yay friday
yaaay its friday. granted, as im home anyway it doesnt really matter. however, lianas coming over tonight, because tomorrow is my birthday. we have no idea what were going to do, as its supposed to be raining. we rented Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for tonight. should be entertaining, even tho neither of us has played FFVII. (lianas played FFX, and i havent played any) but it looks awesome anyway.(yeah, were sad. "oh! cool looking movie! oh! violence!")

hehe, i have all my college stuff piled in the guest room, including my bed stuff. was searching for my dog and couldnt find him. then i happened to glance in there and noticed my large comforter was twitching. then i saw the little black and white nose sticking out from under the black and white blanket. it was adorable. my oreo likes burrowing. he sleeps with me and always burrows under the blankets. i have no idea how he breathes or doesnt over-heat, but he loves it. he snores like nothing else tho. poor flat-nosed puppy. hes a boston terrier, if you were curious. (thats not him, but close enough) i love my little puppy. (who just happens to be nearly 9, but still answers to 'puppy') yes, i have a soft spot for dogs. my name is 'inu', what do you expect?

quote of the day: lyrics
"There'll be no more hiding in shadows of fear; There'll be no more chains to hold you; The future is yours - you hold the key; And there are no walls with freedom; Now we're here, we won't go back; We are one world; We have one voice; Side by side we are not afraid; Because the train is coming to carry you home!" -Phil Collins, “Dance into the Light”

such an awesome song. go find it.

2 done
2 of three exams done. free until monday. obviously, must do a lot of studying in the meantime. both exams went well. tho writing a total of 7 essays in one day is not really my idea of fun. mostly moved out of the dorm, just have a few more items to get next week. i kinda wish my chem exam had been first just to get it over with.

hm. i sit here looking around my room and thinking i may change some stuff. theres a very old drawing on the wall that id like gone. its from 10th grade, and it is very sad. poor mutilated dragons...ugh and the coloring...and the details...icky. anyway, i have some much better things that are also from high school. i may steal my parents digital camera and upload pictures of them. im pretty proud of a couple. enh i may do that if i get bored aka am taking a break form studying.

and now, there is hot fudge cake downstairs, and i want it (yes, at 11:20pm)

quote of the day:
“Folk who don't know why America is the Land of Promise should be here during an election campaign.” -Milton Berle

haha, stupid politicians.

E-day 1 has arrived
*insert bad-joke groans here* yes, E-day 1 refering to the first day of exams. arent i clever. im sure you havent heard that one before. alright, bad attempts at cleverness aside, i have 2 exams today. im not terribly concerned. lit, no trouble. philosophy, bleh. ill go some more studying for that before the exam at 2.

im pretty much moved out now. desk and closet are empty(except for laundry) have a few things still on my desk that im currently using, but ill get as much of that home tomorrow as i can. wow, this is the last night ill be spending here this year. thats weird.

oooooh boy. laras going over to her bfs room to watch anime as a stress relief. i thought that was a lovely idea and almost joined her until she said what they were watching. azumanga dioh. dear lord that is one of the most bizarre and i have to say one of the worst animes ive ever had the misfortune to see. and no i wont say sorry for insulting it if you like it. i dont much go for cute, fluffy, lacking coherance and ridiculous. yay for pointless violence.

quote of the day:
“Not my responsibility. You should have learned by now that this is a kill or be killed world. If you’re too weak to help yourself, then you deserve to fall.” –Hiei

what? i like harsh and biting hiei quotes. theyre always entertaining. and fun to use in conversations with people you know wont recognize them ^____^

free day. no, really
countdown: 2 days (exam days)

today is the reading day, so no classes, no work, nothing. seeing as i have 2 of 3 exams tomorrow, im going to be using this study day. fortunately, i only have to study for 1 of those. lit requires nothing more than glancing back through the books to make sure of names. the exam is going to eb over the last 2 books we read, so thats easy. seperate essays, no trouble. the other one is philosophy, which i will have to study for. which will be fuuuuun. stupid class... after that, i have nothing until next monday afternoon. so ill be going home between there. and, my birthday is that saturday, so ill get a nice study break (provided i work myself to death before)

found a little time to sketch last night. i know i shouldnt be doing so, but you must understand, drawing is a part of my sanity. i have to break from school stuff for awhile or i dont get anything done. so yes, random sketch of some sort of canid. just working on pose and proportions and such.

