whoo
countdown: 6 days
classes end monday, then i have 2 days for exams. oh so awesome.
nothing major today that i know of. reviewing for a chem test friday. have the second half of the ;ab practical tomorrow. still need to do that philosophy paper. enh. have some other stuff for chem that i need to do as well. curse the desire to procrastinate bred by the ability to easily do so in high school. Read some more in that book from the other day. and that same character is still freaking annoying. by the way, its called "purple hibiscus" by chimamanda adichie if anyone was curious. its for my african lit class, in case that wasnt obvious.
had dinner with my dad last night and started sending unnecessary stuff home with him. far better, i think, to move out in shifts rather than all at once after exams are over. going to take more home this weekend, and then again after my first two exams.
my roommate and i are testing for our second belt in tkd tonight. were both ready, so were hoping that goes well.

free day yet again
countdown: 7 days
trumpet in the morning, last lesson of the year. ive come pretty far. not as far as i had wished, but im passable to a degree. obviously its clear ive only been playing for a year, but apparently im able to play things that most cant by this time, my ability to read music notwithstanding. work as usual at 11. last tuesday work of the year. have one more sunday, and thats it. no work during exams, obviously. so yay. nearly done with that. hoping to get some better sort of work next year. preferably working in the theatre department building sets.
nothing really else to talk about this time. had that idea for a drawing, but its not working as it should. i have another idea, but i kinda want to do the other first, as it was a request/suggestion from liana. which generally means an idea goes to the top of my list. but bleh, i cant come up with a way to do it that i like. hate that problem. cursed artists block.

i laugh. simple as that.

once again...
countdown: 8 days (that im in class or taking an exam) thats awesome.
just reassessed my calandar, and thats what i came up with. that count isnt including weekends, the study day, and the week days im not in an exam. awesome.
the percussion concert went well. it was a lot of fun. got to talk with liana afterwards, which was nice. we played 4 pieces, 3 of which i was in. lots of fun stuff. did this one insanely fast one called "equal fire" that goes nuts with tempo and rhythm, throwing in these crazy rhythms on off beats. it sounds like it has to be off, but everything fits perfectly.
lit class is finally starting up again this week. 2 cancelled classes and it seems like much longer. bleh, i have to start on a philosophy paper, arguing the point of one of 2 writers that i dont agree with. thats always fun. thats one i cant throw together the night before, sadly.
no new drawings, but i have an idea for one. ill do that whenever i pin it down long enough to force it onto paper.

nooooo....
percussion ensemble concert today. the subject refers to the fact that the dress rehearsal is at 10am. >< so much for sleeping in. so i have that, have to be at work by 11:30, then have to leave work early to get ready for the concert. (what? seems like showering before a concert is a generally good idea. and i dont have to clean up after work. i have my ulterior motives.) liana gets to come to the concert, so well get to talk^^ and shes never seen one of our percussion concerts. oh shall be fun.
um...finished some reading for my lit class, last book of the year. good book, but one of the characters makes youjust want to slap him. a friend and i jointly described him as "excruciatingly catholic". no religious slurs intended, but good lord this guys insane. to the point of beating his children and wife when the daughter breaks the eucharist fast because she cant take pain medicine on an empty stomach. its insane. apparently the ending is very satisfying for those of us sick of his fanatacism. finishing that next week, may read ahead. nothing else of note to report, so im off.
quote(s) of the day: (insanity from the people inu associates with)
“Oh my god, where’s my Heart of Darkness??” –Lara (roommate, looking for a book)
"I'm so goth, I s*** bats" -Joseph (laras bf)
“Are you sure St. Patrick’s Day originated in Europe? He was an Irish saint. Wait…I did not just say that.” –Liana
"Watashi-no atama ni ono ga aramusu!! (Oh my god there’s an axe in my head!!)" -Hannah (in band)
"If life gives you lemons, make grapefruit juice and sit back and let them wonder how you did it." – Katherine (in art)
“I have plenty of energy...I'm just too tired to use it, that's all."–Inu (dont ask)
"I scorn you. From way over here." -Melissa
"You can leave now. Running for your life is so dorky." -Stacy
yup, were all insane. a couple of those people were from high school, but im still in contact with. how much fun...wasnt that an amusing deviation from normal quotes?

