Chapter 7 in the story!
Chapter 7:
The Prophet walked into the tent and looked at both of them. He said, "I hope you two are good friends, because you are going to be meeting each other alot from now on. In fact, you are prohibited to communicate with anyone else but me. You may talk amongs each other, but people of your age do not need to know the things i showed you. That would only make there life worse. You are going to start training today, and you will not stop training until this bloodshed war is over. You will need to not only learn, but master, all 6 arts. We will start with the one we think you are suited for; ShapeShifting. We know that you are afraid of seeing those you love hurt, but we need to convince you to not fear that." Aki and Suki looked worried at him, as the Prophet pulled out his stave. It was not glowing green today, and as if he had read their minds he said, "Yesterday, to show you what i showed you, I needed power from the other world. Today, however, I do not need that. I am simply going to cast a fire breather spell on one of you." Suki and Aki were both worried at what he ment by this, as he spoke, the tent got warmer. Suddenly, Suki burst into flame. Both Aki and Suki started to scream, and before they knew it, the man had put her out with a water spell. "WHY DID YOU DO THAT!!??" Aki yelled at the Prophet. "She could have died, and you are just sitting there, calmly! This isnt one of your fairy worlds that you were talking about, this is real!!!" The Prophet smiled, "Heh, Real? What do you know about real?" Aki stood up, and walked over to Suki. He put his arms around her, to console her. "Look at what you did! She cant stop crying!" Aki felt bad for Suki, but relieved that it was not him who was caught on fire. The Prophet remained calm and said, "Douht Sel'Kreg Shalocus" Suki and Aki looked up at him, mesmerized by what he was chanting. His voice was smooth, and relaxing. It became less gruff, and once he had stopped, Suki and Aki had both forgotten about the pain they had felt. Then the Prophet spoke again, in his same gruff voice, "This was part of your training, and Aki you have failed. You are too attached to Suki, and this will cost you your life someday. Suki, as for you, I cannot say whether our not you passed, because your fear of fire is natural. We fear that in which we do not control, and fire is one of those things." As he crouched to be at eye level with the two seven year olds, he said "You two will learn healing spells first, seeing how i know you have mastered ShapeShifting. Healing is seen as an Acumenest spell, as they can make you feel better faster. However, all trainers of the Arts teach there pupils this talent, as it is useful when in pain. The trick is to not feel any attachment for that in which you are healing. Do not heal those out of pity, but rather those in need of it. Now watch." He picked up his staff. He pointed it at Aki, who jumped back a little. "Do not fear that which you can not contol, rather find a way to control it." He then used the Tragic Blight on Aki, who fell over to the ground. This evil spell takes the amount of love you have and clogs your heart with it. Aki grabbed his chest, and started to roll around. Suki freaked out, not knowing what was going on. The Prophet told her, "Just repeat the healing chant, and he will live. Dont, and he dies a painful death of agony." Suki was scared, and she knew what she had to do. She imagined Aki as the Prophet, so she would have no emotional attachment to him. She then repeated "Douht Sel'Kreg Shalocus" She noticed Aki in a little less pain, but not much. "You have to mean it! Really mean it!" The Prophet said. "Douht Sel'Kreg Shalocus! Douht Sel'Kreg Shalocus!" She shouted, but little happened. The Prophet saw Aki's eyes roll to the back of his head, at which point he said, "Sucolash!" Aki suddenly stood up, feeling good as new. The Prophet said, "I did not know how strong your love for Suki was, forgive me for that mistake. It will not happen again." Aki blushed, as Suki did the same. The Prophet stood up, looking winded, and walked out of the tent.
