No More Cinderella!
Yesterday was my last day on the Cinderella Rule! For those of you who dont know, the way driving licenses work here in Newfoundland, is that during your first year of "driving by yourself" you have a curfew - 12:00, hence the name "Cinderella Rule". This only lasts for one year. Then you can stay out as lonnnnnnnnnng as you want! Anyways! I've had my license for one year so NO MORE CINDERELLA FOE ME ^^

Peace Train
Peace Train (Cat Stevens)
Now I've been happy lately, thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be, something good has begun
Oh I've been smiling lately, dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be, some day it's going to come
Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again
Now I've been smiling lately, thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be, something good has begun
Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller
Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on now peace train
Get your bags together, go bring your good friends too
Cause it's getting nearer, it soon will be with you
Now come and join the living, it's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer, soon it will all be true
Now I've been crying lately, thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating, why can't we live in bliss
Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again
I love Cat Stevens (aka Yusuf Islam ) - he has such a nice voice, so easy to listen to! Today was a busy day for me.. I had a yearbook meeting after school and it was almost two hours long!!! We were tallying up the nominations for mock awards! I got nominated for "Most Likely to be Successful" and "Most talkative".. everyone still has to vote yet!! Ugh.. I bet that will be another two hours of counting!

This weekend flew by..
I just finished watching some Harry Potter. The quote "It is not our abilities that define who we are, but rather our choices" is in that movie, and I think it is quite awesome as it helps to put a lot of things into perspective.
I had a pretty good day today! Spent most of it shopping with friends... and I managed to spend most of last week's cheque. :) Ah well, whats the point of working if you cant enjoy your money?

Everybody needs a lazy day every now and then!
Well! I'm having a great weekend so far.. school was cut short by the snow yesterday - we got out around 11:30, and then when I got home I got a call telling me I didnt have to come into work! :) *does happy dance*. I had a few people over and we just talked and made plans to go to Jungle Jim's (a restaruant) for supper tonight. Ok. Funny story. We're going out to supper to celebrate a couple of birthdays and there are about 20 of us going, so we felt it was necessary to make a reservation! I called and the guy taking the reservation was definately hitting on me. It was hillarious. When he asked me my name, I told him, and he said "Hmmm.. I think I know who I'm talking to".. and I said "Yes, well i guess you will find out tomorrow night".. anyways.. back to the funny part. tonight when we get there, one of my MALE friends is going to pretend to be me if he asks.
Sometimes I worry that I'm too easily amused...
Peace Out!!! - J

How I love acting..
Did I ever mention how much I love acting?? Probably not, since this is only my third post. Annnyyyways I love acting. Im part of a drama group at school and we are doing this play "among friends and clutter" and one of my parts is this crazy poet.. and i love it. Its one of those parts where it is more than ok tojust lose all inhibitions and really let loose and be crazy. Maybe thats why I love it so much.

English Class, Yet again!
Not much has changed since my last update.. Im in English class AGAIN.. and again im not doing my work.. lazy me.. im going singing today.. in St. Johns.. for those of you who dont know, (and thats more than likely most of you), ST. John's is like the New York of Newfoundland. If you want to go shopping you go to "town" (that is, St Johns) if you have a doctors appointment, you go to "town".. and if you want to sing you must also go to town. Its actually a singing competition and we will be competing against some pretty good schools. I hope we do good, because if we dont, the "townies" will laugh at us baymen (the term used to refer to those newfoundlanders currently not living in st johns.. townies tend to have low opinions of baymen.. but my goal in life is to change that :D) anyways.. im signing off!