quote of the day:
“Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right.” -Isaac Asimov

i like that

ugh........
countdown: 3 days

philosophy paper....the pain...*head hits desk* 5 hours and 6 pgs of rubish later, im not finished yet. yes rubish. shut up. i could use more colorful words to describe it, but liana would murder me. im almost done, ill fix it up a bit tomorrow before class. i may be able to get away with a bit extra time and taking it to the professors office after class. he did say we arent required to be in class, and he originally said take them by his office. its logical right? i may need that extra hour. well see. illget it turned in tomorrow. urgh, i have one more chem problem to do...i should do that now so i dont have to worry about it tomorrow. shouldnt take me long. this is the last day of classes. joy. feel my excitement. enh, the paper has sapped my ability to be enthusiastic. illget back to you later on that.

just need to get through the next 3 days, then i get a break for a few days before my last exam. oi, inu wants to sleep for a week. party at inus once her exams are over. im off to do that one problem, then go lay in bed and twitch for awhile.

quote of the day:
“Always be wary of any helpful item that weighs less than its operating manual.” -Terry Pratchett

i think this applies to my calculator....yay pratchett. yay silly books. i need to read more of those.

at last
and things draw to a close. last day of work today, which is so nice. im glad thats over with. the rest of us decided to leave the useless girl who conveniently vanishes when theres work to be done to finish cleaning up on her own.we got sick of picking up the slack for her, so now she can do something useful for once.

final day of classes tomorrow, and i only have 2 classes. have a paper due in philosophy so were not having class other than turning that in. were really not doing much in my other classes, so it should be a fairly simple day.

in random interesting stuff, my bday is in a little under a week. fortunately its on saturday so i dont have to worry about having an exam then. and i have strongly reserved the right to not study on that day. seems only fair to me. and now im off to contemplate my philosophy paper and all the pointlessness that comes with it.

yay weekend
aiye its been a long week. im looking forward to a relaxing weekend, and this isnt going to be it. lots going on, as can be expected.

quite frankly, i really have nothing to say. actually, i put art up yesterday, so id appreciate it if you went to see that and left me some comments. the DA links are there as well for those of you who say my stuff here is too small. this is why i put the DA links there at all, so do me the favor to just copy and paste those into your url bar instead of whining to me about how small the images are. if i could make them bigger, i would. but i cant, so kindly leave me alone about it. thanks.

at last
countdown: 4 days

2 class days and 2 exam days left. oh the happiness.

have a chem test this morning, but im really not worried. have my last philosophy class today. we have a paper due monday, so were not having class. which makes me so happy, im really sick of that class. in breaks between classes im going to pack up my car with everything im not going to need and start carting it home. hope to have nearly everything gone by my last exam so i can just get out as soon as im done.

bringing home two pics, as i said yesterday. this is likely to be the last art until exams are finished. while i would love to take the time to draw something for the sake of my sanity, i cant afford to.

^__^
countdown: 5 days

my roommate and i passed last night. ^__^ yay for no longer being white belts.

have the second half of my chem lab practical today. the written part, oh joy. not looking forward to this. i can do the experiments easily, its the calculations im not so good at. seems to me that a lab practical should be just that, practical. making us redo calculations that we havent touched in months isnt practical. and i have a chem test tomorrow, but that shouldnt be too bad. its fairly easy stuff. you know its actually not that difficult to assemble a nuclear bomb? we got to learn how that works, and it was cool. and nuclear reactors, seeing as yesterday was the 20th anniversary of chernobyl (google it if you dont know) its very interesting. so yes. then i have a philosophy paper due monday, which happens to be the last day of classes. then exams start wednsday.

coming home this weekend. need to bring some stuff home and go locate possible employers to remind them that im still here. im bringing two pics home with me (havent had the time for others)

quote of the day:
“When it hurts to look back, and you’re scared to look ahead, you can look beside you, and your best friend will be there.”

old and well-known, but i like it anyway

by the way, thanks for 2300 hits^^
