claws like the ones you usually see (those types are from Maine) The lobbies we're aiming for are Florida lobsters (We live in Florida if you haven't guessed).
These lobbies don't have large claws but only a lot of spines. If you grab it and their tail starts working they can bolt away at about 60 mph. If your hand is connected to it at that time you can get a spine up your hand, That's the main thing I'm worried about. (we have gloves but it only gives us the feeling of security. The type of gloves we have won't do much.
I'll try and post again this morning.

hm...
I just had a very unusual conversation with Himura about three days ago...maybe it was just unusual because it was intelligent.
I'm gonna have to think about what was said that day to say anymore about it...