nearing the end
my third to last weekend for the semester, i do believe. its alumni weekend, so there are a lot of people on campus. its a rather sad commentary on our society when an elderly couple is genuinelly surprised by a college student opening and holding a door for them. isnt that just common courtesy? yet another reason to dislike my "peers" (i dont associate myself with them, thus the "")
nothing planned for today. started a little sketch awhile ago of liana the videogame nerd. its really hard to draw a dragon holding a videogame controller when you yourself hardly know what the controller looks like. see, liana gets reeeeeally into her games, and its hilarious to watch as she yells at the screen. for example: Liana: *playing devil may cry* *shooting enemies and pounding controller* DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!!!! HAHA!! I WINS!!!" its so funny.
quote of the day:
"There’s an unknown pandemic that’s already engulfed the entire world. It’s caused massive devastation over years, its killed billions and it tears us apart every day, it will be the end of this planet. That plague, is called humanity."

friday at last
countdown til end of school: 11 days
lab practical went fine yesterday. only had the lab part, written part is next week. had a huge storm last night. it was so awesome. rolled through around 1. stayed up watching the lightning until it stopped. i managed to avoid all the 4/20 mess, which was half accident half planned. i forgot until someone mentioned it, then made careful plans to stay away from likely locations. i find it ridiculous that theres a day designated (albeit unofficially) to pot-smoking. i mean, how ridiculous is that? "lets celebrate drugs! were all going to die young!" idiocy....
classes end ai 1, since my lit class is still cancelled. yay for that. roommates bf is in here again. im hoping he leaves by a reasonable hour. meaning not 2. inu doesnt crash early, but i like to be in bed by 1:30 at least. and i do not go to bed while hes in here. thats very awkward.

yay
countdown to end of school: 12 days
a good day, balanced out by one bad event. today, 1) i get to lie in (not sleep in, im woken up early) 2) its sundae thursday (yay ice cream!) 3) schools nearly over. however, i have my chem lab practical today. which will not be fun. this one will be different from the last, as were going to be working alone on this one. its an experiment weve done so many times before, so that doesnt worry me. the calculations however, worry me. its not much, and its fairly simple, but im horrible at them. blah. the experiment doesnt bother me, even with the calculations. the written practical makes me nervous. a lot of comprehensive calculations and proceedural stuff. i dont think thats tomorrow, i think its next week. but im not banking on that.
tkd last night went well. were both deemed alright for testing next week, so thats a good thing. still have a bit of work to do, but thats it.
not really much else to talk about. oh, i lie. liana and i finished uploading our 17th story, finished writing the 18th, and started on the 19th all within a couple days. so, as usual, wed appreciate if people looked at those. (we thank you on here who have done so, namely Ace and Yami.)
quote of the day:
“The words that escape a friend's mouth are ‘I'll be there when you say you need me’ but the words that are unheard from a true friend's heart are ‘I'll be there...whether you say you need me or not.’”
what? i like sappy yet profound friendship quotes. theyre usually the most true.

band concert went well last night. sounded pretty good, tho some of the sound was, as expected, lost. went out to dinner with my parents after. it was nice. now theres the percussion concert sunday to get ready for. but band is mostly over.
going to lianas tkd place tonight; our class is cancelled. should be entertaining. were both going there over the summer, since its pretty close. (very close to my house, not sure about lara) were testing for our next belt next week, so we figured it wasnt the best idea to miss class.
finished that drawing i was talking about yesterday. looks pretty good. obviously several mistakes, but thats expected. and this was just for my own amusement, so i really dont care if people dislike it because of mistakes. (sorry, just dislike it when people are like "you messed up! i dont like it! you suck!" i dont really care. i do art for me, not you. unless youre liana; then youre worthy.)

*yawn*
countdown to end of year: 13 days
13 class days left. man thats awesome. and today is my academically free day. trumpet this morning, then work. then band concert tonight. its outside, so that should be nice. its combined with the jazz ensembles, so this is going to be a long concert. going to dinner with my parents after its over.
drew last night again. none of the characters on lianas hit list, just boredom. felt like drawing a couple lesser-known creatures, so i did. an aardwolf and a bat-eared fox. fox is in anthro form, aardwolf in taur form, just because. it looks neat, actually. very very random, but neat.
(go look at my recent art if you havent. i command thee)
quote of the day:
“When a man wants to murder a tiger, he calls it sport; when the tiger wants to murder him, he calls it ferocity.”
"sport" hunting, what a joke.
