Is that seriously how it ends?!
God, i watched all of Elfen lied, boy is the ending lame, i mean i was lovin it up until i heard the last line of the last episode, and i thought "that ending seriously made no fuckin sense!"
okay, brief summary of everything i now disliked about Elfen Lied.
First, i still feel bad for Nana, i understand it sucks to be tortured at that institute, but does that mean you have to torture poor Nana? if you don't want to go back, rip off her head like usual. that scene still pissed me off.
i feel bad for Lucy's puppy. okay, being a girl who acts like an adult and has horns would tend to cause your childish peers to tease you. also the fact that adorable naked female Dosu's keep telling you that killing people feels good, and is all you were meant to do. so Lucy keeps running away from orphanages, and escaping from one she finds a puppy, who becomes her only friend. as she is being bullied by a bunch of kids a girl helps her out and becomes her second friend, but it turns out this girl was a spy, and after Lucy shows her her puppy, the girl brings it to the bullies who tell Lucy to beg for its life, when she refuses they punt the dog into a wall and beat it to death slowly with a flower vase. that is when Lucy first finds her vectors, and she kills all them.
okay, i had to watch Nana be slowly tortured because she loved her "papa," but these callous pricks who would murder a puppy, i miss their deaths. i'm sorry, but i wanted to see sadism on Lucy's part there, i wanted to see those pricks suffer. but this is the one time it wasn't violent enough.
So Lucy, running from the murder scene meets a young Kouta, and they become friends, yet even while they are playing the evil little Dosu's keep telling her to kill, yet she plays around with a falls in love with Kouta. and when he has to leave to meet his Cousin, she asks what gender it is, and he lies and says male. he lies for no apparent reason! she said she would go, you can't shelter her, if he did it because he knew lucy's feelings, how would she feel if she knew he lied?
well she catches captain idiot with his cousin, so she goes nuts and lets the evil Dosu's take over, saying "goodbye Kouta, i loved you..." then she kills a bunch of random people, even ones that tried to help her because they thought she was just a scared little girl.
so she follows Kouta onto his train, and tears his sister in half infront of his face, as his sisterm having seen it was Lucy who killed those people, desperatly pleades with him to run away, he says "i hate people like you!" and with that Lucy tears Kouta's sister in half.
Why the hell do that, he obviously chose Lucy over his sister, she then kills Koutas dad, when he asks why Kouta is screaming.
Kouta screams "why did you do that!? i thought we were friends!?"
lucy replies with a sadistic smile "We ARE friends, thats why you are still alive, now where's that other girl?"
i realize the only other friend who lied to her made her puppy get brutally murdered, but damn!
and seeing all this as Kouta;s memory returned, it was repressed because well, it kinda should be. it would have stayed that way if Lucy didn't have to kill dozens of soldiers on the bridge to protect him. she says once she's done she'll explain everything.
so she admits everything, and that she lived all this time, enduring the painful tests, the mental tirture, being hunted and hated, just so she could apologize and tell him she was, and is in love with him. and Kouta says "well you killed them all, so i will never forgive you. but Nyuu [Lucy's Chii like alter ego] and that little girl with horns, i loved them.
so with that Lucy open mouth kisses Kouta, and once she releases him, he returns the favor. Lucy then tells Nana to "go back and live a calm, peaceful, happy life with you're friends, have everything i never did." then Lucy goes off and seemling gets shot to death by the rest of the soldiers on the bridge. but at the end we see a lucy shaped silohette, he looks away and back and screen blacks out before we see if she's there.
Mariko is such a bad ass, dhe kills the only person who loved her because they weren't actually related. yet her actual father, who never once talked to her, she melts in the arms of. even though 1, horned people are supposed to mature faster, like lucy, and 2, are willing to kill their own parents. Mariko was by far the most fucked up, but was so easy to kill, her dad just picks her up, and has both of them blown up together.
plus Bando, my favorite character, fights Lucy off-screen, and loses badly, but she hurts him less this time, and then she leaves and we never hear from him again. WTF!!!!!!?
Why can't that resercher bath or change her undies?
if the director guy wants to make the whole world horned guys like him, why does he kill so many horned children? or use them like pawns, and waste them?
and how can half the babies be born be horned if only pure breeds can actually have fertile children, and we kill all the horned ones anyway? i mean lucy and wierd director guy make it sound inevitable, but if we just kill the creepy babies, and develope gene theropy for the horned virus [hence why the arms are called vectors, they change your DNA] then we can keep going.
i hope this is close to the last i talk about this series, it really disapointed me. and it made me wait 7 hours to hate it.

Mayu: Yoiu said if i were in trouble, i just had to call you and you'd save me.
Bando: [shocked] HUH?! [throws Mayu down on her face] Never talk to me again...
i'll miss that guy...
