zhong jio qie kuai le!
(dont ask me how to pronounce all that; i cant write it phonetically)
happy moon day to one and all. and happy friday, as it were. moon day is essentially chinese thanksgiving. spend time with family and all that. we didnt do much in chinese this morning, class wise. we just celebrated and learned some of the history. and we had moon cakes. id say those are definately an aquired taste. especially the ones with lotus seed filling.
i have a zoo lab practical at 1. shoot me, please. by the way, its pronounced "zo-ology" not "zoo-ology". sorry, pet peeve. nearly everyone gets it wrong. including people in my class. that was funny. geh, anyway, ive been staring at jellyfish and sponges for days now, and im starting to lose my mind.
coming home this afternoon. im going pretty much straight to lianas once ig et back in town, so art will be tomorrow. i dont have that much stuff, and most of it will be on dA. but there it is.
this is so random, but theres a point. you know that god-awful computer speech? acronyms, abbreviations, numbers in place of letters, all that crap? its annoying enough trying to read it, but trying to decipher it when people say it aloud is ridiculous. i have heard far too many people say "haha lawl" "brb" and "zomg!" in normal conversation. why? somebody tell me why people speak like this. random, yes, but its annoying. speak a real language people!
quote of the day:
"Attitudes are contagious. Mine might kill you." –Unknown
