Mangas at the Library!
My public library just got a bunch of manga titles! Yay! I cleared the shelf (literally) of everything I hadn't read yet. This is so great. Now I don't have to spend ten dollars or hang out in the bookstore all day long to read all the manga I want. Happy! And of course I'll recommend some titles to the library, like Ayashi No Ceres and Fushigi Yugi!
Thay just put the mangas in the young adult section, but there were some of them, like Ranma 1/2, with naked girls in them. Un-otaku just wouldn't understand. Manga should get a section of it's own, no? Ok, later!

Well...
One good thing about these stupid braces is that for a 'braces present' my mom, sister, and I went to Suncoast, and I got two mangas, Ceres Celestial Legend (Ayashi No Ceres) #2 and Fushigi Yuugi #8. I know both of these are kinda old, but I loved Fushigi Yuugi #8, and #2 is one of the few Ceres books I do not own or read already. And my sister got Alice 19 #1 just for no reason, and we always share our manga, so yay! Three Yuu Watase mangas. She's my favorite mangaka. I've never read Alice 19 (or is it 19th?) so I can't wait for later today when my sister is done.
My teeth hurt. And I mean REALLY hurt. I can't eat anything that's not really soft. At least I'm losing the weight I wanted to. I was on one of my mom's exercise machines before I stopped to write a post on myotaku.com! My mom also went to this health food store after we went to Suncoast, and there's always free samples there. There were these delicious chicken burritos, but I couldn't much. I bit into one and practically screamed OW! right in the store. I was able to scoop the fillings up with a spoon, and they were fairly soft so I was able to gum that. The tortilla I couldn't have. My mom liked it so much she bought all the ingrediants and we're having that for dinner. It was good, but it hurts to eat it! I got this Thai noodle bowl thing. It's just Thai noodles with onions and scallions and it looked pretty soft on the box. Hopefully it will taste good; I'll find out in an hour or so.
Ok, later!

The Academy Awards
The Lord of the Rings is a good movie, don't get me wrong. But it certainly did not deserve best picture at all! That honour should have gone to Mystic River, my personal fave. There is no justice in Hollywood. At least Sean Penn won for best actor; he definantly deserved that, and Tim Robbins won best supporting actor, both from Mystic River. Yay! My friend was like, 'Sean Penn is ugly, I can't believe he won best actor! Johnny Depp should have won, man he's HOT!' Nonononono, it doesn't work that way, Allie. Penn outshined Depp by A LOT, and acting doesn't depend soley on looks. Penn, keep up the good work! Charlize Theron won best actress for Monster, and I never saw that, but I heard she was spectacular. Maybe I'll rent Monster when it comes on video.
Back to something I wanted to adress. The Lord of the Rings won everything it was nominated for. Huh. The only things I agreed with were best director and best costumes. And maybe best orginal score. I tell ya, Hollywood likes these big, epic movies like this, and even if there are much better movies *cough**cough* Mystic River *cough* the epics seem to take the awards. Huh.
On a different note, I got my braces two hours ago. Man, do they feel weird! It feels like my lips are puffing out, and the sharpness is ripping into my gums. Ow. The orthodontist says this goes away in a week, but I don't know... And of course my lousy family orders pizza tonight, and I can't eat any, but I sure can smell it! Smells good.
What sucks is that Solo and Emsemble is this Saturday, and I don't know if I can play my clarinet well enough to get a good grade! Solo and Ensemble is this once a year thing wher I live, where you play a solo or duet or trio or whatever on any instrument, and some judges grade you. I'm doing a solo on my clarinet... hope the braces don't screw me up. Ok, later!

Just So You Know....
Yeah, this isn't a real post, I just felt like writing something. I just want to say that if you are visiting my site and you see your name under my 'friends' list, don't get all creeped out. I click on 'random member' a lot, or look at the newest updaters on the 'member list' thing, and randomly add people as friends, even if they haven't come to myotaku.com since a year ago or so. I hardly know most of the people there! I just want a HUGE list, so don't get creeped out or anything. Like I said earlier, this is a pointless post ^_^ Ok, later!

Laura Joh Rowland
For those of you who have an interest in Japanese history and culture, I've got a treat for you! There is a series of mystery books by the great Laura Joh Rowland that take place in the ancient Japanese capital of Edo in the seventeenth century. Not only are these stories historically acurate and filled with Japanese culture, the characters are well-thought out and entertaining, the stories are great, and they are good books over all. I recommend them to all. But there is a lot of sex and violence, so if you are too young, wait a few years please. Look in your libraries adult mystery section, and please check the first one, which is called Shinju, out. Ok, later!

Please, please, please write comments to this message telling me what to do. I'm kinda new at this, so no fire saying, "Damn, are you stupid!" or anything like that. Thank you in advance! Ok, later!

Gay Marriages II
I just wanted to add to my previous comment that I think it is unbelievable that President Bush wants a constitutional ban on gay marriages. And this man is supposed to represent America.
The Constitution gives rights to people, and is not supposed to take them away. The only other amendment that took something away was prohibition, and we all know how well that turned out.
Kerry, Edwards, Dean, I don't care. Just beat Bush.

Gay Marriages
This subjet has been debated and on the news a lot, so now its being talked about on my site^_^ I am not gay, but I STRONGLY believe gay people have the right to be married. My friend Lilicat worded it perfectly, so the following essay I didn't write, but I agree with everything stated in it:
It shouldn't matter and this is a supposedly free country. This Country was created from the ideas of freedom to practice whatever religion, beliefe and/or lifestyle without being oppressed by the goverment or the majority. We become a country obsessed with controling everything around us. We are so obsessed with controling things that even our own livelyhoods are being questioned.
This arguement goes beyond the obvious homosexuality, it questions our freedoms and rights as an US citizen, it questions the kind of a goverment are we running. And it also displays to the rest of the world about how petty our issues are. Other countries face the issues of failing economies and poor food distribution issues and here we are, the proud Americans arguing over gay marriage rights. Not like we don't need another reason for other counties to despise us.
It doesnt affect me in any way... Gay marriages shouldn't have to be a big deal. Congress and the media is blowing it out of proportion. The only people who seem to care are the handful of old, wealthy people who have one foot in the grave. They seem to have this urge to use the remaining years of their lives to make the younger generations [our future leaders] miserable. Since we are the ones who will have to deal with the aftermath from the decisions which have been made by the old dudes today.
Besides, what difference does it make? Love is love, no matter who displays it. To deny someone of love, would be denying them God.

It's...so... COLD!!!
My house doesn't have any heat because our heater is broken. It is 15 degrees outside. I am freezing my ass off, and i hate it! I'm moving to California or something when I'm older. Probably California because I'm going to be a movie producer when I'm older. Anyway, right now, it's not so bad, but in the mornings when I wake at 5 am, it is the coldest I've ever been in my life. Imagine getting dressed and getting ready for school. Shiver. Good thing it's getting fixed in a few days. Ok, later!

Don't Get Me Wrong, But....
Hey, sometimes I get a signed guestbook from people I don't know, and they ask me to add them as a friend. I love it! You all are so nice. What bugs me though is how you found out about me. I have no fanart submitted, and are hardly active anywhere except my site here. But please don't stop! I want a huge list of friends and people who add me as a friend real badly ^_^ Maybe they find me out on 'random member' or something. I don't care, but please add me as a friend if you wish, and ask me to add you if you want. Ok, later!
