not too much going on today. spent awhile oer at my grandmas house. mom needed to do some sewing and wanted to use her sewing machine. that not being one of my favorite activities to watch, i played with the dog. hes a 3 yr old lhasa apso named rowdy. (picture isnt him, but he looks a lot like that) i offered to take him for a walk, and that was fun. spent the rest of the time playing with him. its so cute, whenever you sit down, he immediately comes over and puts his paws on your lap, wanting to be petted. hes the sweetest little dog and hes a lot of company for my grandma.

my coin-rolling project has come to fruition. my coins, just what i had in my room, totaled up to $94.00. thats been gathering for about 4 years. my dads coins (which have been collecting in the pantry for almost 9 years) added up to $204.04. seeing as i did all the work, i got 1/3 of the money, so that adds $68 to my pile. a tidy little sum for a couple days of effort. i know its ridiculous to let stuff gather for that long, but geez it pays off nicely. so now we both have empty containers and can start all over again. ill do this again in a few years. (as a practical matter, not greed. the college kid is looking for possible sources of cash to help fund academics.)

still chipping away at the artists block. perhaps my short coin-occupied hiatus will have reduced it a bit. had tkd last night, twas much fun. my roommate has showed up for the summer as well now, so theres at least 2 of us of the same rank (were the lowest in the class by about 3 belts) so we help each other. its entertaining.

the pitfalls of democracy. anarchy anyone?

of car doors and coins
happy belated mothers day if anyone on here is a mother. had the usual family luncheon thing. got my mom a couple floatie things for the lake. i got her a mushy card to make up for the lack of thoughtfulness. but she needed a new floatie, the last one broke.

we finally took the hard top off of my jeep. oh the joy. its been sooo nice recently. so we got the hard top off, and then for the heck of it, took the doors off too. and then we went and got ice cream ^^ it was fun. i dont like not having my rearview mirrors, as they remain attatched to the doors, but it was fun anyway.

ive taken on the great project of rolling the loose change lying around. ive done most of mine, sans pennies and that added up to $80. and im going to do my dads and i get a cut of it. were talking around 10 lbs (~5 kg) of coins.

so whee, productive day for inu. still working on art. ive hit a very selective artists block, and am chipping away at it.

urgh...
first off, allow me to make it very clear that i am fully aware that most of the world gets up before 7 in the morning everyday. however, i do not, thus i am not pleased when i am required to. (do NOT comment to tell me what unholy hour you regularly get up or tell me to stop whining. im not whining, im stating an annoyance.) have to be at school (30 minutes away) by 8am today. so i need to leave here around 7:20, so i get up around 6:50. its not the getting up early that really annoys me, its the fact that its saturday and i have to go play at graduation. outside. in arkansas summer. while required to wear long pants. if you dont live in arkansas or at least the south, you cant possibly understand the implications.(i know those of you in other countries could very well have it hotter; just humor me) yes, early may is summer here. we have 2 seasons: summer and not-summer (aka dry and wet). not-summer(wet) lasts from november to march(april for the thunderstorms), then its summer again. spring and fall last for 48hrs each. and summer here is brutal even if youre used to it. 100+ temps june-september, and 85+ the rest of the time. soooo, id rather not be outside in that unless im at the lake.

this is my complaining post or something. next subject: art. ever have an idea that looks so amazingly wonderful in your head, but you feel as if youre beating your head against a brick wall trying to draw it? fighting one of those right now. have one version sketched out, leaving it until later when ill see if it still looks terrible.

ok, im done complaining now. kudos if you made it this far without wanting to throw something sharp at me. you get a cookie. *hands out fresh-baked cookies* yes,i bake cookies. what? i havent quite set the oven on fire. *shifty eyes* yet. um....im going to go find the clothes i need to wear tomorrow. i wont be capable of coherant thought for a little bit. inus not a morning person. i prefer night to dawn.

quote of the day:
"Things are only impossible until they're not." -Jean-Luc Picard, 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'

yes, im a trekkie, and picard is awesome. huzzah.

p.s. *important if youre liana, meaningless if youre not*

my mom randomly decided that i could stay the night at your house assuming i was home by 11 sunday. also, not making a definate promise, but id hope you could expect to hear from me tomorrow between 12 and 1(likely closer to 1) we can hope for a quick ceremony. geez ive been hanging around you too long; im putting this here because im too lazy to go write an email. hope you see this before we talk tomorrow.

