once again i'm misunderstood.
i stated the evcils of soda and chocolate as to show the dangers of something that is not only legal, but is allowed and even marketed to children.
hell, i down coke [the cola] like its air, i know i'm destroying myself, but its my body. and i know the consequences, i live with them, if i couldn't thats what re-hab is for.
saying that we have to p[rotect people from themselves because we know the consequences and they don't is like socialism, who am i to tell others what to do with their bodies? if you don'tknow the consequences, well then i guess you didn't read the label. because if they were legal they'd have ingredientr list and surgeon general's warnings.
and no pregnant mothers shouldn't use drugs, because their not just affecting their bodies, they're affecting the babies. a pregnant woman doing drugs is like holding down a child and O.D. ing them, and that ain't cool.
its a messy issue, but it pisses my off that the "truth" has always been the widely accepted idea, but now the "truth" is discrimintion, persecution and hatred.
Smokers get treated like crap, why, because decidede they wanted different chemicals to make them happy, so we hate them, we make them huddle together, or completly kick them out. we show comercials that make them all out to be weak minded fools who get dooped into smoking, becaudse they don't know its bad.
ya know, i don't smoke, but i toy withg the idea of buying a pack a day and then just giving them out, ya know, supporting the industry. i don't think i will, but its a nice concept.
i don't know whats right, i just know that this is wrong. to decide whats okay and not okay to put into your body, no one else should be able to tell me what i can put in my body.
fast food, we all know it'll kill us too, Morgan spurlock told us what we already knew, it will kill you, yet most of the resturaunts have meals for children, so we can kill people slowly since they're old enough to enjoy crappy toys. no one ever slaps big macs out of fat peoples hands saying "that will kill you." TRUTH isn't out there with some kid going "my dad died from eating Arby's, i still haven't met his replacement."
actually i love that commercial, TRUTH ran off on the fact that tobacco looks for "replacement smokers" so they have some little tool, i mean kid that says "my daddy was killed by lung cancer from smoking, i still haven't met his replacement."
Replacement, this kid was so shallow and cold hearted that some guy off the streets could replace her dad. thats the message i got.
and no murder is not okay! its not your body, its somebody elses, suicide on the other hand is okay, as long as you don't injure some else in the process, no exploding, no de-railing trains, crashing planes or hitting someone when you jump out of a sky scraper.
how you could get murder is okay from my plan of people being able to control what goes i and out of their bodies is beyond me.
i guess i don't speak clearly enough, for which is sorry, but right now our jails are so full of non-violent drug users that we're running out of room for rapist and murderers.
even if thats not true, the money and man power we spend keeping people from doing things we don't like to their bodies, if we directed all our cops that are fighting "the war on drugs" and directed them to the war on TERROR that we may be able to catch the guys with shoe bombs and inspect more than 5% of the cargo coming into the country, we waste so much time legislating morality.
if we want to control what people do with their bodies, what if they outlawed all sex except between married people hat is meant to create babies.
no one night stands
no sex for homosexuals
no masturbation
no casual sex with your BF/GF
no casual sex with your spouse
just baby making sex, because big brother knows whats best for your body.
how would that make you feel?
