Tired
Ugh, this week has been so draining. And it's really my own fault.
On Monday I ended up being awake very late; wasn't tired at all. I pretty much had zero sleep that night. And on Tuesday morning I attended a tour of the Australian Centre for the Moving Image as part of my school group. That was okay; I didn't notice my tiredness much at that point, as it was a really interesting tour. And the whole thing only lasted three hours, so I had no classes that day.
I had a great night's sleep on Tuesday and was fine Wednesday. But what do I do? I stay up way too late again Wednesday and sleepy in too much Thursday.
So now it's Friday morning and I've got about three hours 'till I have to be awake for school. lol
Generally, I do tend to be a night owl...but it's actually rare that I punish myself like this. I'm not quite sure why I am having so much trouble just settling down into a normal sleeping pattern.
In any case, it's not too bad. It is Friday afterall. Just one day. But one painful day, thanks to my own stupidity.
Does this ever happen to you? Even when you're busy, you still end up somehow getting relatively little sleep -- even when you could probably fit the hours in?
Part of my problem is the way I operate in terms of working on things. For example, I might be extremely tired once I get home from classes. But I'll sit there and I'll continue working on something. I work a lot better at home than I do at school and as a result, I tend to start something and work for hours until it's completed (or very close to completion).
This often means that I do the bulk of my work in the evening or very early in the morning.
So you see, this compounds on my tiredness in the day. No matter how tired I am, I find it incredibly difficult to stop working on certain things -- especially if I feel I am making progress.
Oh well. Provided that my Internet holds up, I'm planning to just stick it out and stay awake for now.
The Internet thing is really bizarre. On Wednesday night I was just sitting here and using the Internet normally...and everything shut down -- there was apparently no info moving back and forth between modem and ISP or whatever.
Funny thing is, it worked today for a few hours. Then stopped working. It would then work if I'd disconnect and reconnect a few times. And only a couple of hours earlier, it wasn't working at all. Now it does.
o_O
I'm presuming there is no issue with my wireless USB thingies...they're all okay. I can connect to the modem, but the modem has had problem with transfers. I'm hoping that it's just a temporary thing. Cross your fingers for me, won't you?