updates
i posted a new pic in case you are not one of the 2 people who commented on it already. (thanks to you two)

also, liana and i have started posting our 18th(?) story on fanfiction. that in addition to one of our (semi) monthly holiday stories series. inus birthday, violence abounds. (i was venting exam stress, if that explains)

not much for today. nothing going on. put in six more job applications, havent heard back. um...thats it i guess. exciting times, i know.

im on a roll
yet again, i have put a new pic up. amazing what being done with school does for your creativity. i did an image of inu, so therefore i had to do one of liana. so thats up now, including the link to the bigger DA version, as always. kindly leave me some worthwhile comments.

pounding the pavement...again
still havent heard from any places i applied to over spring break. so im heading back out tomorrow to go harass more people and get somebody to give me a job. i put in 3 more applications yesterday online. hoping to hear back from one of those, maybe. im not sure where else im going to go; i already hit up just about everywhere that i could stand to work. anything beats flipping burgers, but id still rather avoid waiting tables. i couldnt deal with jerks all day every day. id put a fork through someones eye.

i put up a pic yesterday, finally. a nice image of inu as a dragon. and, of course, whats a pic of inu without one of liana. have a liana image in the works as we speak. i have quite nicely shattered my artists block and am back at it. so yes, please go look at that. and actually use the DA link i put there. there is a much LARGER image as well as a better description, as always. thanks.

i can really identify with this after this year.

art is up
hopefully ill be able to draw more now. as is, one picture up for now. tis of inus dragon form, and it looks eeeevil. the bg was kinda thrown together at the last moment, so its rather cheesy. follow the link to DA for a full description and a reasonably-sized image. curses on the restrictions here that prevent me from doing anything about the small image size.(so stop telling me to make them bigger. i cant. why do you think i give you the DA link. this isnt just one person, im just trying to make this clear so i get real comments, not complaints about the size)

at long last
finally, finished with exams. first year of college is over and done with. geez it was one hell of a year. but enough on that.

seems ive managed to shatter the exam-induced artist block that has been plaguing me for days. did a nice sketch of inus dragon form. dont have very many full-body shots of her. she looks like shes about to jump off the paper and eat your head. its amusing. not a very good sketch, but i just wanted to get something onto paper. not that inu looks correctly proportioned anyway. yay for mixing 2 really different species. liana tends to call inu the draconic frankenstein, but that allows me to get away with some anatomical irregularities. whoo for being a lazy artist. should have that up sometime later today.

i have a haircut around 1, finally. ive been too lazy to get my hair cut at college, so its basically been a year. (despite the fact that my tkd place is in the back of a hair salon) sooo that will be nice, get it all hacked off. my hair is too thick to deal with when it gets past shoulder length. alright, enough on that. (i honestly dont obssess about my hair. its just annoying right now)

almost done
countdown: 1 day left, at last.

last exam tomorrow, and then im done for the semester. lots of extra studying to do today.

had a good birthday. not a whole lot going on. my dad has been out of town and wont be home til this afternoon. were waiting for him to get home, then were going to have our family dinner and whatnot. liana gave me the soundtrack to Gladiator, and its really good. my parents got tickets to a Michael Buble concert. thats later in july, and it should be awesome. and ace gave me this, which is absolutely hilarious and made my day. (hope ya dont mind me putting it on here, ace. i love it^^)

thats about it, i believe. going to drag my dog off my clean laundry and go to bed in a bit.

^___^
yay today is my birthday^^ pardon me if i dont tell you how old i am. dont trust people on the internet that i dont know in other circumstances. aaaaanyway, tis happy. liana spent the night last night and we had fun. watch FFVII movie, and twas very good. we were confused in some parts, having never played that particular game, but a lot of stuff was reasonably explained, so we could follow well enough. we went bowling today, and we both did terribly. i think the final scores were 71 and 69. whooo bowling is not our sport. its been raining here for a few days, so we couldnt do anything outside, which is sad. we wanted to do something outside. dont have any further plans for the night. mainly just enjoy the fact that im exempt from studying. my dad is out of town until tomorrow, so were holding off on family stuff until hes home. but yay, inu is happy.
