"workin' for the weekend..."
i really need to avoid sunday work next year. serves to nicely screw up my weekends.
last week before spring break, thank all the gods. but im not going to get a very restful spring break. i, like all the other college students, will be out applying for jobs. every freaking day. i havent the faintest idea of where to start. well, i have maybe three or four places in mind, but i know thats not near enough. i hate applying to jobs. especially being a tall, scrawny, blonde teen applying for a job. the automatic "cheerleader" sterotype plagues me and i dont get any credit for competence. as if the teen stereotype of "lazy, worthless, completely disrespectful, and a druggie" isnt bad enough, now im classified as brainless on top of it. curse culture-imposed stereotypes...
did some sketching today. colored two that have been sitting on my desk and did a new by request of liana. and i have to do another couple pertaining to liana. notice the distinct presence of lianas thoughts in my art? i swear half my ideas come from her. for one who is not herself an artist, she has a remarkable amount of ideas and grasp of the concepts.
today the quote shall be more fun, for it comes from a book called "the little book of venom", a lovely book of insults and curses.
quote of the day:
"May the curse of Mary Malone and her nine blind illegitimate children chase you so far over the hills of Damnation that the Lord himself can't find you with a telescope." -Traditional Irish curse
sorry if you dont like the language, but this is absolutely the best curse ive ever heard. for sheer randomness and hilarity, this is just excellent.
