Kill Bill Mania!
As you can see, I've redone the skin on this page yet again...a slightly Kill Bill theme this time. Although, I haven't really decided what image to put in my Introduction; I don't like the current one. I might fiddle around with that and redo it at some point. But not now...I just want to relax now.
I notice that the black strip of ink in my backgrounds is also causing problems with the black links in quizzes. I'm not too worried about this though. Eventually, myOtaku users will be able to change everything on their page -- from the background colours on the menu and behind the avatar, to the colour of links and so on. Everything will be fully customisable. Adam and I are really looking forward to that; I'm sure the members will love it.
I'm also in the process of working on a "myOtaku Lite" header -- one that does not interfere with user-created backgrounds. This way, myOtaku sites will all be a lot more individual...and people will be able to really do what they like with them.
On the subject of Kill Bill, I can only say what I said in my post at OtakuBoards -- the movie is very cool, particularly the visual aspect. Sound and visuals are great, though the story is pretty flat and boring. But eh. When you're watching it, you don't really think about the story too much (at least, that was my experience). It's just so visually great that you don't notice at all.
This led me to a discussion with Shy about it. We are thinking of starting up a Kill Bill-esque RPG at OtakuBoards. We have to come up with a unique plot though...I'm sure we can do it. It'll be an interesting experiment. I have some ideas for unique presentation and such, too. Might be fun.
Really though, there isn't too much else to say in this update. Things have been moving along pretty steadily in general. School has been the same as ever, though the due date for the final projects draws nearer. It's scary, because these are very tough projects. But once they're out of the way...I'm going to feel so relieved! I'll finally be able to forget school and just focus entirely on OtakuBoards and other projects online. It'll be nice to have that time to really commit myself to something.
That's all for this update, I guess. Maybe something juicy will happen before the next update, so that I won't bore everyone too much. ~_^
