college
well. i leave for college tomorrow morning. much to the sadness of everyone. been packing all day. i have more crap that i have to take than i thought possible. tho, i likely have far less than most of the other girls doing this same thing. i dont need a bunch of crap. heh, my mom was horrified that i got all of my clothes for this semester into just 2 boxes. but hey, i dont need more than some pairs of shorts and a bunch of tshirts. granted, im also taking one pair of cargos for when it gets colder. i will never understand the girls who absolutely have to have a different matching outfit for every day. i mean really, jean shorts and some athletic shorts work with any tshirt. saves me space and laundry efforts.

i managed to get some new art supplies to take with me today. but, i dont know if ill have easy access to a scanner, so there may be a significant drop-off in my art until i come home. guess thats about it. im not really nervous or anything about leaving. only thing that really bugs me is that i wont get to be with my family or hang out with liana very much. sure, im close to home, but its not the same. anyway, ill still be around, just not as much. good luck to the rest of you college students.

news
had a fun weekend at the lake with liana. we both start school wthis week and were enjoying our last weekend of freedom. liana starts tomorrow, and i start weds. well, classes for me dont start til next tues, but i go for orientation weds. get moved into my dorm, all that. all the rest of you here going to college, good luck your freshman year. its going to be crazy for all of us.

in other news, i did another pic that was a suggestion from liana. it turned out very well. well, the bg is a bit sketchy, but overall its pretty good. so if you would go take a look at that and leave me some comments, i would be most appreciative.

fenrir
is the subject of my most recent pic. havent heard of him? hes a wolf from norse mythology. son of loki(trickster god) and a giantess, he was allowed to roam free until he started showing his dislike of the gods. they proposed a game to him. they would chain him, and he (boasting of his strength) would try to break it. the first two chains he snapped easily. finally the gods asked the dwarves to craft a chain to bind the giant wolf. the chain, gleipnir, was made from: the footsteps of a cat, a mountains roots, a womans beard, the breath of a fish, a bears vigor, and a birds spittle. the gods challeneged fenrir to the game again. but he, suspecting something, asked that as a show of good faith, one of the gods put their hand in fenrirs mouth. tyr(god of justice) agreed, and fenrir was chained. gleipnir, barely more than a thin ribbon, proved unbreakable. in anger, fenrir took tyrs hand. fenrir will remain chained until the day of ragnarok(end of the world) when he will break free.

success
i have defeated the artists block with a nice hint from liana. she suggested i draw a fallen angel, which fit nicely with my love of drawing winged things. so i did. it turned out very nicely, fallen angel who isnt really bothered by being evil. its fun and happy. go see.

losing sanity...
dont you hate artists block? ive been drawing a lot this summer (as you liekly noticed) and im constantly running headlong into a huge cement artists block. its driving me crazy. i just have to draw, but theres nothing good to draw that i can think of at the time. liana is usually very helpful with my lack of ideas, but lianas not around at the moment. if anyone has suggestions or requests, feel free to say something. (leave suggestions here, and pm me if you have a request) geez...the curse of all artists.....lack of ideas....evil...

curious
i just finished and posted another pic of an anthro. i am curious if anyone can name the species. its a supposedly extinct creature. its a good representation, and i wonder if any of you know what it is. if you know, leave a comment here, at the pic, or pm me if you want. this isnt a contest, i just wonder how many people will know what it is.

did yet another pic. in this one, its inu again, but i was having fun playing with other weapons rather than her usual sword (tho she has that too) this time she has sais, and, thanks to the insane taekwondo maniac liana, i got the sais and the grip correct this time. its a nice dramatic pic, so go see.
