Authorial Worries
How many authors we have in the house?
Okay, that was a pretty bad question, especially to ask over the internet.
I'm just a little worried. I'm afraid I might be losing readers of my story series, and I don't know what could be causing this, let alone if I am losing readers.
I did have quite a large number of readers for my story series original version, but this new one seems to have lost many of the old readers.
I think people expected my re-write to be very similar to the original version. It's actually the other way around.
With the original notes I took before I began writing, the re-write is actualy the most accurate version of the story. The original version I uploaded on ff.net followed my original notes for two chapters, and then rocketed away in a tangent.
I had a friend say that my writing has been becoming angsty. That's something I really think isn't happening, but my writing could be interpreted that way.
I've been in a pretty pessimistic mindset since Christmas, whih is pretty normal.
Usually I get happier as the months progress, finally reaching a peak in early June with my writing in full swing.
Strange.
I am still worried though as to what exactly is causing readers to trun away from my series.
